Today we are talking on the 40th Anniversary of Beverly Hills Cop with returning guest Larry Sternshein who was last on talking about the John Woo movie Broken Arrow but is now here to discuss the wisecracking Eddie Murphy in his most iconic role, Axel Foley. The first in a series now 4 movies strong, the original is a staple of the 1980s and time has not dulled it's shine.

Today we are joined by Andy Gorham once again to take another dive into the world of comic book movies.
We haven't visited the MCU since episode 2 with Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was always my intention to cover the Deadpool movies and indeed we will still will! But for right now we are going to talk about Deadpool & Wolverine which has just crossed the billion dollar mark in it's theatrical run.
This movie had a lot of expectations placed upon it, can it live up to them? Does it shatter them? Listen in and let's discuss.

Today we are celebrating the first of many 40th anniversaries, kicking things off with Walter Hill's rock and roll fable Streets of Fire. A film that had a lot more influence on pop culture than anyone could have foreseen at the time, even if you've never seen this movie you've likely seen one that took inspiration from it, music videos that learned from it's editing or video games that took the aesthetic and ran with it. Joining me today we have returning guest Mike Fury, author of the Art of Action books and a massive Walter Hill fan!

At long last we've had Dan on and it was during our Season of Shinobi to talk about one of the highest regarded Canon movies in this starring vehicle for martial arts legend Sho Kosugi.

Joining me today we have the return of Andy Gorham to the show to talk about the 1980 classic "The Octagon" starring Chuck Norris and Lee Van Cleef. This film has it all, an unconventional Norris role, ninjas, mercenaries, the debut appearance of Richard Norton and of course, insanely incoherent whispering.
Don't miss this one!

On today's episode I am joined by returning guest Super Marcey to discuss one of the progenitors for the "ninja craze" in 1981s Enter the Ninja.
Take a shot every time we say this is a weird movie if you want a real challenge! This is a movie that has not aged gracefully I'll say that much.

In this episode, we dive into the world of Karate Kill, a martial arts soaked revenge tale with strong grindhouse vibes. The film follows Kenji, a mysterious loner and Karate master, whose little sister goes missing in Los Angeles. Determined to find her, Kenji embarks on a relentless quest, facing off against anyone who stands in his way.
Karate Kill offers plenty of action, colourful characters, and wild bloodshed. We explore the film's unique blend of martial arts and exploitation elements, discussing its impact on the genre and its reception among audiences. Join us as we dissect the thrilling fight sequences, delve into the film's themes, and analyse the performances of the cast.
Joining me today is the wandering ronin himself, Matthew Essary, a fellow connoisseur of the sleazier action movie.
