#NFL #UFC Miles Killebrew plays for the Detroit Lions and is a Las Vegas local! He was kind enough to stop by during our historic "almost" 24 Hour Podcast before the world shut down last month. He talked about what it was like stepping on the field for the first time, the pressure of being in the league and the business of football. We also talked about "life after football" and this guy is so wise beyond his actual years. Along the way we had a surprise FaceTime call with UFC legend Frank Trigg. We had a great time catching up with Trigg and talked about how he successfully transitioned from the UFC to being a stuntman in movies and also becoming an MMA referee.

One month into #quarantinelife as a result of #CoronaVirus and many of us are getting a little stir crazy. After arguing with countless people on Facebook, I decided I'd go ahead and piss more people off by doing a quick rant with some of my thoughts. The bottom line is this: I don't think the current strategy is going to work. This doesn't mean I don't care about people dying from the virus, it simply means I don't think shutting down the country over a virus that ultimately kills a little more than 1.5% of the people that get it in our country makes any sense. Yes, I understand the argument of "slowing the spread" so that the hospitals don't get overwhelmed. That is definitely a great argument. However, that cannot be the long term solution. We can't shut the world down over something where 95% of the cases are MILD. Moving forward I think we need to figure out how to fix the hospitals getting overwhelmed problem. That's the problem we need to focus on. Staying at home indefinitely until "the coast is clear" is a bad strategy. Now they're saying that 50% of the people that test positive for Covid19 NEVER show any symptoms! If that's the case how are we ever going to know when it is safe to leave the house and go back to "normal"? Time to get back to work and figure out a different strategy. Just my two cents. MESSAGE FROM JON ORLANDO: We started this podcast three years ago. It all started with Me, and Jake Ellenberger at Hollywood Park Casino. Then from there we did the show literally wherever we could; in the basement of my apartment building, at RVCA gym in Orange County, in the lobby of the Bellagio, from my couch in my apartment, and one time somehow I ended up in Daniel Negreanu's living room doing the show! Now for our 100th episode we find ourselves in our newly remodeled studio at Show Creators Studios in Las Vegas doing a 24 hour live podcast with 26 guests! Well, almost 24 hours...I tapped out at 20 hours but only because a handful of guests canceled down the stretch. Trying to make a good living doing something you love as many of you know is beyond stressful at times. Doing this podcast has been lots of; hard work, ups and downs, happy tears and sad tears over the past three years. We live in a world now where you're solely judged on likes, comments and views. As a result of that, sometimes it makes it difficult to be proud of your own work. While this show isn't anywhere as big as I want it to be, I'm very proud of what its become over the last three years and I'm even more excited about where I believe its going.
