Romans: Lead Others
Romans 14:1-23

Main idea: We set a Christ-like example through our daily living. 

We must live by our own convictions (14:1-8). 

We should build each other up, not tear down (14:13-18). 

We will each stand before the judgement seat of God (14:9-12, 19-23).

Romans 13:1-14

Main idea: We practice the Gospel through submission to biblical authority.

God’s Selection
Romans 10:14-11:36

Main idea: We can trust in the mystery of God’s wisdom. 


God does not reject people, people reject God (10:14-11:2a).


We are saved by God’s grace (11:2b-24).


We are chosen by God’s mercy (11:25-32).

11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Romans: Faith in Obedience
Romans 9:30-10:13

Main idea: Obedience is the result of genuine faith. 

They will attempt to achieve salvation on their own (9:30-10:3). 

We all need a Savior, and he is Jesus Christ (10:4-7) 

You (One) must confess Jesus as Lord and Savior (10:8-13).

Salvation by Faith
Romans 9:1-29

Main idea: Salvation is offered by God’s mercy and grace alone.

Those who are in Christ are the true spiritual descendants of Abraham (9:1-11).

Works do not make one a child of God (9:12-24).

God has offered salvation to all people (9:25-29).

We are infinitely exalted by the grace of God, the Father (8:31-33). 

We are eternally triumphant in the victorious work of Christ, the Son (8:34-39).
