We desire unity in the body (11:17-22, 27-34).

We commemorate the sacrifice of Christ (11:23-25).

We proclaim Christ’s return (11:26).

Judges 17:1-21:25

Main idea: True peace comes from God.

Religion can not bring peace (17:1-18:31).

Law can not bring peace (19:1-21:24).

Only God can bring peace (17:6; 18:1; 19:1; 21:25).

Judges 13:1-16:31

Main idea: God works in spite of our weakness.

God has a purpose for all of us (13:1-25).

God knows our weaknesses and helps us overcome them (14:1-16:31).

True strength is found in humility (16:18-20).

Despite his faults, God still used Samson (16:31).

Main idea: In the midst of hopeless rebellion, God sent a Savior.

The people rebelled against God (2:6-13; 3:7).

The people were at odds with God (2:12-15; 3:8).

God gave the people over to their sin (2:16-3:6).

God sent the people salvation through a Savior (2:16; 3:9-11).

Despite our failure to obey, God never breaks his promise (2:1-5).

Run from tempting people, places, and things (Proverbs 4:14-15; Genesis 39:6-23).

Run to accountability (1 Samuel 18:1-4; 2 Samuel 12:1-15; Judges 14-16).

Run toward the things of God (2 Timothy 2:22).
