Genesis 4:1-26

Main idea: Pride corrupts, but God restores. 


God knows our hearts (4:1–7).


Pride leads to more sin and its consequences (4:8-12).


God cares for and protects the sinner (4:13–16).

Genesis: Sin and Its Remedy
Genesis 3:1-24

Main idea: God secured victory over sin. 

Temptation turns to sin (3:1–7). 

Sin disrupts the relationship between God and man (3:8–10). 

Correction leads to shame and evasion (3:11–13). 

Sin leads to consequences (3:14–19). 

God provides the opportunity for redemption (3:20-24).

Main idea: God gave man an exalted position in creation. 


God gave us the gift of Spirit (2:7).


God gave us the gift of morality (2:15–19).


God gave us the gift of companionship (2:20–24).
