Main idea: Jesus is the King of Kings.


The king has victory over hostile nations (Ps 2:1-4, 2Sam 5:13–25, 7:1; Jn 16:33).


The king was appointed by God’s decree (Ps 2:5–6, 2Sam 5:1–10, Jn 18:37).


The king is proven by his obedience to God (Ps 2:7–12, 2Sam 7:8–16; Jn 6:38).

Main idea: Worship is more than celebration, it is obedience.


God is worthy of praise and obedience (Ps. 24:1–2).


We must continually seek, trust, and obey God (Ps. 24:3–6; 2 Chr. 15-16).


We do not come to God, he comes to us (Ps. 24:7–10; 2 Sam. 6:12–15).

Main idea: We praise God for his salvation. 


We are in a situation of our own making (1 Sam. 21:10).


God knows our situation and he is there with us (Ps. 34:4–7, 15–18).


God saves us from our situation (Ps. 34:5, 7, 17–19, 22).


God deserves our praise and devotion (Psalm 34:1–3, 12–14).

Get Right

You can not conquer sin on your own (5:16–21).

Our commitment is marked by service (6:21–22).
