Spader plays the inexplicably attractive to his female colleagues language professor sent to the south pole to decipher the witterings of an alien pod. Things go from bad to weird while Spader tries to avoid women's advances and desire to shower with him and wanders around looking bored, waiting for the paycheck to drop.
