Galadeon posted in the forums to let everyone know about a new MMO in development called Ashes of Creation. It’s a player driven content MMO with the content unlocked by player activities around hidden nodes in the game. A 6+ minute video of the basic concepts is also in the forum post. Follow up from our last podcast, Noob Raid did invade Trials of Valor raid and were able to knock down the first two bosses in the Trial, way to go raiders!

Patch 7.2 has been out for a bit now and players have unlocked two of the three towers and experienced what was offered by each. Most feedback seen, seem to indicate the solo scenario for your class weapons was very difficult and higher level gear is going to be needed for most folks to complete the scenario, also the extra loot chest (the random buff) did provide extra loot but I think folks were looking for a bit more from it.

The Nether Disruptor was completed and brought with it a world boss that has a chance to drop loot (I received a ilevel 900 Blood Relic for my tanking weapon) as well as an item that gives you Artifact Power (with level 28 AK it gives 1.2 million AP). You also get the buff that if you spend a bonus roll token and don’t get bonus loot, there is a chance the token will be refunded to you. More Unstable Nether Portals are created while this tower is up and there is a chance to get Artifactor Commendations which are used in crafting legendaries by the three armor class professions (Tailoring, Leatherworking, and Blacksmithing).

Legion Invasions are also active, but the requirement to complete all four has been removed from Pathfinder Part 2 (to unlock flying in Legion), so the requirements now are just Pathfinder Part 1, Exploring all of Broken Shore, and getting getting to Revered reputation with Armies of Legionfall.

Getting reputation with Legionfall is achieved through Work Orders in your class hall, completing the World Quests that are up on the Broken Shore and turning in Building Supplies for Towers. Legion Invasions does not give Legionfall reputation, but they do help with the reputation for the zone they are in.

Patch 7.2 releases March 28th.

But since there’s only a day left (Monday) before the patch goes live, but here’s the highlights,

Get Your Artifact Weapon to (at least) 35 Traits - Once you’ve earned 35 traits in your Artifact Weapons, you’ll be eligible for a new questline to empower your weapon.

Cap Your Artifact Knowledge - Caps at 25 and will cap to 50 in 7.2

Complete Order Hall Class Campaign - To continue with your order hall campaign in 7.2, you must have completed all currently available order hall quests.

Collect 25,000 Order Resources for New Order Hall upgrades - The first upgrade (tier 7) costs 10,000 x Order Resources and takes one day to research.

The second (tier 8) costs 15,000 x Order Resources and research completion will take 5 days.

You’ll also need Order Resources for purchasing new artifact knowledge ranks (which now caps at 50).

Earn the Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One Achievement

Max Reputations to Exalted for Paragon - For each 10,000 reputation earned past Exalted, you will earn a supply reward similar to those awarded by Emissary Quests.

Level Class Hall Champions - All Champions will now be able to reach Legendary quality, which unlocks a third equipment slot.

Gather Crafting Materials for new BoE Legendaries

Sell Excess Gathered Materials Before Flying is Unlocked - With Flying, gathering becomes easier, supply increases and prices drop on the AH.

Collect Transmog Items

Toxxia, on our forums, has a great suggestion for a new micro-holiday in World of Warcraft and would like folks that like the idea to help vote it up in the WoW Forums.

From the post “Peacebloom Day would have you gather special blooms at 3 graveyards near the enemy faction and create a bouquet to leave at a graveyard near your faction capital (or get blooms from your faction to leave a bouquet for the enemy). Let the bouquets be visible for a week/month! Or maybe add this event to Remembrance Day/Hallows Eve? I'd call the quest Where Have All the Flowers Gone? and it would reward title: The Peaceable. In preparation for the upcoming patch 5.2, the SWTOR team has decided to help you gear up, level up, and generally speed up your progress in game. They are providing a 250% XP bonus (while leveling up) and a 250% command XP bonus once you reach max level. This will be starting Feb 7th and lasting through April 10th. So that will give returning folks, and players leveling up alts (to max level) plenty of time to take advantage of it. And for those with max level toons, this will speed up gaining CXP, which I know Max and Sema will be very happy with as it’s a constant topic they touch on in their podcast. Speaking of which

And speaking of patches, Blizzard continues to keep up with the content push, dropping patch 7.2 on the PTR. This patch brings another round of UI element fixes, a new raid, a pet dungeon scenario, and too many more things to mention. Patch 7.1.5 also brought in micro-holidays, the first of which is active now through Tuesday the 24th. Call of the Scarab is a micro-holiday celebrating the opening the gates of Ahn’Qiraj (On Caraj) during the classic World of Warcraft time period. Run AQ20 and AQ40 to get commendations to help your side (the Horde) win the event which will be represented by a Horde banner flying over the raids until the holiday comes around next year. There are also repeatable meat turn-ins and if you’re not yet exalted with Cenarian Circle you can scour Silithis for cultists and summon elemental lords to raise your reputation. NOMADS

Just a reminder that the Nomads’ Minecraft server has been shut down, but Stigg has made the world files available to anyone who wants them, be warned, it’s a large (5.8 G) download. Are you ready for some football, I mean Nighthold? Patch 7.1.5 drops on Tuesday, make sure you have any important world quests completed before patch day as world quests will be changing then. The Brawler’s guild is returning, Mists of Pandaria dungeons added to the Timewalking event, micro holidays are being introduced (check your in game calendar for dates), and a large number of class changes (especially to secondary stats). Another big change, especially for those people with Altitis that have been feeling a bit left out this expansion cycle, is the ability to catch up on Artifact Knowledge. If you have a character at AK 25, you will be able to purchase tomes for order hall resources that allow your alts to catch up to AK 20. Also, this gives everyone that’s doing progression raiding, about a week to get adjusted to the new changes in their classes as the Nighthold raid opens on January 17th, just one week after the 7.1.5 patch drops.

Mythic

 

There are no teams that have downed a Mythic boss in Emerald Dream or Trials of Valor yet, but we'll keep you posted once the siege begins.

Heroic

 

Better Late Than Never was the first to complete the Heroic version of Emerald Dream on November 7th with Mythic on Mains following on November 27th.

Kiddie Aggro is not far behind, having taken down 5 of 7, with Just Blame the Healers at 4 of 7, Horseshoes & Handgrenades at 3 of 7, Reckless Endangerment at 2 of 7,

and Who Pulled That?!?, Dojo of Awesome, and Chicken McThuggets all at 1 of 7.

 

Currently, none of the teams have tackled Odyn in Trials of Valor on Heroic difficulty, but that should come with time.

Normal

Better Late Than Never was the first team to take down Normal Emerald Dream, followed by the team Mythic on Mains for second place.

All of the remaining listed teams have also completed Normal progression for Emerald Dream. In order, those include:

Who Pulled That?!?, Kiddie Aggro, Reckless Endangerment, Filthy Casuals, Hydra, Just Blame the Healers, Dojo of Awesome, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Chicken McThuggets, FERT, and Deja Noobs.

 

These teams are now working on Trials of Valor; with the notable exception of Better Late Than Never who have already completed this raid in first place, with Mythic on Mains following in second.

 Kiddie Aggro, Just Blame the Healers and Filthy Casuals are 2 of 3, with Reckless Endangerment at 1 of 3.

Well, we have some good news and some bad news. As you probably know, Nerdtacular 2017 tickets went on sale Tuesday. AND, they quickly sold out! According to the truly awesome Scott Johnson, more tickets will be opening up! The best way to keep posted is either checking back at Nerdtacular.com or follow Scott, the lord of the Frogpants, on twitter - @scottjohnson (but, you probably knew that).

Oh, and if you are coming to Nerdtacular, come find us! Tet and I are making it for sure and if more tickets open up, we may see Mew, Mrs Mew the geekily awesome, and Baby Mew.

And speaking of the gatherings of the nerds, thanks to the organizers, staff, AIE members, and guest that stopped by the guild hall at Blizzcon! Oaten in the forums put a short shoutout to the Guild Hall for welcoming non AIE members, especially for the live Instance recording.

According to Stigg, the Nomad Minecraft server will be shutting down on December 16th, 2016 and world data will be made available via Dropbox (or a suitable) platform.

We’re 6 weeks into the 9 week storyline Insurrection in Suramar, leading up to breaking into Nighthold. This is the follow on story after the Good Sumaratan achievement and it’s story lines in Suramar. A new piece opens up every Tuesday with the server resets and is heading to a final confrontation with the Nightfallen leaders and the opening of the Nighthold raid.

Also, if you like testing things, patch 7.1.5 is up on the PTR and is dealing with a lot of class changes that are upcoming, the newly redesigned Brawlers Guild, and the introduction of micro-holidays to the make the world feel a bit more alive.
