The AIE Con 2022 will be taking place the weekend of March 19th and 20th which is next weekend. We will kick off the weekend with the AIE Town Hall at 1pm EST on the 19th and follow up with sessions for board games, D&D, casual games, and end the weekend with an epic podcast with hosts from various AIE adjacent shows. AIE's raid teams are chomping their way through the newly released Sepulcher of the First Ones. Kiddie Aggro downed 7/11 bosses on Normal difficulty and 1 boss (aka Pokeball) on Heroic. Go Team!
Hell Froze Over (Alliance side) defeated 3/11 bosses on Normal while Behind the Curve and Filthy Casuals are at 2/11 bosses. Our Teams are recruiting so if anyone is interested check the Discord #raidteam-recruitment or #raidteam-news channels.
Next weekend as part of AIE Con 2022, Gustytail will be leading Trial of Style runs on Sunday March 20. This twice a year event is a chance to show off your favorite fashions while judging everyone else's look.
WoW Classic
We have a small group that gets together on most Wednesday nights (and sometimes Sundays) to knock out group quests and/or do dungeons. AIE in The Burning Crusade on Mankrik is a quiet place to be and a nice server. If that sounds good to you, or you'd like to level up to get ready for Wrath, we have bags in the guild bank for you
SWTOR
One of our Operations teams, TACO, has room for 1 full time DPS player. They run on the Imperial side on Sunday nights at 8:30 Eastern No experience or gear required. Our other Operations teams are full, but frequently need fill-ins. We have teams running on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. It's always worth checking on those nights to see if there are openings if you feel the need for a little raiding.
We are still settling into the Legacy of the Sith expansion. With the new content, story skips, gearing tracks and other new features, it's a lot to process. Feel free to ask questions in the swtor discord channel and join us on Tuesday nights where we make progress together.

Cool things the guild has been doing:
- Public dungeons, hunting world bosses, and clearing zones of Skyshards.
- Trials!!! The last two weeks we've bravely gone in to 12 person content with 10-11 people and were successful in both killing bosses and having fun.
- If you are interested in running dungeons for pledges we have two dungeon groups that occasionally need someone to fill in. Check out the Undaunted Enclave channel in Discord for more information.
Things planned or coming up for the guild:
- Trials on nights we have 12 people online for MFNs
- The new DLC dungeons leading to High Isle come out on March 14th for PC and we will be grouping up to run them for MFNs the week they release.
FFXIV
The FFXIV Chapter has lots of stuff going on and we’d love you to be a part of it.
First off, a reminder that the suspension of new game purchases has been lifted. Furthermore, if you just wanted to check out the game on its free trial, well good news everyone! The free trial has been resumed! So, now you can check out everything that FFXIV has to offer! Come for the adventure, dungeons, and loot, stay for the pretty glamours!
In game, we have a few events to bring up. Starting March 14th, the yearly event “Little Ladies’ Day” starts up. If you happened to be listening to our voices after Tuesday, go to Ul’dah, Steps of Nald and start up the yearly event. It changes from year to year, with new rewards every year. Also starting up on Tuesday, the 14th, The Moogle Treasure Trove! Get the Irregular Tomestones from doing various activities in the game, and you can trade them in for some cosmetics that may no longer be available or difficult to get on your own. This event will run until the launch of patch 6.1. Speaking of which…
Patch 6.1 is on the horizon! While we don’t have an exact date, we do have “mid-April” as an approximate time frame. A whole slew of new things, such as more MSQ, dungeons, trials, Trials (like beast tribes but with a more respectful name), the return of Hildibrand (Abo’s note: YEAAAAAAH!), new Ultimate trial, and likely the most interesting change is the Improvements to the ARR 2.0 quests. Some people just don’t like group content. We get it and totally understand if you want to run completely solo. Now, AIE will be here for you, as we always have been. But, if you just want to log on, do your own thing, and be able to run dungeons as a solo player, the “Trust” system is going to be extended out to the base 2.0 game. This means any dungeons or trials that come up, you can chose to run them with a group of story relevant NPCs similar to the trust system that was started up in Shadowbringers and Endwalker.
There’s much more patch content new to talk about, so hopefully the AIE Podcast will have us on shortly (wink:wink) to talk about it in more detail.
In FC news, we are running multiple events over the week. Map Nights, Saturday nights at 9:30 EST, is still a hit and still has room for you. It’s fun, casual content, with extreme rewards for lining those Gil coffers. We do ask that you have completed the MSQ or at least unlocked all of the zones. You do not need to bring a treasure map, but it is always apricated if you do. If you do bring a map, we are looking for the “Kumbhiraskin” maps, as they are made for a group and has the chance to spawn the bonus portals.
For the FC buffs, remember to activate the Heat of Battle 3 buffs on the weekends. We “cook” up the grade 3 buffs during the week so that we can get that extra bump in XP on the weekends. Any one with the “member” rank or higher can refresh buffs or invite new people to the FC for that matter.
Remember, Discord is usually the best place to get a hold of the FFXIV member of AIE. So come on down, say hello, and we can help you get setup in the exciting adventures of FFXIV!
STO
The fleet is making another big step forward as the Fabricator is upgrading to tier V. This is the final project for the Engineering branch of the Starbase.
Science branch is closing in being able to unlock it's final tier V project as well. And that will make all sections of the Starbase Tier V.
The colony is still moving along nicely with it's projects.
STO has started a red alert event. But as this is a short event, likely going to have an announcement of the next event soon. (Probably this week)

AIE in Lost Ark
The hotly anticipated MMO ARPG officially launched just over a week ago, on February 11th. It has already made Steam history with over 1.3 million concurrent users in a single day, ranking 2nd only to Public Battlegrounds.
It experienced some launch challenges, as many new MMO titles do, that prevented new players creating characters on servers that friends had been playing on during the 3 day head-start. However, this lasted only a day and new character creation restrictions were rarely in place for long as the server populations have stabilized across the various servers and regions. More information concerning these issues, relevant compensatory gifts offered, and more has been communicated on the game’s official website: https://playlostark.com/
Alea Iacta Est’s presence is on the NA East Region’s Regulus server and we are currently accepting invites to "Aie Fidelis". The game's guild feature is unlocked after you acquire your first mount quest reward, and is accessible from the Community Menu in the game's interface.
Four guilds have been established in response to the initial interest in the game from the AIE Gaming Community in launch. Guild capacities are set initially to 30 members with an increasing cap up to 100 as the guild levels. This cap has been raised to 32 in two guilds which have already achieved Level 2. Guild progression and participation are important components to the growth of players’ characters as well as the guild. Each week, a portion of earned contributions is donated to the guild and a bonus reward of player currency is distributed to players based on their weekly contributions across activities from weekly guild tasks, daily donations or aid given to ongoing research projects, to simply logging in each day.
The plan is to continue increasing the guild capacity of the guilds until such time as they can support the “main” characters of all playing within a single guild or two. We will maintain the other guilds and support their growth for any overflow in interest as well as alt characters that are important to any other character’s progression as many elements are the game are shared across an account’s roster of characters on that server.
Guild event planning is underway and will include meetups for daily and weekly activities, other ongoing systems’ progression such as Adventure Tome completions, Mokoko Seed Hunt nights, and more. Stay tuned in to the AIE public discord server’s Lost Ark game category for more details.

FFXIV
XIV recently had it's latest live letter! While the last expansion was named "ENDwalker", it's far from the end of FFXIV, and the adventure continues! They announced the overall plans for the 6.0 patch cycle, and some highlights include:
1. Graphics update! Higher resolution textures, improved lighting, shadows and more. Will be updated over the entire patch up to 7.0
2. The adventures of Hildibrand returns
3. New Deep Dungeon
4. Scaling difficulty 4-man dungeons, code named "Criterion" Dungeons
5. Further adjustments to the ARR main story quest, including the ability to journey into ARR story dungeons with NPC avatars
And more! The free trial also returns February 22nd, so if you're curious about FFXIV, hit us up in discord and join us on the Goblin server in the Crystal Data Center.
Weekly guild activities continue with mount farming on Fridays and map night on Saturdays.
The Free Company Workshop is open for business! The current log of the airships, submarines, and FC construction projects are logged in discord in the #workshop-log channel.
If there is something that you would like for us to create or farm up for you in the workshop, you can message an officer in discord to get the request in. Due to the queue of players requesting things, as well as the RNG of the expeditions, it may take some time for your desired item to be delivered.
Some examples of things you could request are housing "skins", minions, rare crafting materials, and rare orchestration rolls.
STO
The fleet is currently collecting fleet marks for upgrading the Starbase to tier 5. Another huge milestone for the fleet.
The anniversary event still going, which rewards aT6 ship. This is a really nice variety, the Jarok Alliance Carrier. You only have until the 24th to get your needed 20 days of activities, however you can buy out any progress you need with Zen, the in game currency.
The Klingon Recruit event is also still ongoing. You can unlock special rewards and account wide rewards through various tasks you compete while playing. You only have to get the communicator device that tracks progress before March 9th. The tasks you can complete on your own schedule.
They have started the new year long event campaign, which will reward a lockbox ship, 2 T6 100% free ship coupons, or 1,500 lobi. The first event for this is The Borg Resurgence. They have remastered two space and one ground TFO fighting the Borg. You have until March 15th to get 14 days worth of progress....

Lost Ark
The AIE Gaming Community has entered into the newly launched NA/EU version of the MMO ARPG: LostArk. It is an MMO that includes popular ARPG elements with millions of players worldwide. Journey through the land of Arkesia, seeking out fragments of the lost ark to put a stop to the demonic invasion that threatens the world.
AIE is currently playing on the NA East Regulus server. Note that character restrictions may be temporarily appearing to help curtail new account creations on heavily populated worlds. They are being lifted periodically as populations stabilize to allow players to join friends on these servers. It may require a game restart for it to accurately reflect on the server list. Should you have one character on the server, these restrictions will not apply to your account. If you do see a queue in excess of two or three thousand, it moves quickly.

In WoW news, Raid Team Where is the Tank got their Ahead of the Curve achievement, defeating the Dark Lady Sylvanas on Heroic difficulty. Congrats to WITT!
Oh and then there was this: Blizzard announced the long awaited Patch 9.2 will launch on Tuesday, Feb 22 -- in just over a week! But wait, there's more: Future Patch 9.2.5 will bring cross faction dungeons, raids and PvP to WoW. Our Alliance Raid Team, Hell Froze Over has fulfilled their name’s prophecy. There was much rejoicing!
SWTOR
The Wednesday night ops team is looking for a full time dps. We run from 9-11 eastern on the Imp side. No prior ops experience is needed. We run story mode ops.
In Swtor it's all about that xpac. "Legacy of the Sith" is launching on Tuesday this week (the 15th). If you ask people what they are looking forward to the most, it's probably the next installment of the story. Many systems are getting an update too. If you've been thinking about dipping your toes back into Star Wars: The Old Republic, now is a pretty good time. It won't matter if you remember how to do things, or not. It's all new again. If you would be brand new, come check it out too. You'll be figuring it out with us.
Because this is normally how major updates go, we are predicting smooth sailing and no server restarts! YMMV....
Join us in discord on Tuesday the 15th at 9PM. We'll be hanging out in voice while we explore the newness. It will be a spoiler free zone, though!

Our Fleet Starbase's shipyard just got upgraded to Tier 5, which is huge! It gives us access to the best fleet ships available.
The anniversary event is also going on, which awards a free T6 ship, and a pretty good one at that, the Jarok Alliance Carrier. It only runs through the 24th and you need 20 days worth of activities, but you can buy out missing progress with Zen, the in-game currency.
The Klingon Recruit event is also happening, which lets you create a new Klingon character and complete special tasks to earn account wide rewards. And while all the rewards take awhile, you only need to get the progress tracking item by Mar 9 which is only a short way into the tutorial.

Update 32 scheduled to go live on Wednesday. This update brings a new account-based legendary reward system that starts at level 45. If you reach the end of the track there is a repeatable goal for more rewards. New region that will take players from Trollshaws to "Angle of Metheithel". The new region is free to VIPs and available in the lotro store. All accounts have the benefit of a premium wallet and the gold cap has been lifted for non-VIPs. Finally one of Smaug's last treasure hoards has been opened and the Dwarves of Erebor have moved to reclaim it! Join them in owning a piece of Middle-earth, in the Great Hall under the mountain (aka new premium housing area). Erebor housing includes features like swimmable gold goins, and life sized chess/checker boards.

Patch 9.2 will launch in just over a week and will bring a new zone: Zereth Mortis, New Raid: Sepulcher of the First Ones, new pets, mounts, transmog —- and players will be able to equip TWO legendary items (note: some restrictions apply.) Our Raid Teams are shaking off the dust and will be looking for new members. Anyone interested please check the Raid Team Recruitment and News channels in Discord! There is a staged set of unlocks to access content. Examples: level 10 to get into a non-starter map. Level 15 for Lion’s Arch. Level 60 for WvW.. Usually these unlock for the whole account at once.
Unranked SPvP is unlocked at level 2 and scales players to max levels with its own no cost gear system. Completely viable to play as a F2P. Ranked PvP unlocks at SPvP level 20.
No mounts EXCEPT there is mount rental for festival races and for the rollerbeetle races..

What you can do before the Expansion drops:
AIEx is on Dragonbrand, in the US zone.
If you can't get into DB that is OK, be sure to be in the US zone if you want to play with AIE.
The only thing that realm matters for is WvW, and that is scheduled to change in the next year where it goes to a guild based system.
Fresh Start
You will need both expansions (sold with End of Dragons right now) and I highly recommend grabbing the living world stuff.
A lot of story stuff happens in the living world.
Just doing them, and the stuff for Return to Dragons will get you a legendary amulet
At a minimum this is what I would do to prep for the expansion
Be 80 (either do it the long way, or boost)
The boosted gear is really good now
Start Heart of Thorns
Unlock gliding
Then start Path of Fire
You get the Raptor Mount right away
Unlock Canyon jumping for your Raptor
Go to the zone up north and get your Bunny, and the zone down south and get your skimmer. (you can get these after you unlock
Catch a HoT HP Train in LFG
Do the entire run, there will be one HP you can’t get in TD
Unlock your first Elite Spec
Then do a path of Fire HP train ( or do it solo, or with a friend, the Path of fire ones don't’ need a big group)
Unlock that second spec
Do the last episode of Season 4
Start Skyscale Grind (this is time gated)
Now you can do whatever you want. You will be able to glide, and you will have 3 mounts, plus the skyscale. I would play through the story at this point and work on unlocking my mount masteries.
If you want to unlock your 3rd elite spec right away, you will need about 250 HPs. If you boosted you will have to go back to central tyria to get these.
It’s worthwhile to go to each zone and unlock all the way points. You get a gold star next to your name if you explore all of CT.
Not a Fresh Start
Get your skyscale
Finish all of your return to zone Metas to finish the return to dragons meta and get your legendary amulet (this is the cheapest legendary in the game as it only costs time).
The community does a lot of cool stuff to keep you busy
Infusion trains - Start at pinata in Crystal Oasis at reset and hit all the bosses that drop infusions (this is guild wars 2 endgame here, fashion wars)
HP trains on your main and your alt
The community runs a Raid Training discord where they train people the raid encounters
Raid Academy - ask either myself or Hushwolf for the discord invite (they might not all comply with our community standards, and they aren’t AIE, but it's an excellent resource to start raiding).
Find a legendary item you like and start working on it.
Dailies
Do 3 of things and get 2 gold and some spirit shards
What is AIE doing?

Noob Raid had it's 2nd run of 2022 and Dankinia's Floor Tanking score increased to 3 deaths. Next week the plan is to skip to the final bosses of Sanctum. We're coming for you Kel'Thuzad and Sylvanas!

In Game News, the Public Test Server is up for the time being with no announcement about taking it down. That's good news if you wanted to work toward the Test Server achievements which earn you rewards in game, like a holographic log mount. As far as we know, 7.0 The Legacy of the Sith is still scheduled for release on 2/15/22.
For the guild, December was a cozy month of snowballs and Operations and wookiee hugging. As we roll into the second half of January 2022, though, it's going to heat up. It's Total Galactic War! That means that while guildies play SWTOR, the guild accumulates points that could win us a planet. This will be a serious effort and the competition for a planet is steep. If you want to help out there are several things you can do in just a few minutes every day that would add substantially to our point total. Drop by the SWTOR discord channel for specifics. If your character is not in the guild yet, hop in on Sunday or Monday to get in before reset for your points to count. If you character is brand new, not to worry. You will get SUBSTANTIAL points for those early levels. It really is for everyone.

Map night has returned! We're back and hitting up the new treasure dungeon, the Excitatron 6000, every Saturday at 9:30 pm eastern. Check the pins in the ffxiv channel for more info.
Our lovely community member Zoot is also running mount farms on Friday at 8pm eastern. Level requirement depends on what is being run, but it'll generally adapt to whoever wants to come. Don't be intimidated if you've never done EX trials before, unsynced they're not too hard and we'll be happy to have you and help you through it!

MFN's have resumed after the holiday break. We've spend the first two of the year vanquishing world bosses in various zones.
We also jumped to our death and helped a member get the Slaughter Fish achievement.
The Daedric War Celebration runs from January 20th - Feb 1st so our MFN's will be focused on doing the dailies for the event tickets and killing bosses.
We plan to do more trials on nights we have 12 people online for MFN.
There will be a Global Reveal Event for ESO on January 27th at 12pm PST. They are going to give us a peek at the upcoming Chapter and DLCs that will be released this year. Tuning into the show on Twitch will earn you a new coral crab pet and a crown crate though Twitch drops as long as you have your accounts linked.

This is going to be a big year for the fed fleet. Why? Well, we are closing in on a lot of the Tier V unlocks (highest unlock) for the starbase.
Military: 15 projects to go
Engineering: 38 projects to go
Science: 41 projects to go
While yes, you can only do 1 project every 20 hours (1 day lets say) that means we should be working on the big unlock project for Military in 3 weeks or less. This will then free up resource requirements and hopefully make it more likely we are triggering daily, but even still means 2 months we should have engineering done and 3 months science should be done, if not way sooner.
LOTRO
After a break for the holidays (and Maellung needing to heal in RL) SNL returned this past Saturday. The first fight of the new raid is coming to Bullroarer this week. Treebeard opened up Mines of Moria a couple weeks ago. The ill omens event is being postponed until maybe later this year so they can focus on the rewards. And lastly session play is bugged at the moment and will be fixed in the patch this week.

GAME NEWS
We bought a house! A large house!
Big thanks to Reka for helping us in the move to the large plot.
Our new home is located in the Lavender Beds, 9th Ward, plot 33.
The new house is on a large plot, so the house is also large. Since it is a large, we get much more real estate to work with, both inside and out. The new house will feature 3 garden plots, all of the crafting stations, and more vendors in the house, such as materia affixers, which we did not have the NPC budget for in the old house.
The additional Garden Plots will help increase the rate that we can churn out the Thavnairian Onion. These items allow you to increase the level cap of your Chocobo Companion by 1. When you cap out, feed it to your bird, and you will be able to continue to level up your companion up to level 20.
As the house starts empty, it will take us some time to settle in and get a full decoration done. So, things are in flux right now in the house and things may move around until we settle in on a housing layout. However, when we do, we plan on having a big AIE home warming party. We are working out the details now. When we have some more defined plans, we will let everyone know via Discord.
Grade 3 Heat of Battle Buffs!
We are now cranking out Grade 3 Heat of Battle buffs. These buffs provide all member a flat 15% bonus to combat XP. Since this is a limited commodity and take 70 hours to make, we will run these on weekends. During the week, we will be running the Grade 2 Heat of Battle Buffs, providing a 10% bonus to Combat XP. If you are leveling up your first job, an alt job, or just playing around with a side project, the XP bonus can really help you out.
Executing the buffs, you don’t have to wait for an officer! Anyone with the member rank (about 30 days in the FC) and above can kick off buffs (as well as invite characters to the FC). If you see the buffs fall off, from Friday to Sunday, you are welcome to fire off the Heat of Battle 3 and Reduced Rates 2. Reduced Rates drops teleportation costs by 10%. During the week, Monday-Thursday, we run grade 2 of both of those buffs, Heat of Battle 2 and Reduced Rates 2.

The Endwalker Hype Train continues! The Square Enix dev team has released Live Letter 67, and a very emotional Naoki Yoshida came out to announce a 2-week delay for Endwalker. While delays are never fun, but this will ensure a more polished game that will be now released on December 3rd for pre-orders, December 7th for the general release.

12/21 - 6.01 - Pandæmonium, Normal mode. The first raid of Endwalker, and a great debate on how to pronounce ‘æ’.

The live letter also has tons of new announcements on how Endwalker will work. 67 slides worth!
A few quick hits:
5 new series for the role quests! Not required for MSQ this time around. But a bonus quest line if you complete all of them will be made available in Patch 6.1 or later. No level 90 job quests, however.
Crafting and gathering quests lines in Studium, one of the new major areas in Endwalker.
New Treasure Map dungeon, Excitatron 6000 in patch 6.05 (the Savage raid patch). We do lots of treasure maps on Saturdays, so please look forward to the new maps!
Tons of PvP updates, including some small scale casual and ranked PvP with some skill based matchmaking.
Lost of HQ items are being removed. HQ crafts are still in play, however.
Fishing is getting a brand new mini-game interface!
EXP scaling is being re-worked. Important note: due to this change, any progress made towards a level will be reset back to 0 when Endwalker hits due to the EXP scaling.
New Immerse Sound Gamepack will be available. Allows for 360 sound, but does have a one-time cost for the Immerse license. A 14-day demo is available. (Abo’s note: I’ve used this in other games and it is incredibly awesome.)
New housing zone will be available in 6.1. Some FC only wards, some personally only wards. Both will have classic and lottery systems for purchasing the lots.

A member of Where Is The Tank (WITT) organized a Mythic Tara-grew that included people from all of our AIE raid teams, and a few pugs. Inspiring teamwork there! They plan to continue Monday nights.
Behind the Curve (BtC) is 4/10 Heroic and making progress on Soulrender (aka Garrosh Nanny).
Kiddie Aggro (KA) and Better Late Than Never (BLTN) did Achievement runs for Glory of the Dominant Raider. It awards (Hand of Hrestimorak) a mount that looks like an armored glove and can play rock, paper, scissors.
Our Alliance side Raid Team Hell Froze Over (HFO) is 3/10 Heroic. Yes, we have an Alliance Guild on Earthen Ring and alts are welcome! No need to tell your main though.

There has been an outpouring of news from BW in the last couple of weeks as they ramp up for the new expansion. There is no release date yet, but they are still saying "Holidays 2021". At release we will have QoL changes, 5 extra levels, new methods of gearing, new story, a new flashpoint, updated systems, and more. We will also be getting a new Operation a few weeks after the expansion launches.
Like any game studio, BW is introducing some changes that no one asked for, but there are two things coming that people HAVE been asking for: Multi-tagging and the ability to transmog weapons. Multi-tagging will change the shape of how we do World Bosses and will be especially great for us during MFNs. Swtor has long has an extensive and pretty convenient system for changing your character's outfits, but weapons have always been left out of that picture. Now that we will be able to use quest rewards, special meaning looks, and all kinds of things to transmog our weapons independent of their value as gear.
So, if you always wanted to use Torchy as your blaster pistol and wanted to join in as everyone on a planet kills a World Boss, come join us in SWTOR. Now is the time to be getting those last few levels, cleaning out your inventory, acquiring a few XP boosts and generally just getting ready!...

New World
New World is quite a success. We had to open a second Company and move inactive to it, as we reached the cap earlier this week.
On Tuesday, we had our first MFN Trial, running around the map, fighting mid-level corrupted invasions and closing their portals.
On Thursday, we had our second MFN Trial, clearing a Pirate citadel, teaching who YARRs !
Voting was up about MFN evening selection. It was a close vote, but Thursday beat Wednesday.
Next MFN will be Thursday at 08:00 PM EST, for 2 to 3 hours, doing activities that allow players to join or leave at any time.
If anyone wants to run a Wednesday later MFN, anyone can schedule and organize.

Congrats to Kiddie Aggro for 10/10 Heroic Sanctum of Domination, our 2nd raid team with Ahead of the Curve Achievement.
The Filthy Casuals are going on break until 9.2 after completing 10/10 Normal Sanctum.
Behind the Curve is 4/10 Heroic Sanctum and farming Normal to gear up some new members.
Where Is The Tank /WiTT (alts) and DoA continue to farm Normal Sanctum, with several proceeding directly to Noob Raid. Prepare for trouble, make it double.
WiTT (mains) is 8/10 Heroic with only Fatescribe (aka Wheel of Misfortune) and Sylvanas left to go.

Upcoming Extended Maintenance for US Realms - Tuesday 10/26 2 am to 10 am PDT
Patch 9.1.5 has a release date? I mean, it has a release date! November 2nd.
“It has a lot of quality of life improvements and some cool new features that we wouldn’t usually expect in an x.5 patch, including easy Covenant swapping, new character customization, Legion Timewalking, the return of the Mage Tower, legacy loot for BFA raids, and a whole lot more.” (Thanks to Blizzard Watch for the summary - https://blizzardwatch.com/2021/10/21/patch-9-1-5-release-date/)
The Mage Tower will not release until December 7th when Legion Timewalking comes around. It will be available for two weeks (twooo weeeeks). You won’t be able to collect transmog that was available in Legion, but there are new Tier 20 Armor recolors and a mount to be obtained.

We are now less than one month away from Endwalker and the hype is real!
Remember, Endwalker starts for early access for pre-orders on November 19th. If you pre-order any version, you get an earring with a 30% bonus to all xp earned. Also, the stats on the earring scale with you, as you level, and change depending on what job you are on. This also includes crafting classes.
If you are not the pre-order type, Endwalker will start on November 23rd.
Even with all of the trailers, announcements, live letters, and media days, there still more that they have yet to announce, so on November 5th at 10pm EST, 7 PM PST and 4 rocks past the 5th sand dune in Arizona time, we have Live Letter LXVII (67). Here, all that is listed is “New Endwalker Information’ and “Miscellaneous Updates” on the agenda, so we do expect to hear new info on the expansion.
In the Free Company, we are working on creating Grade 3 XP buffs for everyone. Here’s how you can help.
First off, we need to create the aether wheel. This is created in the workshop, which is accessible in the FC house, main floor, back left corner. In there, there is the workshop and in the middle, we have our current project, which will be the Grade 3 Heat of Battle aether wheel.
You can donate the items to complete the craft. An officer will need to pull it out of the crafting station and start up a new one. From there, we need to place it in the aether wheel stand, where it needs to “cook” for 70 hours. When the time comes, we will pull out the charged aether wheel out and add it to our buff inventory.
Come Friday and Saturday, we will want to activate the following buffs.

This will allow everyone in the Free Company to get a 15% bonus to all combat XP generated, as opposed to the 10% we would get from Heat of Battle 2.
Also, remember that anyone can refresh the buffs. If you see the buffs are down, go into the FC panel and reactivate them. Just remember to use the grade 3 buffs on Friday and Saturday so that we can get an extra bonus for the weekends.
It’s still not too late to jump into your Final Fantasy XIV adventure! Come on down to the ffxiv channel in discord and we can get you started.

Bioware has published a cosplay kit for the very popular character, Lana Beniko. It includes high resolution images of her and of her unmistakable gear, as well as reference materials and color palettes. In case you have yet to meet Lana, here are a few words about her: "With her serene and considerate manner, one might mistake Lana Beniko for a Jedi. She is, however, a Sith Lord of great wisdom and strength who has impressed many of her peers in a considerably short period of time with her keen insights into the nature of the Force." This cosplay kit is intended to be the first of many. Malgus, anyone?
The Feast of Prosperity and Double XP are still going on. Come join us Tuesday night for MFN where we will likely be killing an event boss or two, making some currency, and piling on the XP.

Destiny 2
The Witch Queen expansion and start of Season 5 is still slated for a Feb 2022 release. It was announced recently that the Forsaken expansion and Season 5 content will be vaulted at that time. Make sure to complete your goals for this content soon.
New World
New World has launched as of a week ago, with much more success than anticipated, causing Amazon Studio to spawn tens of new servers a day to provide enough for all the players that wanted to join and were stuck in queues.
The initial rush is passed, queues have totally disappeared, and AIE is established on Pyrallis (North America, East) under the Syndicate banner. We currently have 87 members, with around 20 online each evening. We're already talking about MFN and adding sub-guilds.
So lots of fun to have in a gorgeous game (hard to believe it is their first MMO, especially with so little issues or bugs, on their own engine): deep crafting, PvPvE, gigantic map (for a max of 2250 online concurrently) and an incredible attention to details (even animals have real animation, sounds and live their lives).
I do hope Amazon Studio will license their engine and content, for many great games to spawn from that pearl.

During MFN this past week, BC took us to Dantooine to get some rather arcane achievements. Everyone there got the achievements, even though it involved some patient waiting while items respawned. During the down time, BC either was on his way to the next clicky, or he posed some really difficult trivia questions provided by Maellung, our resident Trivia Taskmaster. A few people got killed multiple times by a parrot. For science.
Double xp started this week and will be going for three weeks. The Feast of Prosperity is on too. This event only comes around once a year, so now is the time to build up some currency to buy the holiday items, like decos, pets, mounts, and cosmetic armor. The new expansion is coming by the end of the year, so this is the perfect time to level up those last few alts.

Cool things the guild has been doing:
• The last two weeks we have been focused on doing the daily world boss and delve quests in the Blackwood zone due to an in game event.
• A four person dungeon team has formed. AC/DC runs on Monday nights and is working their way through clearing all of the instanced dungeons on normal and veteran.
• Being lead off cliffs by Dankinia
Things planned or coming up for the guild:
• MFN's activities happen each week and involve either zone clears, daily dungeon runs, and/or public dungeon clears.
Game or press release news:
• During the current Bounties of Blackwood event players unlocked a reward bundle. Don't forget to claim the goodies from the in-game crown store.
• The players have completed 85% of the bonus challenge for the Bounties of Blackwood event. For every 25% complete between now and October 12 they will extend the Explorers celebrate event for two days. It's a bonus mini event that will encompass every zone in Tamriel so keep doing those world boss dailies.
• The Deadlands prologue quest is now live and the quest starter can be obtained for free from the in-game crown store. It leads directly into the upcoming Deadlands DLC storyline.
FFXIV
Map night continues every Saturday at 9:30 pm eastern. We're currently starting at different people's houses or apartments every week. Check the FFXIV channel pins for a link to the form to sign up.
Zoot is running a mount farm on Friday evening running extreme primals from previous expansions. Even if you don't have a ton of experience in the game, you're welcome to come! Only requirement is you be at level 50, 60 or 70.

Shadow of the Mad King: Oct 5 - Nov 9th
The Halloween Event is live!. Tons of things to do, including, a super fun (or frustrating) timed jumping puzzle, the single best cash and experience farm in the game, a game of simon says in a Halloween themed Lion's Arch with Mad King Thorn, Beetle races and more.
Halloween Bonus Bash: (this ends on Tuesday)
If you go to the starting zones the mist stranger is giving one special weapon per account. This weapon has a fancy skin, and it levels with you. (think heritage stuff from wow).
There is also a super nice buff (again this ends on Tuesday) 50% XP (from everything), 30% Magic Find, and 30% WVW and PVP reward Track Progress. (if you are working on a legendary, this is a great time to grind out a gift of battle, or 2, in World vs World).
Seasons of Dragons (Return to Living World)
On October 19th we will return to the Icebrood Saga. I am not sure how this will be split up, there are 7 chapters in IBS, and chapter 7 is split into 4 sub chapters. If you have been keeping up, when you finish the return to Icebrood Saga, you will earn a legendary amulet!
The next Beta week is October 26 for the final 3 Elite specializations. Thief, Ranger, and Engineer. They have already previewed a picture of a scepter wielding Thief. If they follow the same pattern they have been, we should see what the actual classes are during the first week of return to IBS.
Guild stuff: Mandatory fun Nights happen on Mondays at 8:30 Central (the only real time zone), Maellung hosts dungeon nights (best to check discord for these). If you need help with ANYTHING in game, reach out in our discord channel. Jehdai is more than happy to help people get up tough jumping puzzles, complete difficult story achievements, or even abuse his catmander tag to bring the zerg to kill that pesky legendary you need for your griffon.

Getting ready for the New World release on 09/28
As with all best laid plans, this may not survive first contact with the enemy. However, until such time as we need to pivot, AIE New World will be launching in US East on the Pyrallis server as Syndicate. You will need to join the Syndicate faction to join the company so make that decision carefully since faction changes are limited. We'll attempt to secure the Company name of Alea Iacta Est but have a few suffixes ready if that's not possible and will post here as soon as we lock it in. Welcome to AIE in New World.
The next AIE board game night will be October 7th @ 7:30PM Central. We have had some increased activity on our board game nights lately which is great. Come join in on the fun!

We have purchased the first two guild bank tabs, please feel free to drop stuff in the 2nd tab that other guildies might find useful, especially crafting materials.
The first tab, currently, will be for bags and other things in limited supply, much like it is in Retail WoW.
FFXIV
Things are looking up in Final Fantasy XIV as we wind down our Shadowbringers adventures and get ready for Endwalker on November 19th, launching Nov 19th for the head-start for pre-orders, and November 23rd for its normal launch.
Although we are at the tail end of the expansion, now is a great time to get started in FFXIV. There is a very generous trial that works fine on PCs, MACs, and Playstation 4s and 5s. While trials accounts can not join the Free Company (That’s FFXIv speak for a guild), we can provide a ton of assistance from the Discord server. If (or really, when) you purchase the game, there is an exchange of Friend Codes down in the discord server in the channel called ffxiv-friend-codes. If you do pick up a friend code, both parties will get rewards. Once a code is used, please “react” to the code with a checkmark to signify that the code has been consumed.
If you need an invite to the Free Company, just ask in our discord server in the ffxiv channel. An officer does not need to specifically be online, but anyone with a member rank or higher. A member rank is a character that has been in FFXIV for 30-ish days.
Do you like the FC buffs? Do you hate it when they expire? Well, do not despair, as any member can refresh the buffs! Just go into the FC actions in the FC panel and refresh them! Later on, we want to start to provide Grade 3 XP buffs over the weekends.
SWTOR
In guild news, AIE has captured another planet during the periodic Total Galactic War event. Anyone traveling to Makeb will be greeted with an ingame banner proclaiming that "Makeb is controlled by Alea Iacta Est Timor" and everyone in the guild has earned the title, "Conqueror of Makeb". For MFN this week, we gathered on Makeb to take a screenshot of all the new conquerors before heading to the pub side to do more normal shenanigans.
In more guild news, MEGA has moved to Saturday nights! Last night, Marcus led everyone around the galaxy to kill World Bosses which Tabbytha had scouted out ahead of time. If you ever wanted to acquire the Lucky title AND the Unlucky title, just come with Marcus and Tabbytha one fine MEGA night to Corellia to kill the World Boss, Lucky.
In game news, Bioware is conducting a screenshot contest for the first time ever. They are looking for landscape-style shots from 10 specific planets. If you have a golden shutter finger, or just have a favorite spot, jump in and take the shot. The rules are posted on swtor.com, but if you drop into our discord, we can toss you a link. Submissions must be by October 5th. The top 10 winning entries will be made into decorations that we can all put in our strongholds. The winners themselves will get special versions that have gilded frames.

Last Fridays' MFN was spent killing the world bosses in Craglorn. Fun was had and high bridges were jumped off of. A four person dungeon team has formed. AC/DC runs on Monday nights and is working their way through clearing all of the instanced dungeons on normal and veteran. We also are being lead off cliffs by Dankinia.
MFN's activities happen each week and involve either zone clears, daily dungeon runs, and/or public dungeon clears.

The New World open beta was this weekend and a bunch of AIE testers were in there checking out the final updates and stressing the servers. The game will launch on September 28th. Keep an eye on the #new-world channel in Discord for details on server and faction for launch, which we will finalize as soon as we get confirmation on launch server names. AIE will be hitting the ground running to get our guild name claimed. There will be a bunch of AIE joining and a ton of fun for the launch!
The Hearth and Home update is coming to Valheim on September 16. It's a good time to hop back in and update your hearth and home in the Viking after life! Along with the building changes, there will be updates to the way food and food stats work as well as some updates to weapons. You can find the AIE Valheim server information pinned in the Valheim channel on Discord.

Noob Raid plans to venture into Normal next Saturday if we have the composition for it. Watch guild chat around 10:45 pm server time for an announcement that invites are going out if you’d like to join the fun.

In SWTOR game news, BioWare introduced personal loot recently. This coincided with removing Master Loot. Now, during Operations, other instanced content, and some World Bosses, loot goes right into our bags, including mounts, pets, and decorations. It feels a lot more like other MMOs in that respect. Out in the world, it's been fun trying to predict how loot will behave. We think Bioware might not be exactly done tweaking the loot system. In fact, if we were to indulge in some irresponsible speculation, maybe they are making some system changes that will be needed for 7.0. Maybe!
The big news for the guild is that next week is Total Galactic War. Early in the week, we will pick a planet to go after by earning the highest number of Conquest points. It's always fun, and sometimes even nail bitingly close. Conquest is a system of points you earn by doing different activities in the game. If you'd like to check out swtor, next week would be a great time to do it. Just get your character into the guild before 7AM on Tuesday in order for the points you earn to count!

The fleet is welcoming many new temporal agents. If you find yourself going back to the future, just let us know and we can get you a fleet invite. You have until October 7th to create a temporal agent, which requires you to finish the first 6 mission story arc on a TOS captain to get your transponder. This basically tracks your progress and gives you some challenges to complete for rewards that will also unlock account wide rewards as well.
The fleet had taken a big step forward with the fleet holdings; both of the big holdings, colony and starbase, are tier IV. It took us 100,000 experience in each branch to unlock tier IV, but to move to tier V, we have to go to 250,000. I mention this as it will appear our progress is going slow, but in reality it is a big step and don't get discouraged. We will get there with the steady progress everyone has been putting into the projects. I appreciate all the hard work everyone has done to get us here and keep us moving forward.

Festival of the Four Winds is ongoing, 8 or 9 days left.
Seasons of the Dragon meta event is "Return to Long Live the Lich" in Kourna this week. Next week it is off to Jahai Bluffs and "Return to A Star to Guide Us".
DirectX 11 Beta is also on Sept 21st. Along with the new WVW system of Alliances.
Next 3 elite specializations beta test also on September 21st.
Should be Revenant, Warrior, and Elementalist if everyone’s speculation is correct. They will reveal what the specializations are this week.
LOTRO
This past week we got our first look at the new "Brawler" class as well as 1st look at the new LI system on the test server. We are also a couple weeks away from buying a Kinship house on the legendary server "Treebeard". A poll will be in the lotro discord for where do we want the kin house starting on Monday Swept 13th. Please vote and the winner will house AIE on Treebeard.

End of Shadowbringers recap.
Summer of 2019, June 28. Shadowbringers early access launch.
What an emotional and great base expansion.
Fall, Oct 29th 2019, Patch 5.1 hits, Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty
Continues the great story and emotions of the MSQ of Shadowbringers
Introduces the bulk of the FFXIV crew to the Nier universe, in which these raids are now canon in the Nier timeline.
That took us into the holidays and the new year 2020. February 18th, 2020, we have Echos of a Fallen Star.
The continuation of the MSQ and the next wing of Eden dropped. More great encounters, plot points, and coffee biscuits were added to our Final Fantasy Lives.
Then our lives were turned upside down.
The world may have paused, but our adventures and relationships in Eorzea never did. AIE still continued to flourish and the AIE Free Company still continued to move along. For many of us, this was our social interaction when in-person interactions were much more difficult or risky.
Square Enix was affected by the pandemic just as much as any other business. A traditional in-the-office company moved to a work from home configuration, and had to derive from their traditional 3-4 month patch cycle. We had to wait until August 11th for the devs to release 5.3, Reflections in Crystal. The conclusion of the main Shadowbringers story came to a epic conclusion, with further adventures into the Nier Raids.
This patch also brought us the newly changed free trial. This changed the terms of the trial to include all of the content from levels 1 to 60, including base game, the 1st expansion Heavensward, and all of its patch content. Not only did it give birth to the “Have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV?” meme, it was a huge boon for the game and for AIE in general, as it gave a great way for people to try the game with no financial commitment.
Patch 5.4 returned to the normal 3-month-ish patch cycle, coming to us on December 15th, 2020. This started to set the first few story beats setting up the Endwalker expansion along with the great conclusion of the Eden series.. April 20th brought us 5.5, Death Until Dawn. More MSQ for us to enjoy along with the epic conclusion of the Nier raid series.
