NOMADS

The New World open beta was this weekend and a bunch of AIE testers were in there checking out the final updates and stressing the servers. The game will launch on September 28th. Keep an eye on the #new-world channel in Discord for details on server and faction for launch, which we will finalize as soon as we get confirmation on launch server names. AIE will be hitting the ground running to get our guild name claimed. There will be a bunch of AIE joining and a ton of fun for the launch!

The Hearth and Home update is coming to Valheim on September 16. It's a good time to hop back in and update your hearth and home in the Viking after life! Along with the building changes, there will be updates to the way food and food stats work as well as some updates to weapons. You can find the AIE Valheim server information pinned in the Valheim channel on Discord.

WoW

Noob Raid plans to venture into Normal next Saturday if we have the composition for it. Watch guild chat around 10:45 pm server time for an announcement that invites are going out if you’d like to join the fun.

SWTOR

In SWTOR game news, BioWare introduced personal loot recently. This coincided with removing Master Loot. Now, during Operations, other instanced content, and some World Bosses, loot goes right into our bags, including mounts, pets, and decorations. It feels a lot more like other MMOs in that respect. Out in the world, it's been fun trying to predict how loot will behave. We think Bioware might not be exactly done tweaking the loot system. In fact, if we were to indulge in some irresponsible speculation, maybe they are making some system changes that will be needed for 7.0. Maybe!

The big news for the guild is that next week is Total Galactic War. Early in the week, we will pick a planet to go after by earning the highest number of Conquest points. It's always fun, and sometimes even nail bitingly close. Conquest is a system of points you earn by doing different activities in the game. If you'd like to check out swtor, next week would be a great time to do it. Just get your character into the guild before 7AM on Tuesday in order for the points you earn to count!

We spent last week's MFN splitting up in to groups to check out some dungeons

A four person dungeon team has formed. AC/DC runs on Monday nights and is working their way through clearing all of the instanced dungeons on normal and veteran

The fleet is welcoming many new temporal agents. If you find yourself going back to the future, just let us know and we can get you a fleet invite. You have until October 7th to create a temporal agent, which requires you to finish the first 6 mission story arc on a TOS captain to get your transponder. This basically tracks your progress and gives you some challenges to complete for rewards that will also unlock account wide rewards as well.

The fleet had taken a big step forward with the fleet holdings; both of the big holdings, colony and starbase, are tier IV. It took us 100,000 experience in each branch to unlock tier IV, but to move to tier V, we have to go to 250,000. I mention this as it will appear our progress is going slow, but in reality it is a big step and don't get discouraged. We will get there with the steady progress everyone has been putting into the projects. I appreciate all the hard work everyone has done to get us here and keep us moving forward.

GW2

Festival of the Four Winds is ongoing, 8 or 9 days left.

Seasons of the Dragon meta event is "Return to Long Live the Lich" in Kourna this week. Next week it is off to Jahai Bluffs and "Return to A Star to Guide Us".

DirectX 11 Beta is also on Sept 21st. Along with the new WVW system of Alliances.

Next 3 elite specializations beta test also on September 21st.

Should be Revenant, Warrior, and Elementalist if everyone’s speculation is correct. They will reveal what the specializations are this week.

LOTRO

This past week we got our first look at the new "Brawler" class as well as 1st look at the new LI system on the test server. We are also a couple weeks away from buying a Kinship house on the legendary server "Treebeard". A poll will be in the lotro discord for where do we want the kin house starting on Monday Swept 13th. Please vote and the winner will house AIE on Treebeard.

End of Shadowbringers recap.

Summer of 2019, June 28. Shadowbringers early access launch.

What an emotional and great base expansion.

Fall, Oct 29th 2019, Patch 5.1 hits, Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty

Continues the great story and emotions of the MSQ of Shadowbringers

Introduces the bulk of the FFXIV crew to the Nier universe, in which these raids are now canon in the Nier timeline.

That took us into the holidays and the new year 2020. February 18th, 2020, we have Echos of a Fallen Star.

The continuation of the MSQ and the next wing of Eden dropped. More great encounters, plot points, and coffee biscuits were added to our Final Fantasy Lives.

Then our lives were turned upside down.

The world may have paused, but our adventures and relationships in Eorzea never did. AIE still continued to flourish and the AIE Free Company still continued to move along. For many of us, this was our social interaction when in-person interactions were much more difficult or risky.

Square Enix was affected by the pandemic just as much as any other business. A traditional in-the-office company moved to a work from home configuration, and had to derive from their traditional 3-4 month patch cycle. We had to wait until August 11th for the devs to release 5.3, Reflections in Crystal. The conclusion of the main Shadowbringers story came to a epic conclusion, with further adventures into the Nier Raids.

This patch also brought us the newly changed free trial. This changed the terms of the trial to include all of the content from levels 1 to 60, including base game, the 1st expansion Heavensward, and all of its patch content. Not only did it give birth to the “Have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV?” meme, it was a huge boon for the game and for AIE in general, as it gave a great way for people to try the game with no financial commitment.

Patch 5.4 returned to the normal 3-month-ish patch cycle, coming to us on December 15th, 2020. This started to set the first few story beats setting up the Endwalker expansion along with the great conclusion of the Eden series.. April 20th brought us 5.5, Death Until Dawn. More MSQ for us to enjoy along with the epic conclusion of the Nier raid series.

As you all know, our approach to officer roles is based around where we need help in keeping the community running. With all the great stuff happening across our divisions and the continued outreach of AIE in content and streaming, we've asked @Tabbytha (she/her) to step in to expand on the support she already provides across many of our games and elsewhere. The AIE Council is a small group of officers tasked with working alongside the greater Officer Community to set baseline operating guidelines for the guild, help maintain the AIE guild culture, help develop guild leadership, and provide overall planning guidance in the rare instances where needed at a guild-wide level.

The current council is made up of some active members and some founding emeritus members including: Scott, Veronica, Xanar, Randy, Stigg, Lanctharus, Ashayo, Hoots, Tetsemi, Sema and Max. In order to grow our capabilities a bit as the guild evolves we’ve decided to expand and bring on a new council member to help out. Please join us in welcoming Dankina to the council!

New World

There is an open beta announced for September 9th through September 12th for people who have not yet had the opportunity to check out the game but are interested in seeing what the hype is about.

Game is currently scheduled to launch on September 28th and AIE is planning on a contingent of members playing.

Dual Universe

The game just celebrated its one year anniversary of being in Beta. And things have changed a lot in the past 12 months. New systems have been added into the game: schematics for building parts, mission systems to allow players to create work orders that others can fulfill and get paid, updated planet graphics, re-balancing of various ship parts, and most recently mineable asteroids spawning in space.

AIE has kept busy slowly building up infrastructure to support organization members in building whatever ships and structures they can imagine.

No Man Sky

No Man's Sky will be releasing an update soon called Frontiers. It's expected to be out as soon as next week but nothing is confirmed at the moment.

Destiny 2

Gustytail will be doing Guild runs of Trial of Style mini holiday. Guild runs this week, Friday at 6pm Eastern/3pm Pac for Alliance, Sat 6pm Eastern/3pm Pac for Horde.

WoW Classic

Serpentshrine Cavern (SSC) and The Eye (TK?) new raid tiers going live mid September.

Dungeon runs on Sunday and Wednesday nights from 9-11.

SWTOR

In Swtor, things are galloping along toward the new expansion, Legacy of the Sith. The public test server has been available several times with class changes to be experienced and tested. The new expansion will have a new Operation, new flashpoint, 5 new character levels, new story, and infrastructure and graphical improvements.

Recently, we had a pet acquisition night during MFN. BC led us around the galaxy to get various pets. Some required mysterious items, some had to be coaxed out of hiding with delicious bits of liver, and some were revealed by Czerka Corporation emails. If you ever dreamed of having a miniature tauntaun as a pet, we know where you can find one.

In other guild news, we are thinking of streamlining our Friday night schedule to give a little more time in between events. We might test out doing something on a Saturday night here in there as well. Stay tuned for more news. Even in a galaxy far, far, away, there are still only 7 days in a week apparently.

We spent last week in Craglorn and Wrothgar working on the Early Adventures Celebration event

Also, clearing zones of Skyshards and World Bosses, clearing Public dungeons, and of course, being lead off cliffs by Dankinia

Next week's MFN (Sept 3rd) will be spent in Craglorn, Wrothgar, and maybe even Imperial city for the Early Adventures celebration

The Early Adventures celebration runs through Tuesday September 7th at 10am EST. Event tickets can be obtained, double loot boxes for daily rewards which have a chance to obtain crafting mats, style pages, and motifs.

The Walking Flame DLC and update 31 is now available on PC and will be on consoles on September 8th. Walking Flame DLC has 2 new dungeons and Update 31 includes assorted bug fixes, some balance changes, and performance improvements.

FFXIV

The game is currently celebrating it's 8th anniversary with The Rising event, lasting through 9 Sep.

Every world server in the Crystal Data Center now has the preferred status "Road to 70" buff that grants +100% XP buff for all activities. Now is the time to make a new character and join the fun before the Endwalker expansion launches on 22 Nov.

The Free Company continues to grow (Alea Iacta Est on the Crystal Data Center, Goblin World server) with total membership of 340. The past few weeks have seen many new players joining in on the fun and participating in the public discord channel. Make sure to look at the pinned topics in any of AIE game division channels. In FFXIV's pinned topics you'll find links to the first issue of the "AIE Community Roundup" newsletter put together by Zoot, information how to receive invites to the FC, everyone's favorite: spreadsheets, and other resourceful links.

The membership has put together a BLU (Blue Mage) Person Group that has been regularly helping each other acquire spells for this special job.

The Fishing Club has once again taken to the Oceans through regular trips to acquire all those lovely hi-cordials, special minions and mounts. You can typically find someone to party with when the event runs every two hours,...

Fleet Action Report is back this week covering one of the special summer events for the Alea Iacta Est gaming community. Nikodas and Grebog talk about the summer of love and as part of it bring some of the community with us as we head into some TFOs, Task Force Operations, in Star Trek Online.

Summer of Love

This year’s Summer of Love event week began with a guild Town Hall on Sunday, July 25th, continued with a week of events across all our games, and ends with our most important and solemn event, Remembrance Day, Monday, August 2nd 2021. Each game division will have its own ceremony/gathering place and it will also be broadcast on the https://www.twitch.tv/aieguild channel. For those not familiar, this marks over 10 years of special summer events we’ve held with the guild centered around Remembrance Day, a day when we take a moment to gather in voice and in game to remember those we have lost. Spread across the rest of the week are a series of special fun game events in almost every game division. These include player run events, special edition Mandatory Fun nights, and maybe even some contests and prizes.

Here’s the rundown of how each game celebrated the week.

NOMADS

The Nomads a special board game night Thursday night. They played two games of Downforce, which is a popular racing game, and a game of Love Letter.

WoW

Saturday's Battle Pet Safari in WoW was lots of fun but with a small turnout, which is not too surprising given the current state of things. There were 5 players on Horde and 3 on Alliance and traveled Shadowlands collecting 11 different battle pets and 2 toys, including one that turns you into a red slime that runs around absorbing your friends. Best ever! There are rumors about doing more of these events, but in the meantime Gusty will keep giving pets away in Guild chat.

One of the stops for today's Running of the Allied Races will be saying "Hi" to a certain new NPC in Stormwind. (Field Marshal Stonebridge)

They had a great time during Running of the Allied Races! Thank you Gusty for being our fearless and prepared guide and Fez for being coordinator extraordinaire!

Gusty posted some pictures from Running of the Beef that finished a little while ago. She conducted a tour of Stormwind, then led us out into the wilds to meet a Cat Lady. Then we went to Darnassus, rode through Darkshore and Ashenvale, and ended in The Barrens at the Shrine of the Fallen Warrior.

SWTOR

For SoL in swtor this week, the SWTOR crew had a special edition of MFN led and created by Corley called the Amazing Race. Guildies traveled the galaxy following clues and finding officers hidden at various spots. They ended up on Hoth where everyone jumped off an ice bridge, thus answering the age-old question. Lastly, prizes were had by all.

On Wednesday night Albus and Maellung led a special Operations night for SUP (Sith with unlimited Power) in honor of Jana, who started that team and kept it going through thick and thin. We miss you, Jana. Just so you know, there might have been a snowball or two just for you.

ESO

For ESO's MFN, they grouped up and killed dragons as part of the event, did a quick stop at Sky's in game house to check out the decor he did last year for SoL and discussed meeting up for Remembrance Day. They will be using Kini’s primary residence in game as a gathering spot while the processions are going on in other games.

FFXIV

They had a fantastic Map Night last night, with folks who couldn't physically run maps yet, watching on Discord, and of course Remembrance Day coming up.

STO

The STO fleet did group FTOs (with instructions) last Monday during the Podcast. Tomorrow, Grebog is leading a flight from the fleet starbase to the Wolf 359 Memorial. Then, if there’s time, he will fly by the Romulus/Remus memorial, the Spock memorial, and the memorial plaque on ESD and Qo’nos.

GW2

For summer of love, the team ran Fractals with the guild during MFN.

Small group last night jumped in and played in-game music for a couple hours outside the Prancing Pony

Its the summer event and it will run unitl Aug 26th. Thats when the next Season starts. We hope we will get the “Witch Queen” reveal that day as well. Lots of fun happening over here in Destiny 2! Time to suit up Guardian.

New World Open Beta begins July 20th. Keep an eye out for discussion in the Nomad section of discord as the game opens up for all to experience.

Diablo 3 season 23 ends on July 18th and season 24 begins on July 24th

Noob Raid resumes on July 17th. I suspect as Wing 1 of LFR is launching this Tuesday, that there may be some shenanigan’s in the new LFR. If that’s the case, the minimum iLevel will be 195.

We had a short break from being lead off cliffs while our fearless leader was on vacation.

However, things that still occurred, clearing zones of Skyshards and Worldbosses, clearing Public dungeons, being lead off cliffs by not-Dankinia

MFN resumes on July 16th and activities happen each week and involve either zone clears, daily dungeon runs, and/or public dungeon clears. See above for the general idea.

FFXIV

FFXIV just had their most recent Live Letter from the Producer, where they showcased a bunch of Endwalker previews. One nugget is the Official Benchmark tool, to let you test out your PC for Endwalker as well as the character creator, so you can create the perfect catboi for your Endwalker needs. If you do download it and make some new characters, go ahead and post some pics to the #pics-or-it-didnt-happen channel. We'd love to see what you can come up with. No sub needed for the Benchmark.

If your sub has lapsed, there is a call back campaign going on. 14 free days from when you first log in during the campaign, which runs from July 9 to August 23. We'd love to see a lot of old faces drop on by and meet the new ones.

Another FFXIV reminder, that any member in the Free Company has the rights to invite new players to the FC. So, if you area a member and have a friend, family member, or just meet a cool person in game, you are welcome to toss them an invite!

A quick reminder that the often asked for Regalia Mount (the 4-seat car) will be acquirable again in September as a re-run of the Final Fantasy 15 event.

Finally, FFXIV has that super generous free trial with no time restrictions. While the trial does not let you join a FC, we on the Discord server are happy to answer questions or help out newcomers to the game. If you do end up liking the game and buying into it, the great folks in AIE will be happy to help you make the jump.

Federation Fleet has completed the K-13 holding. So, be sure to go there and pick up new cosmetics from the tailor there and superior traits from the biologist.

The Colony holding is moving right along and closing in on Tier IV unlocks. While the Fleet Starbase is also moving along nicely as well.

KDF Fleet: Is working towards Tier 2 of the Dlithium Mine holding for those sweet discounts.

Fleet Action Report will be celebrating its 53rd episode and 1 year anniversary with blowing up Grebog over and over again in a PVP fun match. Come watch us kill Grebog again and again 9 PM Eastern on Monday.

GW2

Dungeons and more night is this Friday from 9-11 eastern.

Legendary Armory comes July 13th along with the twisted marionette from living world season 1.

The legendary Armory is a place where you can share your legendary items with all of your characters. Don't have any legendaries? If you keep doing the bonus achievements associated with the living world return, then you will be awarded with a precursor for an End of Dragons (next xpac) legendary weapon and if you complete all of the bonus achievements you will get a legendary amulet.

The Twisted Marionette is from Living world season 1, which only ran once and has never been been revisited until now. (all of season 1 content was not instanced.) This event runs from the 13th to the 20th, and is accessed through an NPC in the eye of the north.

Finally, we are at Season 3, Episode 2 in the return to the living world event. Episode 3 and its bonus achievements unlock on Tuesday. As a reminder, each week the episode is available to be unlocked for free, (check your in game mail for a message from ArenaNet). If you have been keeping up with the Bonus achievements when season 3 finishes up, we will get the item that will let us unlock the end of dragons precursor weapon.

The reward for finishing season 2, 3, and 4 will be the 32 slot bag. and as stated before after finishing everything plus Icebrood Saga will be the legendary amulet.

In ultra bonus news: End of Dragons has been officially delayed until 2022. In the meantime we will be getting a world vs world makeover in the form of alliances. (more on this later). End of Dragons will also bring a directx 11 client. Which should hopefully help with many of the performance issues the game suffers from on dx9.

The AIE board gaming group is meeting the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. So the next gaming session will be this Thursday, July 1st. They currently plan to play Tzolk'in, a Mayan-themed worker placement game with a unique gear mechanism which dynamically determines what workers can do.

Noob Raid News - There will be no Noob Raid on July 3rd and July 10th.

Chains of Domination, Patch 9.1 will be coming out June 29th. Too many changes/updates to list, but a couple of things to highlight. There will be a new land area to explore, flying available in the 2nd or 3rd week of the patch just for doing your covenant story line, a new raid, a new megadungeon, and a revamped Torghast as well as you’ll be able to ride your mounts in the Maw.

Tets and Mew, I know the two of you are a bit burned out with WOW right now. Is there anything that is tweaking your interests in this new patch?

It was TOTAL GALACTIC WAR. The guild won another planet. All the guild events last week were co-opted for this effort and all guildies in their individual and group play contributed to points to help us win. This opportunity only comes around a few times a year. Winning a planet means that for a period of time, everyone who arrives on that planet will see the words, "CZ-198 Controlled by Alea Iacta Est Timor".

In game news, we are shocked, shocked to see gambling going on in here. The Nar Shaddaa Night Life event is just around the corner. Come to the casino with a few credits in your pocket and unfounded hope in your heart. It only takes a little luck to win the top prizes. Or maybe a lot of luck. Or infinite luck. You have from June 29 to August 10th. Plenty of time to procrastinate....

Also, Double XP is coming back starting on June 29 and going until July 13th.

FFXIV

The AIE Membership in FFXIV has shown a steady increase in numbers and a very high member retention rate in the past few weeks, leading up to even before the Fan Fest. Many thanks to all of the FFXIV old timers and new folks coming on board to enjoy the adventures in Eozrea with AIE. We are successful because of you folks. So, big shout out to all of you.

Patch 5.55 is still the current content patch. This includes the last step of the resistance weapon quest line, which is the best in slot for every job with no need to jump into savage raiding.

Endwalker, the next expansion to FFXIV will be coming out on November 23 (or the 19th for the pre-orders), but there's a bunch of in-game events happening until then.

Sometime in June (that's the month we are currently in), we will get the Make It Rain event, which is a Gold Saucer event. Rack up those MGPs to get all of those awesome cosmetics, mounts, minions, and hairstyles!

Sometime in the June/July time frame, we will get a balance patch 5.56, and then another balance patch 5.57 in July/August time frame. This will prep the game up for Endwalker release. We will get more info on this soon!

The Moonfaire and the Rising will be coming in August. This event is normally a celebration of the players and the rebirth of the game many years ago. This event usually falls at or very close to AIE's own Remembrance Week, so look forward to future announcements on that.

FF14 AIE Content Progression

Join us down in the #ffxiv channel for more details on the game. Remember, if you are on the fence on this game, the entirety of the base game and the first expansion Heavensward (level 60) is available at no cost. You can check this out on PC, Mac, Steam (for PC), Playstation 4, and the recently released native Playstation 5 version. Regardless of your platform, all players share the same servers, and there's no limitations on what content or control scheme a platform can use. We love welcoming new players to AIE in Eorzea and we can't wait to welcome you as well.

Are you prepared?! THREE DAYS until Burning Crusade Classic launches on June 1st!

We were previously on Pagle for WoW Classic but have since changed servers to Mankrik for Burning Crusade Classic!

Once you have created a new character and/or transferred one to Mankrik there are two ways you can be invited to :

* Type /join aielfo in game to request one if there is an Officer or Greeter online to assist you in game at that time.

* Go to the AIE Discord and ask in either the WoW Classic channel or LFO channel for an invite for your character name and someone will help find time to meet you in game for an invite.

THE DARK PORTAL AWAITS US, AIE GUILD!

The AIEMounts interest free loan program to obtain your level 30 mount is continuing in The Burning Crusade. SWTOR

This past Friday Marcus, Looci, Tabbytha, and Albus conducted the MEGA event "Where in the Galaxy is Sema San Diego". Everyone gathered on Hoth, where the pirate Max the Graybeard spun piratical tall tales about where Sema might be. Players worked tirelessly ALL NIGHT to find the items needed to provide clues and Sema was finally found. The winner of the night was Velicc and everyone went to the guild ship where treasures from the guild bank were had by all.

In game news, the new Flashpoint is called Secrets of the Enclave and continues the story of Darth Malgus. He has broken his chains and wants nothing to do with the Empire OR the Republic. We chase his trail into the ancient Jedi Enclave, but only find leftover resonances of him. So far he has escaped us, but he apparently has gotten his hands on two very powerful relics. We don't know what he is up to, but it can't be good.

Guild activities continue as we get ready for Part two of the most recent patch. Teams are running Bozja, for their artifact weapons. Looking for treasure in all the right (and wrong) places on Map Nights. And trying to figure out if that pixel, yes that pixel, is really a safe place to stand on during an EXTREME raid on Eden’s Promise!

GW2

First two episodes of Living world season 2 are Free for a few days longer, log in, get them. If you play through them and do the new bonus meta achievement you will get fancy rewards. After completing 4 of the new living world bonus meta's you will get your choice of ascended weapon. after 10, you'll get a thing that you can turn in for en "end of dragons" (next xpac) legendary weapon precursor. Then after 16 you will get a massive 32 slot inventory bag, and when you finish all 24, the final reward is a legendary amulet and a title.

So far for the first 2 episodes, you just had to play through both of them, (no special challenges needed), Then do the following in Drytop: gather 150 things (50 each of wood, ore, and plants), do 10 events, open 20 hidden locked chests.

Jehdai assumes that all 24 will take you to the end of Icebrood Saga, so you will be able to pick up any episodes you missed, without having to buy them on the gem store.

The next two episodes should unlock on Tuesday after reset. (which means you only have about 2 days to log in and claim Episodes 1 and 2 for free).

Development continues on Update 30: Blood of Azog, and the new Yore of Azanulbizar 'session/instance'.

Blood of Azog introduces a new story set after the events of the War of Three Peaks, introducing new characters and allowing the player to experience historical moments in Middle-earth’s history as Prince Durin and the Gabil'akkâ make ready to reclaim Mount Gundabad. Players can begin this story by talking to Glóin inside Annâk-khurfu in Elderslade, and it serves as a prologue for adventures to come in Gundabad.

Among the Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain, studious scholars have kept detailed accounts of the history of Durin’s Folk. Within these lengthy volumes, there is the tale of the Sixth War of the Dwarves and Orcs, which ended with the Battle of Azanulbizar. Player will experience the momentous events of the battle as their own characters, but through the eyes of Hermáth Stormhammer, a hero of Durin’s Folk, as recounted in his written works.

Guild is in the process of moving to Mankrik (but character moving is paused until pre-patch) then to TBC on Tuesday (that's when you decide, for each character, if it goes to TBC or stays in Classic Forever) ; no presence of AIE in Classic Forever is expected

The Burning Crusade pre-patch is hitting Live on Tuesday, with new race and all classes on both sides (for Horde, Blood Elf and Paladin) ; levelling is 30% faster (on average)

TBC will be live in two weeks on June 1st, and we'll be able to go through the Dark Portal

SWTOR

MEGA this month will be Friday the 21st. Join Marcus, Looci, and Tabbytha as they lead us in a hunt for clues to solve the mystery of "Where in the Galaxy is Sema San Diego".

Double XP, Renown, and Valor is still ongoing in SWTOR until the 18th. XP is always pretty fast in SWTOR, but during this period it goes right to ludicrous speed!

Also, login and check out the new battle pass system called Galactic Seasons. The first season goes for 5 months and awards a new companion, enough currency to buy a new Fleet Stronghold, and many other rewards. It's a little overwhelming at first glance, so don't hesitate to join discord and ask questions.

FFXIV

The Final Fantasy Digital Fanfest has come to a close, but exciting stuff was revealed for the next expansion, Endwalker!

1. The new Melee DPS class is "Reaper", a 2 handed scythe wielder who appears to employ magic from the Void in their attacks, along with summoning what is FFXIV's version of a demon to both attack and to fuse with during certain phases of the rotation. It will share gear with Dragoon, require a level 70 to access and start at level 70.

2. As was speculated from the first trailer, we will finally get to visit Old Sharlayan in Endwalker. Any veterans from 1.0 will recognize the name of this polis to the far north west of Eorzea, from which many of our allies originate. But will the Sharlayans take to the field with us as the Final Days approach, or will they continue to stay holed up in the walls of their grand city?

3. The male Viera have finally shown their face! As of right now Viera are a female exclusive race, but in Endwalker all aspiring bunnies will get to pick from both genders. Hrothgar will stay exclusively male at Endwalker's release but the plan is to release female hrothgar as soon as they are ready.

4. Endwalker will release on November 23rd 2021, with early access beginning November 19th. This stretches the definition of "Fall 2021" a bit, as admitted by the dev team. But new content will be released in Patch 5.55 to keep us busy between now and then.

1. Patch 5.55 will be released on May 25th, 2021

2. This will include the final story chapter of the 5.X series, leading into Endwalker.

3. The "Save the Queen" storyline, where we liberate Bozja from Garlemald, continues with the release of a new battlefield, Zadnor, and a new 48 main raid called "[]". This will include the final stages of the Shadowbringer's Relic Weapon!

4. The Final Fantasy 15 collaboration will return in September! Get the chance to hangout with Noctis and much more importantly, steal his car!

The Explorer's Celebration mini event is now live until May 20th and rewards double exp from every source which will stack with xp boosts such as scrolls. It also gives double gold from kills, quests, and other sources and increased yield from harvest nodes (except fishing). There are no event tickets rewarded as part of this event.

WoW met the goals to unlock Bananas and Daisy. You have to get them for free from the shop via the Battlenet launcher. They do not automatically appear in your collections in-game. To wear Daisy as a backpack, you have to target your Daisy pet (after summoning) and type "/beckon" for it to work. Once Daisy is riding on your back, you can summon another battle pet to tag along with your adventures.

Patch 9.1 PTR continues and there were several interviews with Ion H this week going over patch 9.1 details.

WoW Classic

The TBC pre patch coming soon, and Burning Crusade 4-6 weeks later.

Many new players are coming to participate in the best 2 WoW expansions of all time (TBC and Wrath)... so come join us !

SWTOR

A content patch dropped this past week bringing a new flashpoint, a new story beat, and the beginning of a new pvp season. But above all that, it brought a new system called Galactic Seasons. Daily and weekly objectives award points, currency and rewards. You can spend the currency along the way or save it up for the big prize of a new stronghold on the fleet. This season is called "The Stranger from Kubindi" and starts out with a new companion named Altuur zok Adon. It is similar to a battlepass type system in other games, so you can buy progress as well.

But wait, there's more! Double XP returns starting May 4th and continuing until May 18th. And, as is the tradition, there will be a new astromech in the mail for everyone. No matter where we go for MFN this Tuesday night, XP is sure to rain down.

And last but not least, join us this Friday for Master Mode Flashpoints with Maellung. This will be on the imperial side and will target those flashpoints that are required for the Aratech Ice Mission.

FFXIV

Our Thursday event heading into the fields of Bozja is on break until the next area is released in patch 5.55.

The digital fanfest begins on Friday May 14th and will be streamed for free and will reveal more about the next expansion, Endwalker, which releases sometime this year. This will include the reveal for the new melee class.

ESO

If you play ESO on the new Xbox or Playstation, on June 8th the "Console Enhanced" modes will be released. The update provided improvements to reflections, textures, draw distance and more while giving options to select between Performance and Fidelity modes.

STO is running the following events:

1st: Tholian Trouble: A new event from May 4th to may 25th. This event hosts two updated TFOs, and rewards a new universal console that you can equip on any ship.

2nd: Bonus Dilithium Event: Earn bonus dilithium until May 4th; This is an in-game currency that can be used to purchase in-game items or traded for Zen which is STOs real-life currency.

3rd: Galaxy goes to Red Alert until May 4th; This is a 2 week long event. If you complete 10 days of participation you'll earn a Specialization Point, an Ultimate Tech Upgrade, and an Experimental Ship Upgrade.

4th: Command the Jovian Heavy Raider; A new top-tier ship added to the Infinity Lockbox.

5th: Command the The Kwejian Pilot Escort; A new top-tier ship added to the Angel's Wake Lockbox.

6th: Delta Recruitment Event until May 13th on PC and from May 13th to June 10th on Consoles; This event allows newly created characters to become Delta Recruits, a special type of character that rewards various in-game items for completing in-game challenges, such as leveling or joining a fleet. Some of these rewards can be collected on any characters attached to the account.

7th: The Hosts of Fleet Action Report are inviting anyone and everyone to join them in-game on Monday nights after their show ends. They are planning on running TFOs that are attached to any current events. If there are no current events, they will run whichever TFOs Captain's are needing.

All of this and more will be discussed on the Fleet Action Report livestream 9pm Eastern Monday night.

The monthly dungeon and more has a set schedule, 2nd Friday of the month, so the next dungeon and more night is May 14th.

•The Friday night Baldur's gate group has survived their encounter with a massive horde of Gibberlings, or have they?

•The Saturday night Phandelin group have made their way through their first small "dungeon" and now have been tasked by the Hobgoblin Klarg to overthrow the king of the Cragmaw goblins so that he can take over the clan promising to stop the ambushes along the road.

•The Sunday night Ravenloft group is still within the Durst Manor trying to solve its mysteries such as, where did those kids go? Will they survive the manor or will they fall prey to what lurks within? We'll find out next Sunday at 9pm Eastern.

• If more people are interested in playing or running D&D or other TTRPGs there is a sign-up sheet pinned in the Dungeons and Dragons channel under nomads.

Diablo 3

AIE is still playing along in D3. Stop in #nomads and ask for invites to the Clan and Community.

Division 2

WoW

Noob Raid, after skipping Skriekwing this whole time, has now killed her back to back weekends. Go team!!

There are a lot of changes with raid teams, some new ones, old ones recruiting, and some switching into different levels of raid. Be sure to check out the two raid channels in Discord if you are interested in that part of the game.

Even after the first major guild purge for the Alliance side, we are at 739 characters in the guild! And the raid team has downed 2 bosses on Heroic!! Congrats Blue Side!!!! #QuestforCoguild

Tuesday starts World Quest week, so make sure you grab your quest in Oribos before you do anything on Tuesday!!

SWTOR

Since the last AIE podcast, AIE in swtor had its first Hard Mode Operations Training night and it was a big hit. Marcus took the team into Terror From Beyond and it sounded like everyone had a blast. Everyone, except the Writhing Horror, that is. Sadly, she died and was stripped of her loot. If you are interested in HM Ops training, watch the #hm-ops-training channel in discord for sign ups and updates.

ESO

Dungeon runs to maximize the cake experience buff

Clearing zones of Skyshards and Worldbosses

There is normally at least one death caused by gravity due to Dankinia leading people off cliffs

MFN's activities happen each week and involve either zone clears, daily dungeon runs, and/or public dungeon clears.

In mid-June when update 30 is released, a new system called Endeavors will launch.

Endeavors will bring new daily and weekly tasks that grant you rewards such as gold and experience along with a new currency called Seals of Endeavor

Endeavors will be available each time you log in and require tasks such as pickpocketing items, completing quests, and crafting items, among other activities. So basically things you would normally due while playing will give you additional rewards.

Seals of Endeavor can be used to purchase currently available Crown Crate items and will be account based. So no need to hope you get lucky when you open a crate, just save up those seals and buy the item you want.

STO

STO started a Delta Recruitment event. This rewards characters with a variety of in-game items for completing certain challenges, such as leveling up or crafting. Some rewards are account unlocks. A player will need to create a new character if they don’t already have a Delta recruit. We will be detailing Delta Recruits on Fleet Action Report tomorrow evening.

GW2

The monthly dungeon and more has a set schedule, 2nd Friday of the month, so the next dungeon and more night is May 14th.

LOTRO

SNL is still going on Saturday night from 8:30-10:30 eastern, you can even come hangout in voice with us too

14th Anniversary event runs April 21- May 11

Monday will be a patch that includes the further adventures of Bilbo

On April 24th we will be running the Anniversary stuff for SNL

There is some stuff in the planning stages please stay tuned to the lotro channel for upcoming AIE events

New Housing furnishing items from the Furnishing Design contest added

New hairstyles! Want to look like an attractive android that can slay thousands of enemies without breaking a sweat (because Androids). Now you can.

Targeting reticles is now more useful for showing the target's direction. Useful for jobs that need to attack the sides or rear, or when the bad guy is going to do something bad right in the front.

The Unreal Trial has rotated to Levithan. Good luck!

New Bozjan front stats, Notoriety. After a critical engagement (like a FATE that’s closed off), someone may be selected for a 1-on-1 duel with a major NPC. Having a higher Notoriety will increase your chances of being selected.

The Ishgard Restoration has finished, but not to the end of the events. Every 2 hours, a special “Fête” will spawn to celebrate the restoration of Ishgard.

Achievement log has their rewards listed and can be accepted right in the achievement window.

More dungeons added to explorer mode. Performance actions can be used in explorer mode.

Duty Finder roulette changes! If you queue up as a full group (4 for dungeons, 8 for trials), there is a new setting that the only dungeons you will get will be within 8 levels of the lowest member in the group. This setting is in the Duty Finder settings, Limited Leveling Roulette.

You can do a search for emotes now! Huzzah!

Open Beta for the PS5 edition starts! Free for all registered used of the PS4 version. 60fps for 1080, usually 60fps for 1440, and 30fps for 4k.

High resolution UI for windows and mac players. (Makes a huge difference!)

FC News

Maps nights are still map-tastic! Saturday at 9:30pm EST. Maps are accepted but not required. We run level 80 maps, so please be a level 80 character. You should have all of the Shadowbringers zones unlocked at this time, but if not, having them unlocked is also a requirement. Great riches, fun, and merriment await!

In Valheim, we're planning a Wednesday Night Boss Fight on Wednesday, April 7 at 9:30PM EDT (8:30 Max Time). We'll spend an hour trying to take down as many of the bosses in Valheim as we can.

Per the post in the WOW discord channel, there is an upcoming guild purge in WoW Alliance. Don’t forget to log into your toons to avoid being swept up in the spring cleaning. And, while you are logging into your account, make sure you acquire the charity pet "Bananas"! It’s not automatic, but all you have to go to your battlenet launcher to get Bananas!

Just a reminder, Burning Crusade Classic is in beta, so if you’re interested and have access, take a look. We are still in discussions about what the AIE Guild and the greater alliance is going to do.

SWTOR

In AIE Swtor, our Friday night schedule has solidified into a repeatable order of events. We have a new addition to the lineup, which is Hard Mode Ops Training. It's one night a month where Marcus will be teaching how to do mechanics in harder mode fights. If you ever wanted to learn how to take that step up from Story Mode Operations, this is for you. The first night will be April 9th at 9PM Eastern.

The repeating order of Friday night events is now:

2nd-HM Ops

3rd-Achievements

4th-MEGA

5th (if there is one) - Wildcard/Break

In Swtor news, the Public Test Server is up showing the new Flashpoint (Secrets of the Enclave) and the beginnings of an new reward system called Galactic Seasons.

Join us on Tuesday nights for MFN! No experience required. No gear required. Sometimes there is a level requirements. Check out BC's post in Discord, usually on Tuesday afternoon, to see what we are doing that week.

FFXIV

Patch 5.5 Releases April 13th. This contains part 1 of the patch story, the new Diamond Weapon Trial, and the final chapter of the Nier Automata crossover, where we are heading into "The Tower at Paradigm's Breach". This patch will also close out the story of the Ishgardian Restoration.

Part 2 will come towards the end of May, and will have the the rest of the patch's storyline as well as updates to Save the Queen storyline, where we will head into Zadnor to liberate Bozja from the 4th Legion and finish this expansion's relic weapons.

The Digital Fanfest will take place on May 14th and 15th. All events will be streamed for free. Various FF4 pets will be available for purchase along with the game's first 8 player mount, the Lunar Whale, on the same day the fanfest begins.

ESO

Cool things the guild has been doing:

• First there was pie for the Jester's event and now the cake is no longer a lie during ESO's 7 year Anniversary Jubilee event.

• Recent MFNs have been focused on maximizing the benefits of the experience boosts in effect during the in-game events by grouping up to run dungeons and slay dragons.

• There is normally at least one death caused by gravity due to Dankinia leading people off cliffs

Things planned or coming up for the guild:

• MFN's will continue to be focused around the daily dungeons and dragon slaying to take advantage of the in-game event currently in progress.

Game or press release news:

• The Anniversary Jubilee event to celebrate ESO's 7th anniversary started on April 1st and runs until April 13th at 10am EDT. After you help the chef bake a cake you get 3 event tickets once per day (per account) from using and eating the cake as well and 100% increase experience buff that can be refreshed every 2 hours.

• All of the games daily quests reward you with a Jubilee Gift box that can contain crafting mats, motif pages, furniture recipes, outfit style pages.

• The Blackwood Prologue questline is live for all platforms and anyone with access to the base game. Completing the quest and you will get a Daedric Unwarding Amulet memento as a keepsake

STO

STO is running their First Contact Day Event. It includes two TFOs; Synth Wave and First Contact Reenactment, and a patrol; One Night in Bozeman.

The next Dungeon and more night is April 9th from 9-11 eastern

LOTRO

For SNL we will be doing skirmishes and various group content to take advantage of VIP weekend from 4/8 - 4/12. On 4/17 we will be returning to the starter areas to do some deed runs as a group so that people can get some lotro points and virtue XP.
