Today I got to take a trip up to Flagstaff AZ for another medical appointment. We're in the home stretch, one more appointment to go!

Are today's tablet devices up to the challenge of being your only computer while on the road? Maybe..... It depends on your needs.

In my case, I need more screen real estate. I also use a lot of peripherals. USB microphones, SD card readers, CF card readers, external hard drives, a keyboard, and a mouse. My job is very computing intensive. In the case of other travelers, my setup might be over kill. And a tablet may be all you need. You need to decide what it is you really need, and what you can live without. And in the case of many RV'ers and full time travelers, a tablet may cover everything you need while on the road!

My sister, her husband, and my 3 nephews arrived in Prescott on Saturday. Go figure, bad weather for their whole weekend here while tent camping. That's just part of travel though.

Today's episode I talk about the long weekend, my camping evolution, and my family's visit. This is a short show today as I'm spending a little more time with the family before they head off today toward home. They've tent camped across the US over the past few weeks, and it's now time to make their journey home.

Glad to say I actually purchased Apple Care with my 2017 iMac. I don't usually do that. Maybe I doomed myself. Since getting my 2017 iMac I have experienced something I've never experienced with any other Apple product. Extreme disappointment and issues.

Today I'm brining my computer "into the shop" again. Yes, this isn't the first issue, but it's the final one for me. Electric sizzling sounds from the speakers randomly, blue tooth disconnecting, Wi-Fi disconnects, programs freezing randomly, and more issues as well. Seriously, I recorded this podcast on my Macbook Pro (2014) this morning. Glad that little system still runs (albeit slowly).

Skylum has released their latest version of Aurora HDR software. So this morning I downloaded the latest version and started experimenting with it. I've been doing High Dynamic Range Photography for over a decade now. I started out with Photomatix Pro, and last year tried out Aurora. There are some things I like, and some things I don't. I've used HDR for my landscape photography and travel photography for a decade now. HDR has come a long way, and Skylum might be on the right track.

I've been doing photography work since 2006. And as with any work we sometimes feel unappreciated sometimes, and we step away from that work. I've had that experience, and I'm sure you have too. But without a doubt, photography and video are coming back to the Airstream Chronicles in a big way. We'll see how it goes online.

For years I've sold stock photography online. And last year I started selling stock video online as well. Often I just didn't have time to upload to multiple sites (it's bandwidth intensive for video). But recently I came across a company called Blackbox.global. Submit your video to them, and they get it listed with several stock footage sites. So I'm giving them a try, and I'll share the experience with you.

Stock images and video are another possible revenue stream for full time travelers.

Several years ago we got the bright idea to try building websites for businesses in Colorado's booming marijuana industry. Today's podcast tells you why, in no uncertain terms, I'll never do another website for anyone in this market space again. Huge money, poor money management, and crying "cash poor" while purchasing yachts, giant homes, and yachting lessons. And all the while, asking for discounts for other people's services.

October is only a few days away. The temperatures are cooling off here in Prescott as we're a mile high. And soon the temperatures in Southern Arizona will be "cooler" as well. Given that Fall is coming in, and winter isn't far behind, the mass migration of "snowbird" RV'ers is beginning!

In today's episode I talk about RV Parks and Resorts in Southern states. I also talk a little about "boondocking" and off grid camping for the winter season at LTVAs and other similar locations.
