A lot of times when we think about training we only think about the workout, and making improvements. These can come in the form of new PR’s or best times. But something that we regularly forget about is the recovery side of the equation.

And mobility is something that people commonly don’t make the time to do. But that’s a huge mistake.

  • AAJ 043: How to get out of a training rut
In this episode you’ll learn all about how to get out of training ruts plus…
    • What causes a training rut.
    • Blonyx headbands help training ruts
    • The quickest ways out of a training rut.
    • Workouts that will bust you out of a training rut.
    • And much, much more.

A training rut is something that gets us all from time to time, but the best of us know exactly what to do when we feel a training rut coming on.

There are several great ways to bust out a training rut… – Find a new training partner. Just mixing this up can be a huge help to living up your workout sessions, and keeping the gains coming. – Try training at a new gym for a little while. Even if it’s a little bit out of your way, try it out for a month, then go back to your home gym, and you’re likely to feel rejuvenated. – Find some crazy workout program to try for a month or two. I like to find them in Muscle and Fitness magazine, or something like that. They can be totally off the wall, but the big change will bust you out of your training run for sure!

  • AAJ 041: Cricket Protein Bars, Sore Abs, and when to use Knee Sleeves & Wrist Wraps
Listen to get the lowdown on Cricket Protein Bars, Sore Abs, and when to use Knee Sleeves & Wrist Wraps: iTunes – Stitcher Radio In this episode you’ll learn about a few things like cricket protein bars :-), plus…
    • Why you’d want to even try Cricket Protein Bars, and eat them everyday.
    • How to get super sore abs, which is what you want. Trust me.
    • Do you need knee sleeve & wrist wraps?
    • And much, much more.
In my opinion cricket protein bars should be in every grocery store, and eaten on a regular basis by every athlete.

The sustainability of these bars is just so much greater than any other animal source of supplement out there.

Not to mention they have a very nice nutty flavor to them. And I can confidently say that I’ve enjoyed every flavor that I’ve tried.

  • AAJ 040: What if the government made exercise mandatory?
In this episode you’ll learn about how I think the government should make exercise mandatory, plus…
    • How to decrease your health care costs.
    • Cricket bars are awesome.
    • What it would take for the government to actually make this happen.
    • And much, much more.
What if the government made exercise mandatory?

How would it work? I’m thinking tracking bracelets. What does this look like? For now people could get FitBit’s. Then they could track total calories burned, or total steps taken. And I would suggest tracking in one week intervals.

People would be mad at first. I mean, people don’t like change. So, this would be taken badly at first, I’m sure. But what about the greater good…? I know tons of kids that don’t like going to school everyday. But for some reason we think that school is more important than exercise. Seems pretty ignorant to me.

People would get used to it. After they got into the routine people would definitely get used to doing the exercise. Like anything else that we have to do, they would get used to it, and maybe even start liking it.

People would be more happy, more productive, live longer, work longer, be more prepared for disasters. This is all just common sense at this point. If you don’t think so, do some research.

Healthcare costs would go down dramatically. Do I even need to say anything else here…

Is the government making too much money through people getting sick? This I don’t know the answer to. Do you? Could this be why the government doesn’t really care about the health of the people…

Mandatory things – drivers licenses, taxes, eating food, drinking water, working… These are things that we have gotten used to. So, let’s add exercise to that list.

At this point in my life I can say that exercising is the most important part of my day. Without a doubt.

Without our health what do we have?

Let’s stop focussing on health care, and start focussing on HEALTH!!!
