The Alleged Wrestling Podcast

It was a pretty slow news week in Wrestling but we managed to throw a show together. Paddy, he of B Show fame, joins us for the first time on the main podcast. We chat about WWE Raw, AEW Dynamite and NXT and pick our Wednesday Night War winner for this week. The Bubbly Bunch and The Newly Bros segments both divide opinion.

While we were on air the news broke that Florida will be allowing crowds at 25% capacity at sporting events.

We also chat about this week's Dark Side of The Ring episode and Steve finds ways to talk about Streets Of Rage 4...because it’s amazing.

If this is your first time listening to us check out our weekly show! We record it live on Mixlr every Friday night at 7pm (Irish time) talking WWE, AEW, NXT, NJPW etc and the big news items of the week, come join the chat! The show is posted to the podcast feed later that night, check us out at www.mixlr.com/alleged-wrestling-podcast

This week is the fifth edition of our single elimination tournaments where we pick the best of the best to go head-to-head. We each have a vote on the matchups, we each have one “Golden Buzzer” to automatically advance our pick to the next round or to use strategically. In the event of a tie the live listeners pick the winner of the round! It’s a great old time.

This week...Game Shows and Reality TV!

Steve starts off with his hilariously bad interview story from this week before we get into the wrestling talk. Drake Maverick on TV, Nia Jax, Velveteen Dream chat, WWE 2K21 cancelled, the Wednesday Night Wars and so much more!

This week...80’s/90’s Cartoons/TV Shows!

We start off with our memories of the late great Howard Finkel who sadly passed away this week. WWE released a tonne of wrestlers and producers this week, was it needed or was this coming for a long time? The missed opportunity with EC3 baffles us. We also chat about this week's “Wednesday Night War”. Did NXT or AEW have the better show this week?
