Welcome to the Americhicks podcast.
Kim Monson is your host - Agree or disagree, let's have a conversation!
Have you signed the petition to stop the National Popular Vote?
All petititons must be submitted by July 15th, so time is short.
If you have not signed the petition you can go to the Coloradans Vote website (coloradansvote.org) to find the location nearest you where you can add your name to the petition.
Every signiture helps!
Governor Polis and his fellow Colorado Democrats really, really want every last penny they can get from you, the tax payer.
The governor has made a failed attempt to get Colorado Republicans on board with the Democrats attempt to destroy TABOR (Tax Payers Bill of Rights).
Lakewood has passed an inititive to limit growth in Lakewood.
Now eleven Colorado counties are also seeking to pass legislation that would limit growth in those counties.
Kim and producer Steve may disagree on if it is or is not a go idea to limit growth.
Freedom vs Force - Force vs Freedom.
That is the question.
It’s always the question.
The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hearEspinoza v. Montana Department of Revenue, a case which essentially asks, do families have the freedom to choose where their kids go to school or will they be forced to attend a school that may not be best suited for the child?
Ross Izard, Director of Policy with ACE Scholarships, explains the importance of this case.
