• August 14, 2019Beastie Boys Tribute Group "She's Crafty" Celebrates the Life & Legacy of Adam Yauch with "MCA Day"

  Amy Sumpter, also known as MCAmy, stopped by the Morning AMp to talk all

  things Beastie. As a member of She's Crafty, Chicago's all-female Beastie Boys

  tribute, Amy graced the airwaves to talk about the legacy and impact of the iconic

  trio as well as the importance of supporting cancer research. This Saturday, She's

  Crafty will be performing at MCA Day, a celebration of the life and legacy of Adam

  Yauch, who passed awayin 2012 from cancer complications. The event will raise money

  for the Brandon C. Gromada Head & Neck Cancer Foundation and takes place

  Saturday, August 17th, 2019 at Lincoln Hall.

  Ross Golan is a multi-platinum pop songwriter whose credits include "Same

  Old Love" with Selena Gomez and "My House" with Flo Rida. His own solo project is a

  one-man concept album about a man who's been wrongfully accused of a crime. Ross has

  been traveling around the country performing this album in living rooms and intimate

  spaces, and now "The Wrong Man" has been picked up by a major label and the show is

  “appalled” by a music video of Mensa's that confronts racism in the criminal justice

  Comedy Central's new series "South Side" gives viewers an authentic portrayal of

  what life in the city is all about. Set in Englewood, the show follows two friends

  who just graduated community college ... so now they're ready to take over the

  world! Until then, they're stuck at Rent-T-Own, a retail-rental crossroads where the

  vast ensemble of characters come together.

  Joining Jill in studio are the show's co-creators and writers Bashir Salahuddin

  & Diallo Riddle as well as the show's lead actors Sultan Salahuddin and Chandra
