Just as the Israelites lived under the oppression of slavery in Egypt, we find ourselves as captives in a foreign land as believers. We’re under siege, with our enemy attacking us at every angle. Often, his attacks are subtle, and we may not even be aware of his efforts to undermine the work of God in our hearts.
