  • Anime Tourism, What No One Talks About….

Some people online called me an anime tourist, so I travelled to Japan and became one. For context: Anime Tourist- in the way that people on twitter (X) use it - is meant to imply I'm not a true anime fan because they believe I'm trying to impose my values on a medium that comes from a different culture. And I decided to combine this with actual Anime Tourism - which literally means traveling Japan for anime related events or sites.

With the controversial but essential program of 4kids on WB, the iconic Toonami and Adult Swim blocks on Cartoon Network, and the rise of early pirating on YouTube and Crunchyroll. Growing up as an anime fan in this era was a strangely beautiful time.

  • Belle Has A Serious Issue No One Is Addressing....

There is one thing that people tend to overlook when reviewing Studio Chizu’s BELLE. Despite being directed by legendary filmmaker Mamoru Hosoda (Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) and providing an optimistic take on technology and the internet, the film falls short when it attempts to portray how people should safely help victims of abuse.  SPOILERS
