This episode with Kimberly might be one of Reva's personal favorites. They talk about a form of therapy that Reva herself went through, called CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). The purpose of this episode is to educate you on what CBT is as well as understand it's benefits when it comes to mental disorder treatment.
Kimberly specializes in CBT as well as treatment of those who have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). They go deep into understanding more about what OCD entails and what types of behaviors it encompasses.
Toward the end, listen in on how Reva gets her own personal dose of therapy and an excellent mindset shift about social media.
Kimberly has just launched ERP School for treatment for those with OCD and it is open until Sept 20th. So, click here to get your hands on that!

I found Julia's videos on YouTube and once I saw a few, I knew that I had to bring her on The Anxious Rebels podcast and to all of you. Julia and I agree on the fact that we can take more responsibility in how we handle our anxiety and take back control so that we can get out of the vicious cycle that anxiety can suck us into faster.
We talk about common myths of what psychotherapy looks like, what it can look like and important things to look for when looking for a therapist. We also talk about what we can do to become more mentally strong, especially for those of us who are highly-sensitive people.

Today’s Anxious Rebels story is by Ashley Cecere. Ashley has had severe migraines for as long as she can remember and she walks us through her story and about how it can cause extreme anxiety for her because you just never know when it hits you. We talk about food anxiety as well and how this ties in because a lot of new-age medicine addresses diet as being a cure for migraines and how that just doesn’t work for and in fact, may cause more frustration overall.
The really big take away, in my opinion from this episode, is this. While it truly is difficult to communicate your symptoms some times with a medical professional, it helps to be educated, speak up and take responsibility for your treatment plan. You are entitled to speaking up when it comes to your treatment or lack thereof.
