Your host Jason Drury continues featuring music from archival releases of film music which appeared just before and after Christmas 2022 by first showcasing music from the expanded edition of Danny Elfman’s classic score to SPIDER-MAN (La La Land Records) and then playing selections of a true archival classic MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS, composed by John Barry (Quartet Records).
Jason then presents two suites, from two scores written for the same film, Alfred Hitchcock’s FRENZY (Quartet Records). Firstly, you'll hear music from Henry Mancini’s rejected score and then you'll hear the score used in the film.
You'll then hear selections from Marco Beltrami's score to THE FACULTY (Intrada Records).
The show ends with an alternate version of "Dry Your Tears, Afrika" by John Williams from the expanded release of AMISTAD (La La Land Records).
Enjoy!
