Ross Mead is a dope guitarist that showed me the beauty of Metallica nearly 15 years ago. Since then he's gotten a PhD in Computer Science and is founder and CEO of Semio, who designs software for social robots.

Ross digs into some of the ways he approaches identifying problems, paving a way forward and finding his way while leading through uncharted territory. It was pretty early in the morning so there were some fatigue induced jokes in there too.

One day, this dude walked into a garage i was in, sat behind a drumset and played along with a bunch of original tunes that he had never heard before. I think he was 15 or 16 at the time. Needless to say I was both impressed and pissed. On one hand, he learned, adapted, and took direction like a seasoned vet, but who did he think he was breezing through making things look easy?

Trent is an old soul with fresh eyes and i'm glad he came to share his perspective with us.
