The TekFreaks are an electro and tech-house dance music duo based out of San Francisco. The group was formed in early 2009 by DJs and producers Cosmic Selector and Jeff Taisch. They began performing together alongside top international superstars at the legendary Opulent Temple events where they have been core members and resident DJs for several years, thrilling crowds with their signature old-school rock-metal electro tech funk sound. Now the duo is blowing it up with their slamming remixes and original tracks, known for their dirty synth sounds, kicking baselines and pumping production style!

They are Frank Cueto and Rusty Belicek. Together they form the funky and eclectic duo known as All Good Funk Alliance and we're very excited to have them in The Armory this week. Press play. Get down.

"I wanted to represent what we did, do and are into", says Rusty. "I wanted to have midtempo breaks, ghetto funk, moombahton, hip hop, funk and everything that makes our sound unique. Hopefully people feel it.. I used some DC artists to give them some shine and even a twerk tune because that's what I like.. straight vibes."

Made up of Frank Cueto and Rusty Belicek, All Good Funk Alliance has opened up for the legendary James Brown, written songs for Coca-Cola and appeared on the Breakspoll Top 50 list. In other words, these guys are no strangers to the funk. And while their musical tastes range the gamut, when Frank and Rusty join forces the end result is always the same: they deliver a sound that is funky, fun and fresh.

All Good Funk Alliance has long been lauded by critics and fans alike, and DJs looking to inject flavor into their sets invariably seek out that unmistakable AGFA sound. Their remix of big band legend Woody Herman's track, "Mambo Herd," was met with critical acclaim, and the boys recently signed a major remix deal to put their indelible, funk-infused spin on Kraak and Smaak's hit album “Plastic People." As a member and resident of Space Cowboys, DJ Zach Moore spins events from San Francisco to the Black Rock Desert to New York City and beyond. Zach has played epic, sold-out events like Outside Lands, Burning Man, Treasure Island Music Festival, Lightning in a Bottle, PEX Summer Fest, GhostShip and the legendary Breakfast of Champions. With official support from broken beat veterans like The Crystal Method, Lady Waks & a string of other heavy hitters 2014 has become a bit of a Hot Mess, The Album that is.

As the creative force behind Juice Recordings, The Juice Squad, Sticky Bumps & A Tribe Called Wes, Wes Smith releases current originals, mixes & mashups from his alias monikers as well as actively working with long time collaborators and friends like DJ Fixx, BadboE, Kid Kenobi & DJ Love. Alex Dias (aka Sychosis) has spent over ten years in the San Francisco Electronic Music scene as a DJ, producer, and promoter. Prior to being bitten by the electronic music bug, he toured Europe and North America as a classically trained singer. His unique blend of all things broken beat, electro, and house has destroyed dance floors across California and been featured on NSB Radio, Sirius Electric Area, Party 95 (Florida), and Mutha FM (South Africa).

In the studio, Sychosis is a machine. His bangin' edits, originals, and remixes have been played on dance floors and featured in mixes worldwide. With releases on Orphan Music, Toast N Jam, Breakz R Boss and support from the likes of Phutureprimitive, Marten Horger, Left/Right, The Crystal Method, Refracture, Dylan Sanders, J-Roc(Sould Out Djs), Dj Frenzy, Lady Waks, Fort Knox Five, Krafty Kuts and Rel1 he is quickly getting noticed as a major up and coming player in the breaks scene.He also is a reviews writer for 2012 Breakspoll Nominee Life Support Machine and has interviewed FreQ Nasty, Rektchordz, and Sub Slayers among others.

This week it is our great pleasure to welcome to The Armory the venerable, house-music legend DJ Brad Robinson of the Space Cowboys. With nearly 20 years under his belt, Brad's vast DJ experience has taken him from his humble beginnings at Vanderbilt University to San Francisco to Black Rock City and even as far as Thailand and South Korea. The flawless mix you're about to hear was recorded live earlier this month from Pink Mammoth's 10-Year Anniversary party at Mighty in San Francisco. Press play. Get down.

Brad Robinson started playing house music on the airwaves of Vanderbilt radio station WRVU, Nashville in 1994. Warehouse parties were prominent in the midwest and southeast during those years, providing Brad exposure to some of the best DJs and some of the best crowds that the scene had to offer. Influenced by DJs and producers like Mark Grant, Mark Farina, DJ Dan, the Chicago Teamsters, the Hardkiss Brothers, and DJ Sneak, Brad continued to develop his style of house music that would have a lasting effect on him and his fans.  Playing parties and events from New Orleans to Chicago, Brad quickly discovered that his house music could bring people together.  With a rare opportunity, Brad travelled to San Francisco to intern with the infamous Hardkiss Records label.  The experience would forever change his view of electronic music and it was the eclectic vibe of the San Francisco music scene which drew him back in 1998 where he interned for OM Records and began to call SF his home.

In 2000, Brad joined the Space Cowboys collective and journeyed to his first of many Burning Man festivals in the Nevada desert.  In the desert of Black Rock City and the streets of San Francisco Brad continued to share his love of house music with his 8+ year monthly residency at Vision and honed his trademark sound: a little funk, a lot of groove, some classic house sounds, some sneak-up-on-ya latin vibes, but always infused with soul and organic elements.  For Brad, playing house music is about connecting with the mood and celebration of the community he is with.  Brad can be found playing at some of San Francisco's iconic annual events including the Space Cowboy annual New Years Day Breakfast of Champions, as well as clubs and parties in the Bay Area.
