  • W.Haze - Episode 014
We apologize for the tardy post, Boys and Girls. We had a last-minute postponement by this week's scheduled guest and had to scramble to find a stand-in. Thankfully San Francisco's W.Haze stepped forward with this lovely tech house set which dovetails quite nicely with Nick.the.Neck's mix from last week. We hope you like!

Nick.the.Neck, the mild-mannered, L.A.-based alter ego of the man they call Pumpkin is this week’s special guest in The Armory. For his appearance on the podcast, Nick crafted this gorgeous, 67-minute mix of his signature deep, sexy tech house. We think it makes the perfect soundtrack for any size gathering this holiday season. Press play and enjoy, Everyone.

  • Loomer - Episode 011
This week in The Armory we welcome our good pal, Loomer, of the Cruz Coalition out of Los Angeles to the 1s and 2s.
    Mr Loomer's Bio:
Not too long ago, The Loomer began direct pursuit of his true passion – music as a force for positive change. Loomer produces and performs breakbeats and dirty electro with intricate melodies, abstract vocal phrasing, and phat, dusty bass to activate body and mind.
With a growing list of LA residencies -- Area 33, Zanzibar, Custom Hotel, House of Blues Foundation Room –- DJ Loomer’s sound is characterized by lots of changes, layers upon layers of broken beats and provocative lyrical snippets that narrate a labyrinthine musical journey across time and space. Remix tracks are available on Teknical Funk and illeven:eleven recordings and an original LP is on the way.
The Loomer can be found rocking dance floors from Coachella to Electric Daisy Carnival, from Lightning in a Bottle to Burning Man. In addition to performing at events and festivals in the US and abroad, Loomer (aka David Loomstein) produces live events with partner Art Cruz and the Southern California-based Cruz Coalition.

  • Brazen - Episode 010
This week in The Armory we're pleased to bring you this tasty, exclusive mixset from Miami legend, Brazen!
Boom this podcast loud in your ride or from your light cycle! On the music front, Dj/Producer/Director Brazen from Miami, Fla., is revered as a ballsy destroyer of dance floors & the Executive Producer of “Bring On The Beats” - a people's favorite event and dance music brand born from WMC a decade ago.
On "The Armory," Brazen has gone on the offensive, spraying a shower of bass in a badass, epic mix of stellar jams from his personal stockpile. Brazen has unleashed over 75 blistering minutes of “Sun Drenched, Bass Driven Ammo” for his first guest mix for the Armory.
In the spirit of the Armory’s 80’s arcade machine concept, Brazen has loaded this podcast full of upcoming original releases, re-mixes, VIP bootlegs, exclusive tracks by him as well as genre heavies and operatives of Brazen’s new label Ballistic Music. Level up with 8-bit videogame touches on a first person, shooter style “hero’s venture" into a world of digitized 808 bass that culminates by offering an experience of meeting a boss in a video game.
“I was definitely a bit of a 'vidiot' back in the day," says Brazen. "As a kid I embezzled my paper route money so I could fund my sessions on classic games like Ms. Pac man, Tempest, Defender, Galaga, Spyhunter and Missile Command. Inspired by my youthful video game obsession, I had fun creating a Tron-esque party vibe for the podcast.
"I really enjoyed the Mafia Kiss mix," Brazen continues. They played up on the theme and really set a high bar for The Armory. I’m honored Zach reached out to give me a chance to put my spin on the series."

  • Influence - Episode 009
This week in The Armory DJ Influence of San Francisco’s Strategik collective is on the decks dropping one of his signature dark and dirty breaks sets. Press play and enjoy!
Influence started his piratical career in a time called Ye Olden School. Quickly rising through the ranks of deck swabbing, plank laying, wenching, & rumming; his golden years came to end upon the capture of his ship by a band of jolly rogers on the ship Strategik (they were good with a cannon, but not so much with spelling). Locked away in the ship's depths, every night he was told, "Good night, Westley. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning." All seemed lost, so he got into Djing, took over the ship, called himself Influence, and the rest was basically, history... basically.

  • Ma Yeah - Episode 007
After 6 weeks of breaks, we're happy to be changing things up in the seventh installment of The Armory Podcast. San Francisco's DJ Ma Yeah is sure to get you groovin' with this funky, disco house mixset. And now a few words from this week's special guest....
Hello beautiful people! I'm DJ Ma Yeah out of not-so-sunny San Francisco, California. I roll with the wonderful Janky Barge and Catmandu crews and have played at venues all over the city and on the playa. I don't know much about wobbly noises so here's another hour of funky, grooving disco house for you, recommended especially if your idea of bass music is Bootsy Collins.
If you're headed to Ghost Ship this weekend, check me out at 10pm on the Sea Cave stage for some funky tunes to get your night going. Cheers y'all, and enjoy the mix!

  • Colombo - Episode 006
Imagine our luck! This week 2012 Breakspoll-winner, Colombo (aka Alejandro Rojo) is a surprise special guest in The Armory! His latest mixset was just dropped into our inbox by our friends at iBreaks so naturally we'll be doubling up on the podcast this week: breaks at the front end with Colombo and some disco house at the back courtesy of San Francisco's Ma Yeah. Press play. Enjoy.
A native of Malaga and formerly one half of BSD (BASS STAR DOS), Colombo wrote his first dance track in 1999 at the tender age of 17. Following stints with Reflex Musik, Starsing Records and Dubplate Records (2003 through 2007), the young Spanish producer joined forces with iBreaks in 2009 and quickly established himself as the label's brightest star.
