  • 🎙️Episode 51: Beyond Burnout: Changing the System for Teachers & Learners🎙️

Join us for Episode 51 as we sit down with two powerful changemakers—Angela, a former teacher turned Mojo Mentor, and Jane, a former SENCO—who both left education after facing systemic misalignment and burnout.

Angela shares her journey from classroom teaching to freelance wellbeing specialist, and the difficult decision to step away again when the system made it impossible to protect her own wellbeing, as well as that of her colleagues and students. Jane reflects on her experience battling to meet diverse learning needs, and her passionate belief that if we prioritised the environment and embraced all learning styles, “additional needs” would become a thing of the past.

We also discuss highlights and outcomes from our recent Changemaker event, key calls to action for educators and leaders, and how Mojo School’s new Educator Toolkit is supporting burnout prevention with practical, done-for-you resources—empowering teachers and schools while we work for real, systemic change.

Tune in for honest insights, practical solutions, and a vision for an education system where everyone can thrive.

  • 🎙️ Episode 48: Rethinking How We Learn, Grow & Thrive 🎙️

This week, I’m joined by the wonderful Vanessa Warrington—our venue host and land guardian at Halkyn Castle Wood, and a passionate advocate for alternative education. We dive deep into why our upcoming Reimagining Education gathering (co-produced by young people and featuring global changemakers!) is so needed right now.

Traditional education is at a crossroads—too often measuring memory instead of true competency, and missing the mark on child development, brain science, and neurodiversity. The result? More parents are seeking out alternatives, home education is on the rise, and innovative spaces like Vanessa’s are becoming the new norm for families wanting something more.

    In this episode, we explore:

    * Why this event is different (and why we’d love to see you there on 16th August—free tickets available!)

    * How young people are leading the charge to reshape education for the next generation

    * The power of collaborative, community-driven learning (for parents, educators, and young people alike)

    * Why frameworks like Mojo School are essential—not just for schools, but for families and individuals to access wellness and emotional literacy tools, anytime, anywhere

This is the first in a series of conversations leading up to our big event, where we’ll keep shining a light on what’s possible when we rethink how we learn, grow, and thrive—together.

✨ Ready to join the conversation and be part of the change? Tune in now, and grab your free ticket for August 16th!🎧

  • 🎙️ Episode 47: The Final Quarter🎙️

What’s missing from your life? If you’ve ever felt like there’s an invisible gap between “doing well” and truly feeling alive, you’re not alone. In this honest episode, I’m getting real about my own journey into the final quarter of the Medicine Wheel—a space I’ve often kept hidden, even from myself.

For years, I’ve been quietly working in this quarter—my own spiritual development. But let’s be honest: “Spirituality” is a loaded word. It can spark images of religious dogma, new age clichés, or even just uncomfortable conversations. So, like many, I’ve found myself moderating my language, skirting around the topic, and sometimes ignoring this vital part of myself.

But here’s the truth: Our human need for something bigger than ourselves is woven into our search for purpose, identity, passion, and meaning. And yet, we’re constantly told to fit in, to avoid the “weird stuff,” and to never question what truly lights us up.

This episode is my invitation to stop dancing around the subject and finally open up the final quarter of the Medicine Wheel—without fear, without judgement. I’m sharing my authentic path and plans to help you (and me!) explore what spirituality, soul, and “something bigger” really mean, in a way that feels right for you.

✨ Ready to take a closer look at what’s missing? Listen in, and let’s start the conversation we’ve all been avoiding. Your journey to wholeness starts here.🎧

  • 🎙️Episode 45: Triggers after Shadow Work - Real time reflections 🎙️

Ever thought you’d “done the work” only to find yourself triggered out of nowhere?

This week, I hit record in real time as an old wound surfaced—linked to my childhood and my years in the fashion industry, where my sense of worth and boundaries were constantly tested.

In this raw and honest episode, I share what it’s like to experience a trigger while it’s happening. We talk about:

    * Why triggers still pop up, even after years of personal growth and shadow work

    * The importance of honouring your gut feelings and physical cues (your body always knows!)

    * How to activate the power of the pause and check in with yourself before reacting

    * Why boundary work and self-worth are lifelong practices, not one-and-done achievements

    * The reality that even coaches and leaders are always learning, growing, and being tested

This is your permission slip to be human. Healing isn’t linear, and the journey is ongoing—there’s no finish line, just deeper layers of understanding and self-compassion.

✨ Whether you’re new to shadow work or a seasoned soul explorer, this episode is for you if you’ve ever wondered, “Why am I still getting triggered?”

Spoiler: You’re not alone, and there’s nothing wrong with you. This is how we evolve.

Tune in, take a breath, and let’s walk this path together. Your triggers are teachers. Honour your journey. 💛

  • 🎙️Episode 43: Does my hair colour affect my mood?🎙️

Have you ever stopped to think about how something as simple as your hair can shape your identity? 💇‍♀️🌈 In this episode, I dive deep into my personal journey with hair colour and how it’s become a powerful part of my authentic expression.

From the first time I dyed my hair (spoiler: it was a game-changer!) to the bold and vibrant colours I’ve embraced over the years, I explore how each shade has reflected a piece of who I am. 💖 But it’s not just about the colours—it’s about what happened when I stopped dying my hair and the revelations that followed. 🪞

We’ll chat about the "superficial" elements of ourselves that actually play vital roles in how we see and feel about ourselves. And I’ll take you back to those younger years when so many of us were boxed into society’s beige, copy-paste moulds instead of being encouraged to shine as our true selves. 🌟

This episode is your reminder that embracing your authentic self—whether through hair colour, fashion, or any other form of expression—is a journey worth taking. 💃✨

🎧 Tune in now to explore the power of self-expression, identity, and the colorful journey to finding your mojo!

  • 🎙️Episode 40: Clarity & Communication with Sonka🎙️

Today I have been chatting with my good friend Sonka, whilst on a side quest mission to Norwich to change the face of Education!

We have already spoken with previous guests about the children who slip through the net - those dealing with Trauma, Neurodivergence and Additional Learning Needs.........but let's take a look at the 'Success Stories'.

Those who tick all of the boxes of external compliance and seemingly breeze through their schooling experience. How do they feel in adulthood about their education?

Lots of interesting discussions to come around education this year, including those who were completely battered, neglected and abandoned by the system, and those who were considered 'more able and talented' - does the toxicity run through both ends of the spectrum?! 🤔

Sonka and I discussed our personal experiences, our reflections from the weekend in Norwich and a beautifully challenging and controversial conversation about diversity and inclusion. 🥰
