Olivia Fields is an abstract artist and photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her bachelor degree in advertising with a minor in studio art from The University of Georgia. World travel has inspired her work to bring to life colors, patterns, and textures seen in and throughout nature as well as different cultures. As an artist well versed in many mediums, her work includes a variety of different elements to create texture of all kinds. Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Beth Rose of Beth Rose Photography. We took a deep dive into what it means to live out your faith in your chosen profession. My husband calls me Hummingbird because I am hyper - I suppose - and I eat a lot. It started before I would date him when he was trying to catch me; he said one day I would have to land. Now five children and a little over a decade later, I have. But still only for moments.

I’ve been a photographer for over 20 years. I started with film and in the darkroom. There are so many things inherent in film - an honesty that comes with the limits of it. That honesty is what I value in photography. Looking at a painting, you can question how much of it came from the artist’s imagination and how much is real. Photography is different. If you see it, it happened.

www.peggyreevesart.com Soft, peaceful, textured, and dramatic are often a few of the eclectic words that have described my work. With each piece taking on its own message inspired by a deep faith, songs of inspiration and a desire to express hope, I continue to share my voice through the expression of creating. I've always had a deep need and hunger to create, one that consistently found ways to be filled. In fact, I've often described myself as an "Eclectic Freelance Artist”, with experience in various types of creative contract work like graphic design, faux painting, interior design, writing, speaking and singing. These are all creative experiences that find their way into my art. So, with a long time curiosity to express my creativity on canvas, a Facebook posting for a local art class caught my attention and I finally took the initiative. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the unlimited possibilities in painting. Now, It seems only natural that my creative energy can be fulfilled in one location...a CANVAS!!!

As an artist, I continue to hone my craft through art courses, studying art and the business, and spending endless hours painting.....and painting. It has truly become my passion and a way to express my creativity, my love for design, and most of all my love for the Master Creator, GOD!

My studio and home is in Franklin, TN with my husband Tom and our dog London. I am the proud mom of two children, both married and now blessed to be “Queenie” to six grand kids.

Join me today as I interview artist, Gina Foose. Instagram is @ginafooseart Gina was raised in the heart of the south in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. It was there her love for art began in middle school when a friend showed her how to draw a female face and smudge lead for shading which resulted in a deep heart connection. That experience lead to a life lived connecting to others through creativity in the forms of photography and interior and garden design. In 2013, her passion for creative adventure led her to brush and canvas. She sought training with Milan Art Institute through their Mastery Program and began creating fine art as a full time career.

Her work is inspired by her relationship with her Creator and His creation. A strong connectedness to that is felt as she paints using acrylic paint, strong mark making, spray paint, stencil and crayon. She enjoys a loose and drippy process with fun color that expresses joy and whole-heartedness. Her work has been described as liberating, instilling hope and filling the desire for happiness planted deeply in the human heart by God.

She paints in her home studio in Lexington, SC where she currently resides with Jeff, her husband of 30 years and their sweet cockapoos, Willow and Maddie. The connection to others that art brings is why Gina says she continues to paint prolifically today. Her most current work, Faces, Figures & Flowers, is abstract and impressionistic in style. It reflects a simple eternal beauty and is influenced by her love of gardening, especially using cut flowers to bring life and color indoors.

Her work is represented in galleries and boutiques in South Carolina and Alabama and collected across the US.

Raised by an accomplished art instructor, Brande's creative journey was built with a solid understanding of the arts. She attended a year of college at CBC Conway but was challenged financially during that time and had to step away. When she opened her online vintage boutique in 1999, Victory Vintage Boutique, she discovered fashions with delicate handmade details that were in need of a new life. The need to give new life to vintage heirlooms naturally led her into her own design line. Her business flourished and eventually turned into her own costume design business. She developed skills in fashion and beauty photography during this time and worked alongside many well-known designers and photographers. This season of experience in millinery & costume design led to the evolution of craft in the arts. From costume & headgears to installation art & painting, Brande's work is recognizable no matter the medium.
