Part 1: I contacted doctors so they could get to know me and hopefully refer me as a psychologist – but what happens is that their patients need therapy, the doctors do the referral, but the clients simply don’t come for therapy.

A Dentista and a doctor asked what should they to their patients so they understand that it is crucial for them to take that first step of going to therapy?

Part 2: Another quite similar question is: How (and what) do I teach other professionals so they can be successful referrers? I have doctors calling me saying that I should receive a call from their patient who they referred to me, and then their patient doesn’t call.

This happens repeatedly with a lot of professionals that I have made contact with. The professionals tell the person they need therapy, but this is not enough for the patient to make the first contact for therapy. What else should I tell referrers about my services to increase referrals?

There is too much to do, and I don’t have time. What should I do?
