The podcast currently has 30 episodes available.
In this hard hitting piece of investigative journalism (sarcasm implied) the sophomoric duo breakdown the latest drama. They discuss gamestop and the reddit group wallstreetbets. It appears that the market was manipulated in broad daylight and the story just went away. They discuss Gina Carano's insta post and subsequent cancellation. They even discuss evil unicorns who will be the harbringer of our doom.
Thom and Yvan discuss how to train cops without being a douche. Training is a lot like leadership and requires buy in and involvement by the students. Training is one of the most important investments that any organization can make in it's people.
Thom and Yvan play clips and reminisce about some of their favorite episodes. They revisit the first episode and examine Thom's SUS drinking habits. They talk about Fredson Paixao's diabolical plan to defraud Yvan out of his fat guy bet and much more!
Thom and Yvan recount the shit tree experience. They talk about taking losses as a leader and understanding why orders are not followed.
As a leader you have to understand that the buck stops with you. When two new boots refuse to follow a direct order, it's in everyone's best interest to pause and try and figure out why. They also talk about how people who kiss your ass, are not really your friend. The one's who produce and do a good job, those are the ones you should protect and cultivate.
Once upon a time there was a rookie captain and a trainee who had an epic battle for supremacy. Well, not actually but the new boot told the Captain to pound sand when given a direct order. In this episode we recount the details of this ordeal and talk about the leadership lessons that can be learned from this. When someone has everything to lose by disobeying an order still disobeys there has to be something to it.
2020 is on track to end in the most 2020 of ways. All signs point to Joe Biden as the new president of the united states. In this episode Yvan takes on the notion that Law Enforcement may never be the same after his presidency. Yvan goes over what police should be now, what changes he thinks will occur and what he thinks should change. Thom is absent because he is secretly performing as a roadie for the Menudo boy band reunion tour.
Thom and Yvan talk about politics...sorry. How do you not talk about the weirdest most cringeworthy debate in human history though? In this episode the policies of Trump and Biden are analyzed by two idiots and a detailed nonsensical breakdown of the debate ensues. If you like detailed well thought out analysis of politics...you can listen too.
Leandro Lorenco sits down with Yvan to discuss how to increase the ability of law enforcement so safely control someone without injuring them. They discuss the different belts and what they mean, training methodologies and how to build an efficient defensive tactics program. Thom is unavailable because he was cosplaying in the park.
Donavin Britt shared his view on the black experience and gives his thoughts on the current state of policing, America and the history of racism in this country. Yvan and Donavin find common ground on when and why the black on black argument makes sense to bring up. Everyone realizes that conversations about race are uncomfortable, difficult and even dangerous. However, without them and without Americans sitting across from one another and conversing it will be difficult to mend this country. Also, Thom has to be told to share his beer because he has bad manners.
The sophomoric Duo realize that this is perhaps the worst time to go from a fun loving show about brazillian jiu jitsu and back pain to focusing on law enforcement. They break down current events and analyze them based on the principles of policing developed by Sir Robert Peele.
