On this week's edition of Assembly Call Radio, we use Archie Miller's recent comments about De'Ron Davis on the College Hoops Today podcast as a jumping off point for assessing what is fair to expect from De'Ron this year, how he improved last season, and how he might fit on this year's IU roster.

On the mics this week: Jerod, Andy, and ... eventually ... Ryan.

In Segment One [2:16], Jerod and Andy deliver their opening thoughts, explain why you should bookmark iutickets.shop, and then discuss their biggest reactions to Archie Miller's podcast appearance. (Listen to it here: https://soundcloud.com/compass-media/college-hoops-today-with-jon-rothstein-indianas-archie-miller-1)

In Segment Two [14:00], Jerod and Andy dissect Archie's individual comments about Evan Fitzner, Justin Smith, and Devonte Green. Then they discuss the timetable Archie laid out for De'Ron's return, before talking about fair expectations for him in the upcoming season.

In Segment Three [26:06], Ryan appears! The conversation on De'Ron continues. What do the numbers say about his improvement last year and his biggest strengths and weaknesses? How difficult might it be for the coaching staff to work him into the lineup if he isn't ready to play until mid-season? And more.

In Segment Four [40:59], we answer your questions:

• What about Race Thompson?
• What are our favorite memories of Brian Evans?
• What will Archie's biggest challenge be this season?
• Why is recruiting in-state players so important? (Ryan makes an especially good point about this.)

All of that and more on this week's edition of Assembly Call Radio.
