Determination is the essences of increasing your chances of being successful in a particular thing or achieving a particular goal, and it can also help you to stay motivated and continue striving towards the one thing you want to achieve. For me, having determination keeps me in control and motivated to continue along the path of achieving my long term goal in life. Without that, I would not be able to push through and keep moving forward when times start to get tough and it’s important to know what gives you that determination to keep going and remember that answer when you are faced with adversity or a challenging situation. The reason why I continue pursuing my long term goal after many years and after countless amounts of setbacks and challenges that appeared in my way throughout my journey is remembering what make me determined to keep going. For me that is having the opportunity to change people’s lives for the better and seeing the transformation happen in front of my own eyes. That’s what keeps me determined in continuing to go after that long term goal that I want to achieve even though the future is uncertain and that anything can happen in my life.

The definition of determination is when you are wanting to do something very much and not allowing anyone or any difficulties stop you for doing it. This definition could not be anymore accurate and that is what the beauty of determination is and why it’s so important for anyone to have. Without any determination, it can lead you to give up on the one thing that you wanted to do because of the difficulty that you are faced with or what someone else has said. No one should ever give up on something that they truly want to do because everyone can achieve something if they are willing to put in the work and have a strong mindset towards overcoming the particular challenge and overcoming people who disagree with you and don’t have your best interest at heart. That’s the power of determination and having that by your side can make a difference to your life.

  • Facebook Vaccine Information Groups Find Themselves in Moderation Gray Area

Do you need an AudioBook Narration, or do you want someone to Narrate your YouTube/podcast script, then please do check out: https://www.linktr.ee/unitynarrator

Three years ago, Kate Bilowitz, a real estate worker with an armchair curiosity about health misinformation, created a Facebook group for vaccine discourse. Vaccine Talk: An Evidence Based Discussion Forum was created as a good-faith space for conversations about vaccines. The group’s original tagline stated that it was “a forum for both pro- and anti-vaxxers,” but beneath the hood it relied on dozens of moderators and admins to keep the community free of false medical claims, eventually attracting 54,000 members.

“It’s one of the few places on Facebook where both sides, and people in the middle, can come together and discuss [their vaccine beliefs] and it’s gonna be civil,” Bilowitz told OneZero.

On Sunday, however, the group was named by CNN Business in a story about misleading vaccine information on Facebook. The story was later updated, and it no longer mentions Vaccine Talk. But the community has since changed its name to exclude the line “a forum for both pro- and anti-vaxxers.”

“I’m concerned that Facebook could misinterpret what we’re about,” Bilowitz said. That misinterpretation, she fears, could result in the shuttering of responsible forums where Facebook users can ask questions about vaccine science.

Since the start of vaccine distribution last December, OneZero has identified dozens of Facebook groups encompassing thousands of users dedicated to discussing the science of vaccines and people’s vaccine experiences. These groups span a spectrum of beliefs. At one end are communities like Vaccine Talk, which seek to empower members with evidence-based resources and provide a welcoming environment for people with fears and concerns about a subject they may know little about. At the other, staunch anti-vax groups and pages are actively mobilizing users into real-world acts of opposition.

  • Brace Yourself, Inflation is Coming

Do you need an AudioBook Narration, or do you want someone to Narrate your YouTube/podcast script, then please do check out: https://www.linktr.ee/unitynarrator

Investors are obsessed with inflation. And with good reason.

It’s closely tied to interest rates and has ample implications for the relative valuation of current and future profits.

Shifts in the inflation outlook can cause sector rotations and shifts in Wall Street’s weighing of growth versus value, staples versus cyclical, and domestic versus foreign equities.

Inflation expectations are rising. But they could go up further.

With the reopening of the world economy over the coming six months as a catalyst, investors can face a spike in short term inflation.

The below outlines the key reasons for inflationary pressure being imminent.

Further, the implications for investors seeking to optimize their portfolios are emphasized.

The Current Economic Environment in the US

The US economy is rebounding following the swift and large contraction in 2020. Induced by the COVID-19 pandemic and widespread lockdowns, the fall in economic activity in the spring was unforeseen in modern times.

But expansionary monetary policy from central banks across the globe — especially the US Federal Reserve — and continual fiscal stimulus has provided some much-needed cushion.

Compared to the last economic downturn, which followed the financial crisis of 2007–08, the response of policymakers has been quick and substantial.

Monetary policy has been very accommodating.

The Federal Reserve (Fed) has a policy mandate targeting an annual inflation rate of 2 percent. To allow for more flexibility in policymaking, they can choose to over or undershoot this target temporarily but will target an average inflation rate of 2 percent over a medium to long time horizon.

The flexibility is granted due to simultaneous goals for facilitating maximum employment and stable, modest interest rates.

An indicator often looked to is the 10-year breakeven inflation. It recently rose above 2 percent for the first time since 2018 (see exhibit A).

  • Be Extremely Careful Who You Listen to About Money. Most People Have No Idea.

Do you need an AudioBook Narration, or do you want someone to Narrate your YouTube/podcast script, then please do check out: https://www.linktr.ee/unitynarrator

Talking about money on social media is a craze.

    Be careful.

There are a lot of people who know nothing about money. It’s not their fault either. Financial markets are purposely made complex so only the rich understand them. It took me years working in a bank to understand that.

I write about money. But my goal is to make people think about money, not copy how I choose to invest my own. I want to debunk some myths and get you focused on what matters when it comes to your finances.

You have no choice but to invest your money.

You might think understanding finance doesn’t matter.

I got a wake-up call yesterday. My bank emailed me. My savings account is now earning 0.10% per year instead of the 0.60% it earned me only a few weeks ago. It used to earn 6% when I opened it.

The drop in interest rates has been swift.

In the old days, you could get away with a savings account or term deposit and block your ears. Now, in a zero interest rate environment, where many countries are already offering negative interest rates (you pay them to hold your money rather than them pay you), you have no choice.

You will be beaten up by monetary policy and forced to work much harder to put food on the table and a roof over your head if you don’t spend a bit of your time understanding the basics of investing.

If you feel overwhelmed about how to save money, you’re not alone. While some may think saving money is relatively straightforward, one in five Americans have nothing saved at all. So even though spending money is arguably more exciting, you should consider saving money a priority. And there are plenty of ways to save money that don’t involve making sacrifices, either. Sometimes the best way to start saving money is simply to become more aware of your finances and spending habits. With an understanding of your budget and your true needs, you may start putting away more money than you ever expected.

To effectively save money, you should consider both long-term strategies like paying down debt, and short-term tactics like skipping the cocktail at the restaurant. While you may not be able to overhaul all your spending habits overnight, with time and consistency anyone can learn how to put some money aside. Whether you’re looking to start saving for the future or you’re just looking to be financially savvy right now, there are many reasons that you may struggle with saving. Keep reading for some practical money-saving tips, or jump to the section that’s most helpful for you:

Unless you’re fabulously wealthy, it’s likely that large expenses in your life will require planning in order to purchase. Define what you’re saving for to help keep you on track when it comes to avoiding unnecessary purchases. For example, if you remember that your goal is to save $100,000 over the next ten years in your child’s college fund, it will be a lot easier to stay out of the drive-thru line.

Consider that you may need to save up for pricey necessities like a car and a home. The average American will own a total of six cars in their lifetime, so it may be a good idea to start saving for your next vehicle now, even if you don’t currently need one.

Finally, it’s essential to save for retirement from your first job to your last. According to a recent study, most Americans near retirement have only save twelve percent of the recommended amount for retirement. That may be because getting to a place where you have extra income to save takes time, but may also be because many people don’t practice good money-saving techniques from an early age.

To help you learn how to save money and achieve your financial goals we’ve compiled a list of effective ways to save money:

  • 10 Mental Models You Can Use For Smart Decision Making

Do you need an AudioBook Narration, or do you want someone to Narrate your YouTube/podcast script, then please do check out: https://www.linktr.ee/unitynarrator

It’s impossible to know everything. You just don’t have enough time to process all the information in the world. That’s where mental models come in. Over time, you want to build these little “rules of thumb” that you can use to make smart decisions.

Mental models give you a mental edge because they help you make decisions without needing to know every little thing about the subject of your decision. They’re little programs you can use to assess things much more quickly.

There are an infinite amount of mental models to choose from. You can, and should, make up some of your own. Let’s take a look at some of the models that have personally helped me transform my entire life over the past six years.

    The Savvy Gambler Model
“Improving decision quality is about increasing our chances of good outcomes, not guaranteeing them.” — Annie Duke

You want to expose yourself to scenarios where the payoff is potentiallyhuge and the downside is limited. Some people call this antifragility.

There’s a great book called Little Bets that elaborates on this concept too. In general, the more you iterate, tinker, and create little experiments overall, the likelier you are to get one of them to pay off.

Take writing for example. You can’t sell negative books. You know that at worst you lose out on the investment you made into creating the book. At best, you have a runaway bestseller that creates additional career opportunities.

Or take my articles for example. I’ll write ~30 articles in a month. In any given month, 90 percent of the articles will have mediocre performance, but the 10 percent that does well does really, really well — so much so that they get more views than the other 90 percent of articles combined (times ten).

What are some examples of these antifragile scenarios?
    • Internet businesses — You can start many online businesses with low capital requirements. Take affiliate marketing where you only need a website and can promote digital products you didn’t even make yourself. There are six and seven-figure businesses that can be started for as little as five dollars per month.
    • Scientific discoveries — Thomas Edison said it best: “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Many major scientific discoveries happened accidentally while the scientist was trying to solve a different problem (funny example: Viagra started from someone trying to make hypertension medication).
    • Getting to know more people — There’s a saying, you should treat the janitor as well as you do a CEO of a company. You never know who has the impact to change your life, so you should treat people well, if not for ethics, but out of pure self-interest.

    • 5 Marketing Lessons From Disruptive Valentine’s Day Campaigns

Do you need an AudioBook Narration, or do you want someone to Narrate your YouTube/podcast script, then please do check out: https://www.linktr.ee/unitynarrator

Marketers will plan their Christmas campaigns months and months in advance, frantically working on stunts a few weeks after the rush of Black Friday.

Yet, there is no rest for the wicked (as they say) are they have to fully immerse themselves in subsequent New Years' campaigns.

Just like that, January is over, and most marketers make a staggering realisation: Valentine’s Day is around the corner and a few heart-shaped graphics are not going to cut it.

According to Snapchat, nearly 7 in 10 Snapchatters around the world plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, and 63% plan on making Snapchat a part of the celebration.

For those celebrating, 82% will spend the day connecting with the most important people in their lives: their current partner (40% in the US and 38% in the UK and Norway), family (24% in Mexico and 20% in the US and Germany), and best friends (32% in Indonesia and 23% in Mexico).

How can you then make your brand part of the conversation? This year, more than ever, consumers are not looking to be patronized.

    • $3,000 for One Share of Stock Could Make You Rich

Do you need an AudioBook Narration, or do you want someone to Narrate your YouTube/podcast script, then please do check out: https://www.linktr.ee/unitynarrator

I’m not a big fan of article headlines that claim doing one thing can make you rich. More often than not, they’re bullshit. However, from time to time we require melodrama in the theater of personal finance. It’s like splashing cold water on our collective face. Sometimes, it’s the only way to get past some of the biggest psychological hurdles investors face.

The Motley Fool recently asked if you should spend $3,000 to buy one share of Amazon.com stock. I wasn’t happy with the article so I decided to write my own.

The main issue I have with the above-linked article is that it ignores the psychological components of investing. They’re particularly important when asking this question. In addition, the article falls back on standard answers that will bore most readers, either because they’ve heard the answers dozens of times before or the answers simply don’t move them to care.

In this article, I hope to move you enough to care.

For the record, as I write this Amazon.com trades for $3,166 and change. So you’d actually get less than one share for your $3,000. This is even better. We don’t feel like we’re getting anything when we “spend” so much to receive so “little.” This is one reason why so many investors find penny stocks attractive:

      You have $100.
If you purchase a $100 stock, you own one share. That doesn’t look or feel very baller.
That same $100 can buy you 1,000 shares of a $0.10 stock. A large position in a low-priced stock not only looks better to certain parts of your brain, it flashes an enticing, even if unlikely risk-reward scenario.
The ill logic behind the thought trajectory penny stocks can take you on seems absurd, until you’re swept up in it. It can wreck otherwise sane and logical individuals.
You look at the $100 stock and imagine your penny stock getting there. If it does, your 1,000 shares are worth $100,000.
You make yourself believe this can happen. That it will happen.

Except it’s probably not going to happen.

Conduct this exercise with $3,000 instead of $100 and it becomes even more interesting. $3,000 gets you 30,000 shares of that $0.10 stock and less than one share of a stock that trades for $3,166.

To be clear, this isn’t about Amazon. You’ll decide for yourself which companies to buy. This is about the overarching issue of holding fractional or a relatively small number of shares in well-established companies versus a huge number of shares in an unproven, speculative name.

You can get lucky and hit a home run with a penny stock. But, again, it’s dangerous territory to enter. Buying penny stocks is little more than a psychological trick we play on ourselves. It’s akin to living beyond our means.

    • Where are all the aliens

Do you need an AudioBook Narration, or do you want someone to Narrate your YouTube/podcast script, then please do check out: https://www.linktr.ee/unitynarrator

ust because it’s astronomical doesn’t make it impossible, look at us after all the impossibilities we faced, I mean we do only see a fraction of the universe to begin with and only started looking recently.

But anyway, if we make it I think technology with ai can make ecosystems like a factory line… and harness star energy and maybe even create a galaxy full of habitable planets out there. This all coming from me, one brain in one lifetime out of a billion possible views on the subject.
Most likely aliens are travelling and it’s their own ai. Searching and studying because of the vastness of the universe.
You only need one or a few to survive past a certain point to cherish life enough to protect it from space debris or planet complication and evolution will to the rest to get a species to the ecosystem cherishing tipping point.
Another point is there are a few species that communicate very well on this planet alone
