The Trump administration seems to be on the back foot after a series of critical messaging errors from both the president and his lieutenants. From housing prices to H-1B visas and naturalization, it seems like the White House has had difficulty communicating with the base. Bog Beef and Maarek of the "Good Ol Boyz Podcast" join me to discuss.

In a recent interview, President Trump defended his earlier claim that bringing 600,000 Chinese college students into the United States would be good for the country. When the interviewer questioned how that aligned with an America First agenda, Trump replied that without those students, “Half the colleges in America would go out of business.” To most Trump supporters, that sounds like a win-win — fewer foreign students and fewer left-wing universities to subsidize. But Trump seemed to view the issue as a business transaction: Closing locations is bad, losing revenue is bad, and the substance of those “economic units” doesn’t really matter. His comments revealed a deeper confusion about what America First really means.

Christianity was once banned in Japan, but now it has disproportionally become the religion of the country's ruling elite. How did a foreign underground faith come to dominate the upper echelon of Japanese society, and what does this tell us about the nature of the ruling class? Writer Crémieux joins me to discuss the cultural and political dynamics of faith in Japan.

The modern obsession with identity becomes more intense by the day. As technology has allowed us to liquify and commodify an increasing number of our inherent traits, people are struggling to find meaning and belonging. Marry Harrington joins me to discuss the need for a more organic understanding of the soul and a reembodying of our daily experience.

Throughout most of human history, people could only dream of having ready access to all of the world’s knowledge. But upon receiving access to the total breadth of human experience, most people immediately started looking for someone to tell them what to think. In a mass society, experts hold the key to interpreting knowledge and shaping public opinion. We are now watching political actors on both the Left and Right go to war with each other over who gets to occupy that position.

Democrats won several important elections yesterday, including Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City and Jay Jones as attorney general of Virginia. The win by Jones is especially disturbing given his propensity for wishing death on his political opponents and their children. We'll be discussing what these results mean for the American Right.

Tucker Carlson's interview of Nick Fuentes has triggered a full-on civil war inside the conservative movement. The fact that the Heritage Foundation has come out and refused to denounce Carlson has dragged one of the most important American conservative institutions into the conflict. Calls for cancellation and charges of fascism are flying freely around a movement that has characterized both tactics as immoral and leftist. The one and only Jason Whitlock joins me to discuss.

With the ongoing government shutdown, funding for critical services is about to lapse. Food stamps could run out this weekend, and the military is being paid by a private billionaire while Congress holds its wages hostage. Historian Alex Petkas of the “Cost of Glory” podcast joins me to discuss what happens to a republic when the grain dole gets cut off and patricians are funding the legions with their own wallets.
