Your book is not just a single product. It is the genesis of an ecosystem.
In this episode Dr. Ruth shares more of her dissertation findings, showing that not more than 10 of the 56 Jamaican authors in her study had sold more than 500 books.
She highlighted the pivot taking place in the publishing industry towards authorpreneurship and why building an ecosystem around your book matters.
She highlighted two companies making the shift: Youpreneur with Chris Ducker and Julie Broad of Book Launchers.
According to Broad, “The authors who commit to building something bigger than a single book are the ones who will dominate the future. The question is, will you be one of them?”
Ruth also shares the latest in her authorpreneurship ventures, highlighting four new books and the work of her newest publishing coach, Colette A. Guthrie.
