In this week’s episode, we continue to look at the results of the 2024 Written Word Media Survey. The results that self-publishing/Independent publishing is no longer a backup plan. It is a viable publishing route and the industry is growing.

The top selling genre is romance, with 22.7% of authors claiming it as their primary genre. Fantasy comes in second at 12.8%, followed by Science Fiction at 7.5%, and Thriller close behind at 7.3%.

Dr. Angela Brooks is the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands. She has been practicing law for over twenty years. She is currently an adjunct Professor at Kingdom Truth University, Jacksonville, Florida, and she is a marriage Christian Counsellor.

Dr. Brooks wears many hats in her community, and she believes in giving back. She is also a Pastor and Public Speaker and soon to be published author of a very touching book, “Aaron: Journey of Love, Loss and Triumph.”

Dr. Brooks and her husband, Desmond, have been married for thirty years. They have six children and have made their home in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
