We had to find a couple guys who love this movie as much as we do and didn’t have to look very far. Turns out the two guys who helped us get this podcast up and running, Luke Pierce and Ben Haley from Works Entertainment know this movie inside and out. We were so excited to talk about the new film released on HULU featuring Andy Samberg and Cristin Miliotti, Palm Springs.

Both Nate Stone and Seggie Isho saw Palm Springs before The Avid Indoorsmen and raved about it so much that it inspired us to watch it and decide to do an episode on it. Having it’s 35th Anniversary is the Steven Spielberg film based on Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel, The Color Purple.

As you will find out by listening to this episode, both of the Avid Indoorsmen had never seen this 11 time Academy Award nominated film, but it happened to be one of our guest’s favorite movies ever, the one and only Emoni Wilkins! We were looking for an excuse to bring Emoni onto the podcast and when she mentioned The Color Purple was a film she adored and we saw it was on Hulu and celebrating an anniversary, it was too good to pass up!

We heard that Disney + was releasing a filmed version of the live theatrical production of Hamilton and we were not throwing away our shot…we had to do it.

Jenika Marion and Neil Ghosh were on the Zoom where it happened, and it was super fun geeking out to this musical theater phenomenon with them. Neil made his AI debut and he fit right in, Jenika has been on so many times and is a fan favorite and always a delight.

The Home Free Merch Man himself, Potatoe aka Nathan Rodes Stone, makes his Avid Indoorsmen debut on the 35th Anniversary of Back To The Future. Everyone who knows Nate knows that he has seen this movie roughly 10 million times, so this was a no-brainer when deciding who we should have on this episode.
