The Avid Indoorsmen

We are back with another Movie Game Night and this time we got the Home Free Founding Fathers: Chris Rupp, Adam Rupp and Matt Atwood. Rob spent many years touring with these guys and we had too much fun reminiscing and playing some movie games. This one got pretty silly, enjoy listening to us have a good time!

Although a little delayed, the Academy Awards are finally here! And that means we have to give our predictions!

Before we make our predictions we do our normal intro where we discuss the last movies we’ve watched, what we’ve been streaming and our favorite recent meals.

We had a great time making our predictions and we had very different answers this year. Excited to see who gets the most correct!

We’re going to play the Grouchies again! We’ve made another wager where whoever gets the most categories correct gets to pick a movie for the loser to watch. Both of us have won once so this is the rubber match!

We are also going to make a wager with our Patrons: Whichever Patron gets the most correct predictions can choose for us to do an episode on a movie of their choosing or they can come onto the podcast and do a Top 5 Draft with us! We will be posting the ballots on Patreon and our social media, just fill out the ballots and send them back to us before the Oscars start! Only our Patrons will be eligible to win the contest so become a Patron if you want to be involved!

Enjoy and Good Luck!

25 years ago Adam Sandler gave us the big-hearted, volatile hockey player turned golfer, Happy Gilmore. To celebrate this momentous occasion we brought back Cash Campbell, who just so happens to be an avid golfer and grew up loving this film as much as us!

We enjoyed hearing Cash’s takes on this golf comedy classic. There are some quotes we use in everyday life and many that are used every time we’re on the golf course. We also have a very special message in the middle of the pod by a very special guest.

This episode ends with a fun game of Before and After and then our Patrons get to hear us fight it out during our Top 5 Favorite Fist Fights In Film Draft.

We hope you enjoy listening to the fun times whether you’re in your shanty or out and about. If you’re out and about, ARE YOU TOO GOOD FOR YOUR HOME?!

Enjoy!

Baby Step to 100 episodes...Baby Step to 100 episodes...Baby Step to 100 episodes. We baby stepped our way to 100 full episodes! We’re so happy we could celebrate this momentous occasion with the classic Bill Murray comedy, What About Bob?!!! Can’t believe it has been in our lives for 30 years now.

Our good friends Nate Stone and Jeffrey East enjoy this film as much as we do and we were happy to laugh along with them as we quoted most of the movie.

We ended this episode with a new game from Buegs called Your Lives In Movies. Then these fellas stuck around and we battled it out during our Top 5 Favorite Movie Boating Scenes.

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.” This iconic quote was said 35 years ago by one of the most recognizable characters in cinematic history, Ferris Bueller. Pretty deep stuff coming from a comedy about a high schooler wanting to skip school with his friends.

We brought back a couple of friends we would have loved to skip school with, Aaron Heatbox Heaton and Max Maxaphone Felsheim. We got some pretty hot takes from these fellers and also laughed so hard we hurt afterwards.

This episode ended with a fun game of Before & After and then our Patrons got to hear us battle it out during our Top 5 Favorite Films with a Character’s Name in the Title Draft.

It’s officially been over a year since Home Free’s last live show, so we thought it would be fun to get the people who make those shows happen all in the same Zoom and play some games together! Welcome to Movie Game Night: Home Free Crew edition! Big thanks to Jenika Marion, Nate Stone, Abe Sword and Chris Worley!

We had so much fun it almost felt like we had just performed a show and were goofing around on the tour bus...except Rob actually stayed up and didn’t go to bed yet.

Enjoy this fun Movie Game Night!!!

Good Morning Zamunda! It only took 33 years but the sequel to Coming To America is finally here and cleverly titled Coming 2 America!

We brought back Seggie Isho from Straight No Chaser since he broke down the original with us and it was fun talking about a brand new movie with him!

This episode ends with a newer game we’re calling Before and After and since there were so many musician cameos in Coming 2 America, we decided to pick our Top 5 Favorite Musician Cameos in Film.

If you haven’t seen either of these films, they’re currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Check them out and come back and listen to these episodes!

Good Morning My Neighbors! We have discussed doing an episode on Coming To America forever since it’s one of our favorite comedies and now seemed like the perfect time since a sequel has finally been released.

Seggie Isho from Straight No Chaser shares our love of this Eddie Murphy classic and we asked him to come back to the pod and give some smokin’ hot takes!

We end this episode with a Starting 5 movie game and our Patrons get to hear us battle it out during our Top 5 Fictional Movie Restaurants Draft.

Fresh off of Daniel Kaluuya’s Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Film Golden Globe win, we talked about Judas and the Black Messiah with our good friend, Neil Ghosh.

We were excited that a new film came out that was worth doing an episode on. JATBM will be up for a bunch of Academy Awards and we highly recommend checking the film out on HBO before listening to this episode. Big thanks to Neil for coming on and sharing his great takes!

We end this episode with an Imitation Game and our Patrons get to hear us battle it out during our Top 5 Undercover Films Draft!
