I wonder if what really makes the "3 wise men" wise is that their only pursuit in the scriptures was Jesus. What's amazing is that when they find him in all the "wrong ways" for a king to found they worship him and give up their wealth for him. When Herod had self interest the wise men had authentic interest in the true King.
