God is the only context in which our being makes since. Its here that the incarnation begins to do its formative work. The profound irony here is that discovering our self is a process of following a God who is self sacrificing. The makeover we so long for is actually who we were really made to be. Nothing else will be sufficiently fulfilling. This is not “self-fulfillment” of coarse as many teach but the discovering of our true self in Christ alongside the discovery of God.

The activity and origin of Satan is one of strange proportion. He certainly does not stand alone in opposition to God but he does at least “standout” as the chief adversary.
