Retired 12-year NFL veteran and former Texans Pro Bowl offensive lineman Wade Smith joins Brandon Scott to discuss what's happening with the Houston Texans in 2020.
They've started off 0-2, but it's the way the team looks that has Smith concerned.
- What's happening with the offensive line?
- Did the Texans adequately replace the elite players they let go?
- What, exactly, is a game plan offense?

B-Block Podcast host Brandon Scott joined Coty Davis and John Hickman this week for the Locked on Texans podcast to discuss an underwhelming start to the 2020 season.
What's going on with this offense? The line, the skill position players, the quarterback, the play calling. None of it looks particularly good right now.
We talked about all of it here.
P.S. Brandon GOES OFF about that failed fourth down play by the Texans from early in the Ravens game. What. The. Hell.

- This is not a super talented team. That much has stood out in the Texans' 0-2 start to the 2020 season.
- Why are the Texans so bad in pass protection if they’ve invested this much in the offensive line, quarterback and skill positions?
- Deshaun Watson’s decision-making and accuracy is a concern right now
- The defense is getting graded on a curve because the offense is so bad and the expectations for the defense are so low.

I don't see it. But we'll talk about what the Texans are doing to respond to their 34-20 loss to the Chiefs to open the season.
Still struggling to get over how badly the Ravens beat Houston last year. It's hard to un-see.
Also, while we're recording, Justin Verlander announces he's having Tommy John surgery. There's also a detail about this that's especially concerning.
The future of Houston pro sports isn't really inspiring right now (though I'm REALLY glad to have sports back).

None of the expensive Texans players actually looked expensive except for David Johnson.
Deshaun Watson has to be better commanding the offense
And say goodbye to the Rockets as contenders

- We haven’t seen the Rockets play defense like this. For the most part, they’ve been non-committal. Not anymore.
- Astros look a lot better now that the pitching has stabilized … health is the issue.
- Everybody looks good at training camp when there's no violence. Let's discuss.

It's confusing how so many are celebrating someone throwing a 96-mph fastball at another person's head. I don't how many signs one would have to steal for that to be OK.

Justin Verlander's absence puts pressure on a pitching staff already stretched thin.
Plus, what to make of Deshaun Watson's comments on his contract situation, comparing it to Patrick Mahomes'.

Sports are coming back, for better or worse, but do you want them?
The Texans rookies report to training camp this week ... I'm excited for it. That's where the pass rush upgrade is coming from
Don't understand why players care so much about Madden ratings? Probably because you don't play Madden.
James Harden wore a funny mask to the bubble and it was handled appropriately ... we laughed!
The Astros are going to be incredible in this 60-game season ... if it happens.
Disrespect for women was on full display last week.

Last we heard, Deshaun Watson wanted a shorter deal. Does that change now?
