The brilliant Emma Dodds joined us for a refreshment and a chat at The Back Bar. We had an incredibly entertaining and insightful conversation with Emma, in particular on her thoughts of her own progress and that of other women in what has been predominantly a male environment.

We also go over some of the roughly 10 million achievements in her career to date, from delivering sausage rolls to the green room and the budding 'bromance' with Stevie Gerrard, working in various cultures around the world and of course most recently her insight in the revival of Rangers. 

There's also the return of Heroes & Zeros (surely Mini can get a win this time?!) and Emma gets put through her paces in the speed round!

The latest guest to The Back Bar is all American hero, Nate Boyer. We could have spent hours talking to him, and only really scratched the surface of his incredible and inspiring life story. We hear about his time volunteering in Sudan, which was followed by distinguished military service as a Green Beret. 

We then got into what it's like to follow that with moving into student life in your late 20s, making it as a Texas Longhorn walk-on starter, then becoming the oldest NFL rookie in the Super Bowl era! Although his influence in the NFL is more widely seen in the results of his conversation with Colin Kaepernick.

Also get the lowdown on the work of his Merging Vets & Players Foundation and building his acting/directing career in the bright lights of Hollywood! 

It was genuinely a privilege for us to speak to him, he's a top guy and has earned 3 new man crushes! 

As we hit the half-dozen mark (who had us not making it past one?)  we're joined by a certified legend in former England International and London Irish record holder, Topsy Ojo. 

Plenty of laughs in this one, as questions are raised on the accuracy of Wikipedia's try count and hearing what it's like to intercept the great Dan Carter for a length of the pitch try on your international debut. We hear about the rare professional breed of a one club man and setting perhaps unbreakable records as a career legacy. 

Also, the challenge is laid down as we call out Topsy's media colleague, Bryan Habana, to see who's the king of the retired speedsters. Keep your eyes peeled as me do our best to try bring this into reality, maybe in post-covid times though....

Later on we learn about Skywalker's irrational dislike of The Rock and find out if Mini can break his Heroes and Zeros losing streak?! 

Absolutely delighted to have the legend of Scottish media and fitba, Tam Cowan, on shooting the shit with the guys this week. It's a hugely entertaining and interesting weave through different aspects of Tam's career and hearing about the characters he's met along the way, some real belly laughs were had on this one! We also put to bed any speculation on who he really supports (spoiler it's definitely Motherwell)....

We also had our first "hosts hang out" answering some questions from social media, whilst giving each other a hard time....hopefully not denting each others egos too much in the process, and I'm sure we'll still be back for more banter at the Back Bar soon!

The owner of Archangel 1608 tattoo studio, David "Tattoo Dave" McKinlay calls in to join us at the Back Bar this week, and it's a hilarious conversation. We covered everything from a spat with Tam Cowan, to reality tv shows, his claim to the WWE world title and of course his attempts at securing a sponsorship deal (or even just a festive bake) from Greggs.
