An absolute belter of an episode with Dr.Dave Camilleri, a researcher out of the University of Melbourne. A lifelong BMXer, Dr.Camilleri has spent the last few years studying the positive effects of BMX and its relationship to higher levels of creativity and mental health outcomes, releasing the "BMX For Life" Project with University of Melbourne: https://education.unimelb.edu.au/bmx-for-life
His latest research paper is focused specifically on trail building! "Exploring Creativity in BMX Trail Construction - Stack, Slap, Repeat" (https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/27538699241273740) which is discussed at length here.
A massive episode and I learnt a lot and I'm sure you will too.

I had to have Dave on again. Dave Paterson, We Make Things' (the parent company of Wethepeople, eclat, Radio Bikes and many other brands) BMX product manager.
I needed to take a deep dive into BMX geometry, the 22 inch BMX, part creation and more. Dave is extremely knowledgeable in all things BMX products and to be able to talk with him about specific things and share in new ideas in a public domain like this podcast was awesome.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on any of the topics on this, or any episode.

Beatrice Trang and Angie Marino have both been a staple part of the BMX world for decades, finding their own way contribute to the BMX community through their own individual pursuits.
They joined forces in 2019 to form the Bloom BMX; a website and brand that focuses on promoting women's BMX.
I was stoked to speak with them about everything BMX, where they came from to get to the Bloom and what they see for the future of women's BMX.

Episode 47: Jason Watts has been riding for Backbone for 10 years and has been a paid professional BMX rider for the same length time. His riding speaks volumes, but he is also deeply involved with the BMX industry, being team manager for Volume and Demolition, co-founding Fast and Loose BMX, as well as building skateparks across the world for BMX events through his ramp building company Universal Ramps.
I got to sit down and pick his brain on all the things he has been up to, what he thinks it takes to be a sponsored BMX rider in 2024 and the state of the BMX industry.
I always love speaking with Jason about everything and I know you'll enjoy this episode. We'd love to hear your thoughts on any of the topics on this, or any episode.
