Sex Pistols bassist, Sid Vicious, woke up from a narcotic haze in his Chelsea Hotel room, on the morning of October 12, 1978. He discovered his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, laying lifeless in a pool of her own blood. She had been stabbed in the abdomen and bled to death. Immediately, Sid blamed himself.. Police found him in the hotel hallway muttering "I Killed Nancy". Sid admitted to killing Nancy, but recanted his story. Rather than the NYPD investigating the murder, they were set on Vicious. In February 1979, after being released on bail, Sid Vicious died of a deadly heroin overdose. The death of Sid closed the case on Nancy's murder........But did he do it?...........

On December 23, 2002, Laci Peterson, who was 7 months pregnant at the time, was reported missing by her step father. The last person to see Laci alive was her husband, Scott Peterson. Scott told police that he had gone fishing and saw Laci before he left that morning. The day before, Scott had told Laci's sister, Amy, that he was going golfing the next day, not fishing. Police, Family, Friends, and volunteers worked round the clock to gather any information regarding Laci's disappearance. On April 13, 2003, a couple found a male fetus in a marshy area of the San Francisco Bay near Berkeley, CA. Five days later, on April 18th, the decomposing body of a female was found on a rocky shore, one mile from where the fetus was found. The body was decapitated, had no arms, barely had legs, and was missing all internal organs. DNA confirmed it was the body of Laci Peterson. Scott was arrested the same day in La Jolla, CA, near the Mexican boarder. His hair was dyed blonde, and he had survival equipment stocked up in his car. He was charged with first and second degree murder. He was found guilty and sentenced to death in November 2004. As of 2021, he is awaiting retrial to lower his conviction to life in prison without parole.

Today, I'll be talking about the deadliest terrorist act in human history, 9/11. 20 years ago, four planes were hijacked by 19 terrorists. American Airlines Flight 11 was flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. United Airlines Flight 175 was flown in the South Tower of the World Trade Center. American Airlines Flight 77 was flown into the west side of the Pentagon in Washington D.C. United Airlines Flight 93 was on course to Washington D.C., when several passengers overtook the cockpit of the plane. Unfortunately, the plane crashed into the ground near Shanksville, PA, killing all onboard. A total of 2,996 people died on September 11, 2001. Thousands more were injured and many have face life threatening illnesses due to the toxic debris that fell from the World Trade Center.

Between June 22 and 24, 2007, WWE Superstar Chris Benoit murdered his wife, Nancy and their seven year old son, Daniel at their home in Fayetteville, Georgia. On the evening of June 24, Chris committed suicide by hanging himself with his workout equipment in the garage. All three bodies were discovered on the evening of June 25, 2007. After getting word of the Benoit family's deaths, the WWE canceled their scheduled Monday Night Raw event and created a three hour tribute to Chris Benoit. The following day, after more evidence had been collected, the WWE was informed that Chris killed Nancy and Daniel, before killing himself. Since then, the WWE has erased Chris Benoit from their history. His name is not mentioned and you can't find any videos of him on their database. Severe CTE and roid rage has been labeled as the motive for the event.

On June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown- Simpson and Ron Goldman were found murdered in front of Brown's condo. They had several stab wounds. Brown's ex husband, NFL Hall of Famer OJ Simpson, was named a suspect in the days following the murders. Simpson was physically abusive to Brown during their marriage. Simpson was set to turn himself in, but he led police on a low speed highway chase across Los Angeles. The evidence was stacked against Simpson, yet, on October 3, 1995, after several months of trial, OJ Simpson was acquitted of two counts of murder. The trial and verdict divided races across the United States

Between 2002 and 2004. Ariel Castro kidnapped three girls, Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, and held them captive in his home in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood. He physically, mentally, emotionally, and sexually abused the girls. Castro impregnated both Knight and Berry. Over the years, Castro would attend public vigils for the girls and even join the search parties. On May 6, 2013, Castro left the home, accidentally leaving one of the doors unlocked. Berry tried to escape but couldn't get the bolted door open. She yelled for help. Neighbors rushed to help, getting her out of the basement and called 911. All three girls were rescued after 11 years of torture. Castro was arrested and charged with 977 counts. He was sentenced to a life sentence for each count plus 1,000 years. A month into is sentence, Ariel Castro was found hanging in his cell.

In the early hours of June 12, 2016, Omar Mateen entered Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. In the span of 3 hours, he took the lives in 49 others. Pulse, a gay nightclub, was hosting their weekly "Latin Night". Mateen was shot and killed while in a shootout with Police. This is the second deadliest shooting by a single shooter in US History, behind the 2017 Las Vegas Strip Shooting. To this day, Mateen's exact motive is unclear. During the assault, he called 911 and claimed the attack was in retaliation for the US dropping bombs on Iraq and Syria. The FBI does not believe he was radicalized. Some surviving patrons and former classmates claimed Mateen was a closeted homosexual. We will never know the exact motive.

On June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson was found unresponsive in his bedroom by his in-house doctor, Conrad Murray. It was about 40 minutes before security made the 911 call. Jackson was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead at 2:26pm (PDT). He was 50 years old. In the months leading up to his death, Jackson was rehearsing daily for his upcoming "This Is It" tour, that was scheduled to start on July 8 in London. In late July, the medical examiner ruled Jackson's death a homicide and the LAPD eventually named Murray as the suspect. On August 28, the LA County Coroner released the toxicology report, declaring that Jackson died of acute Propofol intoxication. Several other prescription drugs were found in Jackson's system. Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter for his malpractice and carelessness.

The bodies of Marshall Applewhite and 38 other members of Heaven's Gate were found on March 26, 1997 in Rancho Santa Fe, California. It was an obvious mass suicide. Applewhite struggled with his sexuality his entire life. Born into a highly religious family, Applewhite denounced his homosexuality. Some sociologists believe that his insecurities led to the creation of Heaven's Gate and the choice of suicide at the end.
