This week our guest is Dr. Fabrizio Didonna, an internationally known Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Didonna is a Professor at the Institute for Lifelong Learning of the University of Barcelona, Visiting Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Scientific Director of the One-Year Master Program in Mindfulness-Based Therapy in Italy. He is the developer of the therapeutic model, and author of the related manual, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. He has been practicing and teaching meditation for many years and gives workshops and training retreats worldwide.

This week we are joined by Kristie Poole, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo. She completed her PhD in Developmental Psychology in 2020 and her MSc in Health Research Methodology in 2016, both at McMaster University. Kristie studies children's socio-emotional development, with a particular focus on the origins and outcomes of temperamental shyness.

She is the Director of the Opioid Laboratory in the Division on Substance Use Disorders, and her current research focus is on the clinical testing of medications for treating opioid use disorder, methods to maximize the use of naloxone by opioid users, and evaluations of the comparative abuse liability of prescribed pain medications.
