Happy Wednesday Baysiders! We are back this week to discuss now-redundant jobs in which we no longer need the personal touch to execute.
We weigh the pros and cons of supermarket self-check outs, banking transactions, service stations and car washes. And, in true Kate and Maree fashion, we get a little side tracked along the way.
Return next week for another Bayside Bubble. Until then, reach out on our Instagram or Facebook pages.
Thank you to our great sponsors, Buxton Real Estate and Chisolm Constructions who help us continue to bring you content from the community.
Kate and Maree both return to the studio this week, with another Bayside Banter. Today’s discussion: Billillia Mansion on Halifax Street in Brighton.
We discuss the developing conservation plans underway by the Bayside City Council and ponder the site for a potential future ‘podcast in person’ event.
We explore the rich history of the site and look at the exciting upcoming events.
To get involved in the future of Billilla Mansion have your say here.

Thank you to our great sponsors, Buxton Real Estate and Chisholm Constructions for their contributions to the show.
We will catch you next week with another Bayside Banter!
Welcome back to the Bayside Bubble for what is our first interview of the new year. Today, Maree flys solo as Kate escapes up the coast on holiday.
We are joined by Bruce Green, a man who lives and breathes golf, not having lived too far from the Royal Melbourne Golf Course in his lifetime.
Together, we discuss the inclusivity and family feel of the sport and the club, and hear about growing up on a Bayside dairy farm after the Great Depression.
Bruce shares some stories as a young caddy and teacher with some of the best and worst shots he’s witnessed.
Thank you to Bruce for sharing with us and thank you as always to our sponsors, Buxton Real Estate and Chisholm Constructions.
For updates and more info on Bayside Bubble episodes, you can find us on Facebook and Instagram.
Summer holidays are over and it’s time to get back to school the studio.
Bayside Banter kicks off with a new rail trail adventure from our recent weekender to Yea where we stayed at the beautiful Peppercorn Hotel.
We marvel at the ease of Kate’s new Buzz Rack from 99 Bikes (unsponsored) and discuss our journey up steep inclines and down 200m tunnels. We find a new podcast guest along the way and stop in to the stunning Innocent Bystander in the Yarra Valley for some lunch and a vino, of course.
We are terribly excited to get back into regular episodes so keep an eye out on our Instagram and Facebook for a sneak peak of what’s to come.
Thank you to our incredible sponsors, Buxton Real Estate and Chisolm Constructions for supporting the Bayside Bubble podcast.
Welcome back Baysiders! It’s time for another Wednesday Banter session.
On today’s episode we discuss (vent about) some of the more poorly made items in life. We talk jar lids, microwave settings and USB heads, and attempt to ponder the decision making behind these more-difficult-than-they-need-to-be items.
Join us next week for a special episode in the lead up to Christmas. In the mean time come say hi on our Instagram or Facebook page.
Thank you to our incredible sponsors, Buxton Real Estate and Chisolm Constructions for supporting the Bayside Bubble podcast.
Welcome back to the Bayside Bubble!
On this weeks episode Deb Brook, president of the Bayside Community Emergency Relief Charity, joins us to share with us some of the incredible work that they having been doing over the past two years since launch.
Founded in the midst of the January 2020 bush fires, Deb and her team have grown this charity to provide aid relief for emergency floods, storms and fires, as well as providing on-going support for aged care, families experiencing domestic violence, and homelessness.
Deb discusses running a 100% volunteer run charity and we learn more about the amazing effort behind designing and putting together relief packs for those in need.
We hear about the process leading up to Christmas and what we in the community can do to help. If you can help follow the link to be taken to the donation portal. Welcome back Baysiders!
We come to you with another bike-based story time episode that sees us venturing outside of our Bayside Bubble and up to Heathcote where we spent a very interesting few days at the Shiraz Republic and tackled the O’Keefe Rail Trail. We encounter unique accomodation, bicycle mishaps, fading daylight and mobs of kangaroos. And that’s just the first day!
Come and say hi on our social platforms on Instagram and Facebook, and check back in with us for another Bayside Bubble episode next Wednesday.
Thank you to our incredible sponsors, Buxton Real Estate and Chisolm Constructions for their contributions to the podcast.
Happy Wednesday Baysiders!
Councillor Laurie Evans OAM returns to the studio with us this week to catch us up on what has been happening over lockdown, as well as share how he feels about coming to the end of his term as Mayor.
We hear what council has planned in the lead up to Christmas, and discuss why we think Bayside has been leading the charge in double vaccination rates in the state.
Laurie Evans is a pleasure to have back in our studio and we look forward to seeing what he and the Bayside City Council have in store for the community in our reentrance into normal life.

And we’re back!
After too long just the two of us, the Bayside Bubble returns with our first returning guest in the studio. Buxton Real Estate Agent, Mark Earle joins us for a much needed update on the Bayside housing market in this post-lockdown climate.
We discuss how being stuck in our homes for two years has shaped the way we view our homes as well as hearing about how virtual real estate operated throughout this time.
Mark gives us a run down on the current rental vs. sales market and explains the pent up demand for properties in and around Bayside.
We couldn’t be more pleased to return to our regular Bayside Bubble schedule. For more news and updates about upcoming episodes follow us on Instagram or Facebook.
A big thank you to our sponsors, Buxton Real Estate and Chisolm Constructions for continuing to support us before, during and post lockdowns.
