QUOTES AND MESSAGES BY JADE:
1. Make mental health your #1 priority
2. Try to create a new routine, which fits this difficult and new situations
3. Get a journal or find a friend to whom you can write about how you feel. Often writing things down can really release some stress
4. If the constant reminder of covid is triggering you, try to avoid social media and news websites as much as possible
5. Try to figure out which things make you happy (even for a small moment), like working out, drawing, talking to friends or any other hobbies.
6. Make sure to get some movement in everyday, moving your body/working out increases endorphins, dopamine and adrenaline, which make you feel good.
7. Don’t be (too) hard on yourself
8. Get enough sleep (also will do an episode on that after the Halloween episode)
9. Get yourself some vitamin D
10. Try not to blame/judge others for the way they deal with the situation: everyone has their way of dealing with this
11. Focus on what you do have, instead of what you don’t have
"Life is an adventure, it's up to us to create it and follow our own paths. So why spend your life being negative? It’s pointless to sit around and drown in self-pity. Happiness is up to you, you are the only one who can control it."
""There is always light at the end of the tunnel" but to get to the end, you should have lights inside the tunnel so you know where you are heading. Just like in life, you don’t blindly walk towards something - you need light to pave your way. So, metaphorically, there should be candles, even if they are small, to help lead you to the end. Small positive changes will be the lights which will keep you going forward."
