  • be sara | strength in being different

Sara Breen (she/her) is an early education teacher based in Massachusetts (and one of my closest pals). After receiving her degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Sara went on to discover her passion for early childhood education through teaching preschool. Inspired by the adversity she faced as a kid due to her learning disabilities, Sara's experience now motivates her to create a safe and accepting space for her students. When she’s not discussing mental health or advocating for the latest social justice issue, you can find Sara playing with her new kittens Doc and Virgil, hanging out with her partner Ian or perfecting her curly hair with the curly girl method.

  • be elizabeth | embracing transition to find the good life

Elizabeth Su (she/her) is a writer, mental health educator, and the founder of Monday Vibes, a personal growth newsletter and network for women. She has a master’s in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University with a concentration in spirituality and mind-body practices and an advanced certification in Sexuality, Women, and Gender. While at Columbia, her work around burnout and perfectionism in corporate women and the science of happiness was given the honor of "Distinction in Research and Creative Work." She spent nearly a decade working in Silicon Valley and has since dedicated her career to empowering women by teaching them about emotional and spiritual wellness. When she’s not writing (or trying to smash the patriarchy), you can find her dancing in the kitchen, binge-watching Schitt’s Creek, or reading the latest from her (s)hero Brené Brown. Her husband Andrew and she recently moved out of their one-bedroom New York City apartment to live on the road, where she’s currently embracing life as a recovering perfectionist.

  • be ari | finding joy starts with paying attention

Arianna de la Cruz (she/her) is our go-to girl when it comes to talking about self-improvement. After spending her life growing up in Costa Rica, Ari got her BM in Violin Performance from NYU. Since Fall 2019, Ari has been creating her spin-off of a #trend called the Joy Report, where she shares the little joys that come from paying attention and cultivating gratitude in her daily life. In this episode, we dive more into why Ari started filming The Joy Report, why she's decided to not pursue performance as a career, how she's keeping herself "uncomfortable" to cope with her anxiety, and what it really means to pay attention.

  • be angi | resilience carries us through

Today we have a very special guest to launch our podcast- our friend Angi. Angi Smolik (they/them) is one of the most resilient people we have ever met. They are as hilarious as they are kind, and on top of it all, they're a total badass. Honestly, we can't think of a better person to teach you more about resilience! In this episode, we dive into Angi's PTSD diagnosis, how we told their abusive ex-husband that they want a divorce, and what's giving them hope. I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire us.
