An Elementary school shooting took place on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 in UVALDE, TX an 18 year old reportedly took 18 lives. When I heard the terrible news, I was deeply saddened and speechless. I had no words of my own, so I opened social media to see what others had to say. All I could see was “My Thoughts & Prayers are with the families involved.”

Yes, Thoughts & Prayers are great, but the reality is those kids aren’t going home to their parents. We need an actual plan to stop evil crimes like this from happening in the United States Of America.

In the words of Emmanuel Acho,“Thoughts & Prayers” are meaningful, but remember faith without works is dead.

Yo! What’s Good! Life? Family? You? Aight cool. You probably don’t know who I am, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Torique Farrington, I’m 17 years old and I like to have conversations. I guess you can call me a conversationalist. Whatever that means. I just want to inspire and remind you and others to be yourselves and value who you are at your core, that’s why The Be Yo’self Podcast exist.

Welp! I caught covid, and I most definitely thought I was going to die. Not because how I felt, but because how the government said I would feel once I contracted Covid. Oh Yeah! And my mommy got it to, so I guess you can say I wasn’t all alone. We were sick, We had fun together and now we’re good. Thank You God! We collect limiting beliefs by holding onto the words spoken over us or even spoken by us implying that we can’t or will never do something.
