  • The Classic Brew: NBA and Penny Farthing Bikes on The Beer Engine

Yehoooooo, welcome to the Beer Engine, the podcast where we talk about everything from the latest happenings in the NBA to the good ol' days of penny farthing bikes. Today we're gonna be talking about how modern bikes just ain't cuttin' it compared to those classic penny farthing's.

Now I ain't sayin' these newfangled bikes ain't got their perks, but let me tell ya, there's just something about the simplicity and stability of a penny farthing that can't be beat.

But let's not forget about the NBA! Ain't it somethin' to see LeBron James still dominate the court at his age? That man is a basketball god, I tell ya what. And what about Steph Curry and the Warriors? They're looking pretty good this season.

Now, I know some folks might be thinkin', "Moe, what do the NBA and penny farthing bikes have in common?" Well, let me tell ya, it's all about tradition and keeping things classic.

Just like how the NBA has been around for over 80 years and has some of the greatest players to ever grace the court, the penny farthing has been around for over a century and was the bicycle of choice back in the day.

So next time you're out riding your modern bike, just remember the stability and style of those classic penny farthing's. And while you're at it, grab a cold one and catch up on the latest in the NBA.

That's all for today folks, see ya next time on the Beer Engine. Cheers!

  • Pizza Length Maximization

Folks, let me tell you, I've had a great time tonight with my beer buddies. We're talking about the most important things in life - beer, pizza, and movies! First, we watched the fantastic show, Moulin Rouge. Trust me, it's a mediocre show, very big and beautiful. Then, we tried a bad pilsner. It was terrible, very bad, sad. But don't worry, because we also tried an Italian pilsner that was fantastic, very big league! It was so good, folks, I mean it. And finally, we played a German beer game, which was a lot of fun. Believe me, it was the best beer experience you can imagine. So, grab your beers, folks, and tune in for more!

  • A Terrific Podcast for True Beer Lovers - Believe Me, It's HUGE

Let me tell you, folks, The Beer Engine is a fantastic podcast. Griff and Tony, they're great guys, they know their beer. And let me tell you, that Philly cheesesteak they talked about on the show, it was a disaster. Two hours for delivery? Can you believe it? Sad! But you know what, that's not even the best part of the show. The real winner is Tony's side project beer. It's going to be huge, believe me. And that game they play, Untrapped, it's a tournament of flagship beers. It's tremendous, just tremendous. I give The Beer Engine a solid 10 out of 10. A real winner.

We'll talk about a parody site that we came across that we found to be pretty lame, and why you should probably avoid it. That's all for this episode of The Beer Engine. Thanks for tuning in, and don't forget to check out our website for more information on the beers we discussed. Cheers!

  • The Drippy Beer Awards 2023

Welcome to the Drippy Beer Awards, where we honor the best and brightest in the world of craft beer.

In this episode, we'll be announcing the winners in categories such as Best IPA, Best Sour Ale, Best Stout, and more. We'll also be tasting some of the winning beers and sharing our thoughts on them.

But first, let's go over the criteria for selecting the winners. Our panel of expert judges tasted hundreds of beers from breweries all around the world and evaluated them based on factors such as taste, aroma, appearance, and overall quality.

Without further ado, let's get to the awards!

Best IPA: The winner in this category is the "Citra Bomb" from Hop Bomb Brewery. This juicy IPA is loaded with Citra hops and has a strong citrus aroma and flavor.

Best Sour Ale: The winner in this category is the "Tart Cherry Gose" from Sourpuss Brewery. This refreshing gose is brewed with tart cherries and has a sour and tangy taste that's balanced out by a hint of salt.

Best Stout: The winner in this category is the "Imperial Russian Stout" from Darkness Brewery. This rich and complex stout has flavors of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit, and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel.

And those are just a few of the winners. We'll be announcing the rest of the awards and sharing our thoughts on the winning beers throughout the episode, so be sure to stick around.

Thanks for joining us for the Drippy Beer Awards. We hope you enjoyed the show and found some new beers to try. Cheers!

  • A Very Drippy Holiday

Hi omg I almost forgot to do the show notes! OK so today the most important thing we did was decide the Drippy categories for next week's big show. It's really a big deal and we thought so hard about it. We dwelled on it for weeks and finally came up with some amazing categories like 'Best Stout" or whatever. You're welcome! Also some great news from Brewdog, some amazing lagers probably, and a game about fruit beer that leaves Tony gasping for air at the bottom of a well. OK that's enough.

    So long!!

  • A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe!

Hohohohohoho! It's me Santa and I'm busy dammit. I don't have time to write a lot of show notes so I'm just gonna tell you that these two losers are on the naughty list 😜. They are getting nothing but coal and old porno for Christmas. Get this, all they did today was go on and on about whatever and then did a game about Hallmark movies. What? It's all true, they are nasty boys and they are in big trouble. Welp, it's time to get back on my sleigh, I'm trying to get Blixten or whatever to do some of the work so I can take Mrs. Claus into the sleigh's sleeping quarters and get her into her big dog costume because that shit is hot! Alright see ya.

  • Arizona’s Favorite Shower

HELLO. I am so tired. This is what I get for attempting to hang out three days in a row and sleep in a Homewood Suites. It’s just not a good idea. Because I have the heart of a champion, I mustered up the ability to sit down and talk for a full hour or two so, I’m pretty tough! What did we do today uhhh, well we went over some very important state-by-state numbers that you are really going to want to hear. I think there was some stuff about soccer or whatever, and maybe some news about beer made with toast or something? Then we did a french toast related game because “French” and “toast” were two words I thought of when planning out this show. Alright bye.

  • Dogs of Brew, the Show

Uhhhh that’s right. That just happened! A show! All I can think about is how funny the name of the game that we played on this show was. It is hilarious, and it’s really clever and you guys are going to love it. We talked a lot of various Dog like beer outfits here on this show, there was some spiked coconut water that I just have my heart set on, as well as some great rundowns of Qatar, the Bulls, Alex Jones and maybe even some talk about this music producer guy from Chicago. What else, what else, what else can we riff on? I dunno, I think I’m just over it now. Check out Ancient Aliens on History Channel….or TLC. I’m not sure. Alright see ya!
