Well, this was an honor.  I got the opportunity to speak with Dr. Keith Villa, creator of Blue Moon and brewmaster at MillerCoors for 32 years.  Now, he's launched Ceria Brewing and he's on a new mission to disrupt the industry AGAIN by producing an AF (Alcohol-Free) "beer" infused with THC.  

We take a trip down memory lane - from Colorado to Brussels and back. We discuss the Blue Moon story, the nuances of NA and AF beer and legalities of producing a THC beer as well as the extraction of THC and how he gets it into the can.

Work hard. Play hard. Drink local. That's what you get when you visit the recent winners of "Best New PA Brewery in PA - 2021" - Rick, Eric and Jay Von Czoernig - the brothers and owners of Von C Brewing in Norristown PA. 

If you build it, they will come.  We take a walk down memory lane and travel back to the 1800's when Christian Schmidt founded Schmidt’s Brewery in Philadelphia. Their father, uncles, and grandfather, and so on, were all Master Brewers and they've resurrected some of the old recipes.  We hear stories of folks who've brought by memorabilia and told their nostalgic memories of Schmidt's.

It took a solid business plan and perserverence to push through the COVID hiccups to create a great space that you can visit today.  Their taproom features tons of natural light, murals and is just a terrific space to enjoy some tasty suds. They've got a rustic industrial vibe, with very high, open ceilings, and provides a great view of the brewhouse.
