The fight is not over. However, it was another hard night for progressives. Conservative Democrat Joe Biden wins big on Super Tuesday 2. What does this mean for the primaries? What does this mean for the progressive movement going forward?

Victory for Biden means a certain victory for Trump. No matter how many progressives get in line to support Biden if he ultimately wins the primaries, Biden is the perfect candidate to lose to Trump. Here's why.

I'm not sure I've ever experienced a virus that was so precisely tuned to bring our consumer economy to its knees. Wall Street suspended trading today for 15 minutes because of the markets opening at a 7% decline. This is one of the worst days since the 2008 recession. And it's only getting worse due to all of the businesses having to adjust or close due to Coronavirus.

Biden is getting mad love from the older, conservative Black community. But let's unpack this a bit more than we did last week.

Mayor Pete has dropped out of the race just before Super Tuesday. This move is obviously to help the moderate vote solidify around Joe Biden. Regardless, having Pete out is a win because of what Pete stood for -- more precisely, because of what Pete stood against.

Democrats are putting their hopes in a man whose biggest selling point is "No We Can't." Joe Biden does not have the capacity to build the movement necessary to stop Donald Trump.

There are class divisions in the Black community. Not everyone voting for Biden or Bloomberg are "low info voters." Stop with that lazy, racist trope. Up your class analysis: bourgeois black people have solidarity with bourgeois white people.
