Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss what is wrong with the Panthers and Dolphins.

The Jacksonville Jaguars overcame a weather delay to defeat the Carolina Panthers 26-10 over the weekend. Panthers QB Bryce Young struggled with multiple turnovers and poor execution throughout. Did Carolina do anything right in their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars over the weekend?

The Indianapolis Colts made a major statement with a 33-8 rout of the Miami Dolphins, snapping a decade-long Week 1 losing streak.  The Colts’ defense picked off Tua Tagovailoa twice and recorded three sacks. • Did The Bills Fan Really Apologize To Lamar Jackson? + Why Are The Miami Dolphins So Pitiful?

Reese, Pam and Alex discuss Tua Tagovailoa, Mike McDaniel, the Miami Dolphins and video of a man apologizing to Lamar Jackson.

During Sunday night’s thrilling Week 1 matchup between the Ravens and Bills, Lamar Jackson was involved in a heated incident with a Bills fan that drew national attention. After a touchdown celebration in the third quarter, Jackson and teammate DeAndre Hopkins were walking near the end zone when a fan in a red Bills jersey reached over the barrier and slapped both players on their helmets. In response, Jackson shoved the fan, who fell backward into the stands. The fan was immediately ejected from the stadium and has since been indefinitely banned from all NFL venues. Recently, a video came out of a man apologizing to Jackson and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Is it really the fan or just a skit?

  • J.J. McCarthy Rallies Vikings to Thrilling 27–24 Comeback Over Bears in NFL Debut

Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss the Vikings win over the Bears last night.

The Minnesota Vikings pulled off a dramatic 27-24 comeback win over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football last night, led by rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy in his NFL debut. Things started rough for McCarthy, who threw a costly pick-6 in the third quarter that gave the Bears a 17-6 lead, but the rookie bounced back in a big way, leading a fourth-quarter surge that included two passing touchdowns and a 14-yard rushing score. He finished the night completing 13 of 20 passes for 143 yards, two TDs through the air, one on the ground, and one interception.

Minnesota’s defense also stepped up in crunch time, making six straight third-down stops and holding off a late Chicago push. The Bears, led by 2024 No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams, showed promise early. Williams threw for 210 yards and a touchdown while adding another score on the ground. But Chicago unraveled late with costly penalties, clock-management issues, and missed field goals.

McCarthy’s poise in the fourth quarter and Minnesota’s defensive grit stole the show, sealing a wild Week 1 victory and setting the tone for what could be an exciting season in the NFC North. How did McCarthy look in his debut?

  • Bill Belichick Bans Patriots Scouts from UNC Practices Over “Unwelcome” Treatment, Sparking Backlash

Reese, Kmac, Pam and Ales discuss

Bill Belichick, now the head coach at the University of North Carolina, has banned New England Patriots scouts from attending UNC football practices. The decision stems from what Belichick perceives as poor treatment from the Patriots organization following his departure. He addressed the issue bluntly, saying, “It’s clear that I’m not welcome there around their facility, so they’re not welcome at ours. Pretty simple.”

According to reports, UNC general manager Michael Lombardi and pro liaison Frantzy Jourdain informed Patriots personnel in August that their scouts would no longer have access to practices, although they can still request game film and other information. The move has drawn criticism from analysts and media, who argue that the decision could hurt UNC’s players by limiting their exposure to NFL scouts. Some have even called the ban petty and self-sabotaging, pointing out the potential long-term impact on the program’s draft prospects. Is Belichick right too ban Patriots scouts or is it Belichick just being petty?

Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex recap NFL action from this weekend.

Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season delivered a thrilling mix of comebacks, dominant performances, and emotional moments. The Buffalo Bills pulled off a stunning 41-40 comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens last night. Trailing by 15 points with under four minutes remaining, Buffalo scored 16 unanswered points to steal the victory at Orchard Park. Kicker Matt Prater drilled a game-winning 32-yard field goal as time expired. Quarterback Josh Allen was sharp, completing 33 of 46 passes for 394 yards and two passing touchdowns, and adding two rushing touchdowns, setting a franchise record for rushing TDs by a QB. Based on last night's results, your views on which player changed: Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen?

The Indianapolis Colts made a major statement with a 33-8 rout of the Miami Dolphins, snapping a decade-long Week 1 losing streak. Quarterback Daniel Jones impressed with 257 passing yards and three total touchdowns, scoring on every offensive possession. Rookie tight end Tyler Warren added 76 receiving yards, while the Colts’ defense picked off Tua Tagovailoa twice and recorded three sacks. In Denver, the Broncos leaned on their defense to secure a 20-12 win over the Tennessee Titans. Despite three turnovers from quarterback Bo Nix, a critical 50-yard run from rookie RJ Harvey set up the go-ahead score by JK Dobbins, and the defense held the Titans to just 135 total yards.

Meanwhile, Geno Smith shined in his Las Vegas Raiders debut, throwing for 366 yards in a 20–13 victory over the New England Patriots. The Washington Commanders also started strong with a 21-6 win over the New York Giants, led by second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 301 total yards and a touchdown.

  • What Happened In College Football This Weekend?

Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss weekend action in college football.

The NC State Wolfpack secured a 35-31 comeback victory over Virginia, sealed by a last-minute end-zone interception by linebacker Cian Slone. The offense leaned heavily on the ground, as both CJ Bailey and Hollywood Smothers rushed for two touchdowns each. Smothers impressed with 140 rushing yards, highlighting NC State’s dominance on the ground.

Duke suffered a harsh 45-19 loss at home to No. 11 Illinois. The Blue Devils committed five turnovers, including a muffed punt and a fumble near the red zone. Highlighting the Duke offense, quarterback Darian Mensah threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to counteract the penalties and errors that swung momentum definitively toward Illinois.

North Carolina, under new head coach Bill Belichick, picked up his first collegiate win with a 20-3 victory over Charlotte. The defense was dominant holding the 49ers to just 21 rushing yards and preventing a touchdown. Offensively, UNC struck early with a quick touchdown pass from Gio Lopez to Chris Culliver, and later added rushing scores from Davion Gause. This followed a rough opener against TCU, where UNC was overwhelmed in a 48-14 loss.

The Alabama Crimson Tide won this past weekend in dominant fashion. Alabama shut out Louisiana–Monroe (ULM) with an overwhelming 73-0 victory at home. Is Alabama football "back"? Is Duke in trouble?

  • NFL: What Are Three Takeaways From Week 1?

Reese, Pam and Alex discuss their 3 takeaways from Week 1 action in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers made his debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend, leading a dramatic 34–32 comeback win over his former team, the New York Jets. Rodgers threw four touchdown passes and completed 22 of 30 passes for 244 yards. With just over a minute remaining, Chris Boswell nailed a franchise-record 60-yard field goal to seal the victory.

At Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers kicked off their season with a 27-13 win over the Detroit Lions. Jordan Love led the charge with two first-half touchdown passes, while Green Bay’s defense stifled Detroit, holding them to just three points in the opening two quarters. Micah Parsons also made his Packers debut and played well.

The Jacksonville Jaguars overcame a weather delay to defeat the Carolina Panthers 26–10 yesterday. Linebacker Foye Oluokun anchored the defense with 10 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble, accounting for 10 of Jacksonville’s points. Panthers QB Bryce Young struggled with multiple turnovers and poor execution throughout.

The Indianapolis Colts delivered a statement-opening performance by crushing the Miami Dolphins 33-8. Daniel Jones made his Colts debut, tallying 257 passing yards, three total touchdowns (including two rushing). The Colts’ defense dominated as well, forcing three turnovers on Tua Tagovailoa—including two interceptions and a strip sack.

What are three takeaways from Week 1 of the NFL season? Are the Steelers legit? Are the Dolphins the worst team in the NFL? Are the Packers Super Bowl contenders?
