Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss Alabama's loss to Florida State and how it may affect Kalen DeBoer.

This weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide football suffered a major upset in their season opener, falling to the Florida State Seminoles 31–17 in Tallahassee. The Crimson Tide entered the game as a heavy favorite but were outplayed on both sides of the ball by a fired-up Seminoles team. Florida State quarterback Tommy Castellanos led a balanced offensive attack, while the defense overwhelmed Alabama’s offensive line and disrupted quarterback Ty Simpson throughout the game.

The loss marked Alabama’s first season-opening defeat in 24 years and was a huge statement win for FSU. Meanwhile, questions are already swirling around new head coach Kalen DeBoer, who took over following Nick Saban’s retirement. Just one game into the season, the DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa is already under intense scrutiny. Is Kalen DeBoer's job in jeopardy? Who is to blame for Alabama's loss? Does Kmac still believe in Ty Simpson?

Reese, Kmac and Alex discuss if Bill Belichick is a good coach without Tom Brady and if Kalen DeBoer's job is in jeorpardy.

The North Carolina Tar Heels football team suffered a blowout 48-14 loss to TCU last night. The game marked Belichick’s debut in college football after a legendary NFL career, but it turned into one of the worst defeats of his coaching life. While UNC opened strong with an impressive touchdown drive, things quickly fell apart as TCU scored 41 unanswered points. What happened? Is Bill Belichick a good coach without Tom Brady?

Reese and Alex discuss Reese's experience at Bill Belichick debut.

Last night, the UNC Tar Heels football team suffered a brutal 48-14 loss to TCU in what was supposed to be a high-profile season opener under new head coach Bill Belichick. The game marked Belichick’s debut in college football after a legendary NFL career, but it turned into one of the worst defeats of his coaching life. While UNC opened strong with an impressive touchdown drive, things quickly fell apart as TCU scored 41 unanswered points. The loss marked UNC’s worst season-opening defeat since 2003 and sent a clear message that Belichick and his team have a long road ahead. Reese was there! What did Reese like and dislike? What was his experience like?

Reese, Kmac and Alex discuss Michael Vick and Desean Jackson's head coaching debuts and what games we should be watching this weekend.

Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick made his head coaching debut as the Spartans opened their 2025 season last night. The Norfolk State Spartans lost to the Towson Tigers 27-7 at William “Dick” Price Stadium.

Desean Jackson also made his head coaching debut for the Delaware State Hornets against the University of Delaware. The Delaware Fightin' Hens defeated Jackson's Hornets 35-17 last night. How will Desean Jackson and Michael Vick fare going forward?

What games should we be watching this weekend?

Reese, Kmac and Alex discuss NC State's win over ECU, UNC football and more.

The NC State Wolfpack defeated ECU last night. NC State led 17-0 in the 1st half, but needed a 4th-down stop in the final minute to preserve its 24-17 victory over East Carolina. Last night's game ended without incident, a stark contrast to the previous meeting between the two programs in the 2024 Military Bowl—won by ECU—which was spoiled by a late-game brawl. Why did ECU struggle offensively so much in the first half? CJ Bailey impressed? How much has he improved?

Bill Belichick will make his highly anticipated debut as head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday, September 1, 2025, when UNC hosts TCU at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill. Excitement is building around Belichick’s first college coaching season, with tickets already sold out and national attention focused on how the legendary NFL coach will transition to the college game. But what do we know and what can we expect from UNC this season?

Is Duke the best football team in the triangle?

Reese, Kmac and Alex speak with Greear Webb.

Reese, Kmac amd Alex discuss Darian Mensah, CJ Bailey and the wins of NC State and Duke.

Yesterday, Micah Parsons was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers in a blockbuster deal that has shaken up the NFL. Is that why the faithful Cowboy fan Pam is not here in studio? How do Cowboy fans feel?

Both the Duke Blue Devils and NC State Wolfpack won their season openers last night. Duke surged in the second half to defeat Elon 45–17, and quarterback Darian Mensah was electric. Mensah completed 27 of 34 passes, throwing for 389 yards and 3 touchdowns (all in the second half). In 2nd half alone, Mensah was 11-for-11 and made 14 consecutive completions to finish the game. C.J. Bailey and NC State secured a 24-17 victory over East Carolina last night. Bailey had 24 completions on 34 attempts with 318 passing yards, a touchdown and an inreception. Are Bailey and Mensah really that good? How did Duke and State look as a whole?

Reese, Kmac and Alex discuss Jerry Jones trading Micah Parsons to the Packers.

Yesterday, Micah Parsons was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers in a blockbuster deal that has shaken up the NFL. The Cowboys received two first-round draft picks (2026 and 2027) along with Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark in exchange for their star linebacker. Immediately after the trade, Parsons signed a record-setting four-year, $188M contract with the Packers, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. The deal includes $136M guaranteed, with $120M fully guaranteed at signing and $62M in his first year alone. The move has also drawn sharp criticism toward the Cowboys' front office.

Many consider the decision to trade Parsons—arguably the league’s most dominant defensive player—a major misstep, with some going as far as labeling it one of the worst mistakes in Jerry Jones’s career. As both teams move forward, the trade is expected to have a lasting impact on the competitive balance of the NFC and the league as a whole. Would you have traded Parsons? Was this a good trade? Were you shocked when you heard the news?
