Reese and Alex discuss the Charlotte Hornets trading LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially acquired LaMelo Ball and Josh Green from the Charlotte Hornets in a blockbuster trade. In exchange, Charlotte receives Naz Reid, an unprotected 2033 first-round pick, first-round pick swaps in 2028, 2029, and 2030, and three second-round picks (2029, 2032, and 2033). The deal signals Minnesota's commitment to maximizing its championship window around Anthony Edwards by adding an elite playmaker to address a longstanding need at point guard, while Charlotte pivots toward building around a younger core with added draft capital and frontcourt help. Who won the trade?
Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss if Toni Braxton is better than Anita Baker.

Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex speak with Dr. Deborah Stroman.
Dr. Stroman joins the Sports Shop to debate whether the 2026 NBA Champion New York Knicks should visit Donald Trump and the White House to celebrate the Knicks' championship.
James Dolan, owner of the 2026 NBA champion New York Knicks, has a long-standing friendship with President Donald Trump. By accepting a White House invitation on behalf of the team, Dolan has positioned the Knicks to become the first NBA champions to visit Trump during either of his presidential terms. While championship visits to the White House have long been a celebrated tradition, the invitation raises an interesting question: Should the Knicks make the trip, or is a White House visit no longer as simple as celebrating a title?

Should they even be entertaining offers? Austin Reaves re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $185M deal. Is this a good contract for the Lakers? There have been rumors that the Lakers have been interested in acquiring Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen. Should the Lakers try to trade LeBron James to the Cavaliers to acquire Allen?

However, last night Evans was drafted by the Minneosta Timberwolves with the 33rd overall pick and Veesaar was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft, and was quickly traded to the Atlanta Hawks. Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss why the Celtics seem to prefer Jayson Tatum over Jaylen Brown.
The Milwaukee Bucks traded Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat in a blockbuster deal before the 2026 NBA Draft. The Boston Celtics were also courting Giannis and offered Jaylen Brown and 2 first-round picks. How does this trade affect Brown and the Celtics? Why do the Celtics refuse to keep both Tatum and Brown? Despite Brown being healthier than Tatum throughout their respective careers, and Brown winning 2024 Finals MVP, it seems the Celtics favor Tatum. Why do the Celtics prefer Tatum over Brown? Is Jaylen Brown too much? Is he too vocal?
Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss why the Celtics won't keep Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss if the Miami Heat are contenders following their trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Milwaukee Bucks traded Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat in a blockbuster deal before the 2026 NBA Draft. Milwaukee received Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis and multiple draft picks. The trade follows a disappointing, injury-plagued season in which Giannis played only 36 games and the Bucks missed the playoffs. The move ends Giannis’s 13-year run in Milwaukee, where he won two MVPs and led the team to the 2021 NBA title, while making Miami an immediate championship contender. The Boston Celtics were also courting Giannis and offered Jaylen Brown and 2 first-round picks. How does this trade affect Brown and the Celtics? How does this trade impact the Heat? Does it make them contenders?
Dusty May is reportedly leaving Michigan Wolverines to become the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, a move that surprised many in college basketball. The decision comes shortly after May led Michigan to the 2026 NCAA national championship, the program's first national title since 1989. In just two seasons at Michigan, he transformed the team into a national power, compiling an outstanding record while winning conference and national championships. May previously rose to prominence by guiding Florida Atlantic Owls to an unexpected Final Four appearance in 2023, earning a reputation as one of the sport's best program builders. Is this a good move? Why did May leave Michigan?
