Much Love ❤️...more58minPlay
// Yesterday I had the opportunity of talking about motivation and how I apply theories of motivation in my work as a psychology researcher. It was a really fun talk to give and the students seemed to love it. Although the sound quality isn't the best, I wanted to upload it for anyone to listen to it. I hope you enjoy it! June 29, 2019Episode 193: On the 8th Podcast, Jesus Rated ThingsToday’s podcast episode was an absolute jam. Jesus and I staked out some time to cook pancakes together and to record one final podcast before life takes us in different directions. We played overrated/underrated and touched on 20 different topics, including social media, universal health care, free college, camping, Quentin Tarantino, pizza, motorcycles, and meditation. This was such a fun conversation, as always, and I hope you all enjoy our back-and-forth interactions. As Dave Matthews once said, “so much to say, so much to say, so much to say, say, say.” Check it out. You won’t regret it. Lots of love ❤️. Talk soon....more1hPlay
June 24, 2019Episode 192: Part 3 of From My Planner to Your EarsToday’s episode is the third part of my series: From My Planner to Your Ears. It is a quote by Ray Dalio, which is “If you work hard and creatively, you can have just about anything you want, but not anything you want.” This quote is something that I have fought with through periods of my life. Wanting to do everything is a common thing for a young person. However, coming to terms with not being able to do everything and yet having the understanding of how powerful it is to be able to choose your own path is an even greater feeling within itself. I hope you all enjoy this short chat. I’ll be back soon. Much love ❤️....more8minPlay
June 15, 2019Episode 191: Part 2 of From My Planner to Your EarsToday’s episode of my series “From My Planner to Your Ears” covers 2 important quotes which I frequently refer to. The first is a quote from Goethe, the famous German author, which is “Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough. We must do.” This quote is very important to me because of the great value which I need to place on getting down to business and applying what I know. It’s so fun to learn new things, to ponder, and to think through scenarios. However, I need to realize that experience is the greatest teacher, and that if I “do” more, then I will learn more and grow more. The second quote is “He who holds his breath the longest, wins.” This quote from Gary Vaynerchuk seamlessly complements the previous quote from Goethe. If I am to really focus on doing and putting in the work, then it cannot be temporary. It must be pushed on for a long period of time in order to get everything that I want out of it. I appreciate you listening to these reflections and I look forward to recording more of them. Thanks for tuning in. Much love ❤️...more6minPlay
June 09, 2019Episode 190: Part 1 of From My Planner to Your EarsToday I embark on a new series of podcasts called - From My Planner to Your Ears. This is a set of podcasts in which I will discuss various quotes and points which I have written in my planner. These quotes and points are of great importance to me and sum up the person I am and aspire to be. For this first episode, I break down Tai Lopez’s four facets of a great life - health, wealth, love, and happiness. These four facets do a great job of synthesizing some of the most essential things in life, which is why I appreciate it so much. To add on to these facets, he adds a concept called KSE - knowledge, strategy, execution - which aids in obtaining the highest level of the four facets. I hope you all enjoy my breakdown of this idea, as I think it’s super valuable and can help synthesize what we should prioritize. I’m looking forward to the next one, and I hope you are too. Much love ❤️...more16minPlay

Every time Jesus and I talk, I find that I get into a really cool headspace and I am able to draw out some really intriguing thoughts. Check it out! Much Love ❤️...more33minPlay

May 05, 2019Episode 186: A Conversation with Alex OdenToday’s podcast is a conversation I had with my friend Alex Oden. This was a spontaneous yet quite incredible conversation. I hadn’t spent much time with Alex before this, as we met when he subleased my roommate’s half of the room last summer. However, I’ve always seen that he was thoughtful and had been through a lot. Today’s episode uncovers a few of those things which he has been through, which were undoubtedly deep and inspiring. We talk about his rocky beginnings, flying across the country to study at a military institute, his experiences with mental health issues, and a lot more. I hope you all enjoy it! It was one of the best conversations I’ve had thus far, as we got to dive into so many topics which are relevant for all of us. Much Love ❤️...more49minPlay
